That simply has to be the most beautiful Psalmopoeus irminia adult female I've ever seen Greg. Great camera and lighting work. My male's nowhere near as colourful. Amazing!
I do have to say, despite my fear of spiders (especially tarantulas), I do appreciate the cool HD content and my curiosity has been sparked. I'm kind of excited to see the rest of your massive collection.
It would be great if you put the names in text. Then it wold be very easy for people to look up the spiders on internet. Otherwise, very nice video. Best wishes from Bo.
Oh thanks man. I was just watching your OBT rehouse video. Both species are really great to look at. Love the spots on the S. cal's legs and the intricacy of the ornata's patterning is something to behold.
Greg Rice wow that's a lot of ts ..I have 72 tarantulas and I know what kind of time goes into a feeding video... it takes me about 5 hrs to do a 50min video...looking forward to seeing ur next video ☺.
Yeah, just counted 132 tarantulas. I think I only got 79 into this one. I shoot video constantly and it took a couple days to edit about 3.5 hours of footage down to thirty minutes. Squishing the heads of the dubia roaches saves a ton of time! If I didn't, I'd still be waiting for the spiders to grab them.
Greg Rice wow that's a lot of ts..and a lot of time most people that watch our videos don't really get how much time we put into making videos..keep up the great work ☺
Beetles, earthworms and crickets are what they most commonly eat in the wild. They'll eat most anything they can fit in their mouth. Morty is clearly spoiled.
Just wondering.. how moist do you keep your vinegaroon(s)? Also that A Metallica video was at an awesome angle! Love your videos man! Keep em coming they literally make my day, I'm so jealous of some of your T's :)
She's kept pretty dry. I have a full water dish for her at all times though, and she seems to be doing very well. Yeah, my A. metallica is amazing. She's always one I can count on for a great attack and HD eye candy with those white-tipped setae.
So cute ☺️ I'm a bit scared of spiders but I would never hurt one, I just can't bring my self to hurt them. May I ask which one will get the biggest? And how big they will get?
I don't feed on a schedule, rather based on abdomen size and proximity to a molt. Baby spiders should always be fat, juveniles a bit chunky, and adults slightly plump.
I don't feed on a schedule, rather based on abdomen size and proximity to a molt. Baby spiders should always be fat, juveniles a bit chunky, and adults slightly plump.
I have 136 total animals in my personal collection. That doesn't include the 30+ tarantulas I have for sale and about 100 Aphonopelma hentzi slings my aunt and I are raising for release back into the wild here in Oklahoma.
I'm wondering how can you tell if it's a male or female if they are like L6/7 (i mean those brachypelmas ) at least they look like this, or maybe it's just perspective
Love your collection, though sometimes you seem to sort of throw the food at them or startle them into a threat posture. I feel like you rush it a little. Just take your time, man
Ideally, I'd like to place the prey item nearby and let it walk up to the spider for the attack. I do my best to deliver the prey without the spider knowing I exist, though the roaches cling to my finger, or the tongs, or they roll down the dirt hill and the perfect delivery is ruined. I do try and get the spider to take the prey as quickly as possible to save space on my iPod and reduce time spent editing the video.
Phoenix Shadow Females are larger, more aggresive and have longer life spans. Males are shorter but longer legs, less aggressive and shorter life spans. Males also have mating hooks near the fang area. They use these to restrain females while mating.
I would disagree with the "more and less aggressive" statement and some, but not all males have "tibial apophyses" or hooks, that only appear at sexual maturity. They are located at the tibial segment, to assist with mating. They typically will hook the female's fangs so she can't bite down on the male plus it helps them to be able to push her up and back to gain access to her epigynal area. Again, these characteristics in males only present themselves at maturity. Upwards of 95% of tarantulas are not sexually dimorphic until maturity, meaning males and females will look identical as subadults. Sexing the spider with the molt is by far the most reliable way and can be done on spiderlings as small as 1/2". Poecilotheria ornata is an example of a tarantula that does display sexual dimorphism as juveniles. See this thread for great photographic evidence of this. arachnoboards.com/threads/poecilotheria-ornata-sexual-dimorphism.280879/
what the hell you're tarantulas are so dried out the substrate is so dry and they look so dried out and dehydrated most of those species are tropical from the tropics with high moisture and high humidity oh my gosh dude
I appreciate your concern Sally, but these are captive bred spiders and as such aren't particularly sensitive to drier enclosures. They get all the moisture they need from a provided water dish. Most tarantulas except for a few species develop a thick waxy cuticle that helps them retain moisture very well. Dry enclosures also prevent mold growth and cut down on the mite populations.
*HEY EXOTIC!!! WHERE DID U GET THOSE small CLEAR CONTAINERS THAT ARE IN THE FIRST FEW MINS OF THE VID??? (The rectangle ones with the slanted corners)*
I do have to say, despite my fear of spiders (especially tarantulas), I do appreciate the cool HD content and my curiosity has been sparked. I'm kind of excited to see the rest of your massive collection.
Those flies don't fly away? :o
some species of fly don't fly at all... they should call 'em "walks" of course
Yes, they're a genetically mutated species called Drosophila hydei. They have wings, but their muscles are too weak for flight.
No.
i remember when exotics used to comment on videos. now he is famous.

You do the best tarantula videos, feeding/housing/molting but I've watched them all now, so, um, more please!
Thank you! I'm flattered.
Great video you can water them also as you feed we love the sound of water dripping. They are gorgeous and so healthy
You need to do MORE videos! You don't realize how great they are compared...go for it!
Really great video! Wonderful closeups! Enjoy your videos very much! Thanks!
Thanks Denise. I'm glad you enjoy them!
Easily the best T feeding videos on UA-cam. Wonderful Tarantulas too. Thanks Greg.
You're welcomed Ash. :)
Great feeding video with lots of interresting species. Thanx for sharing. Take care. 🤗🕸🕷🇸🇪
i love hearing the crunch of these bugs bodies
I do have to say, despite my fear of spiders (especially tarantulas), I do appreciate the cool HD content and my curiosity has been sparked. I'm kind of excited to see the rest of your massive collection.
Keep watching and you'll probably get better. Feeding video #15 is next!
Will do and I can't wait. Hopefully as time progresses, I'll get over the fear quicker.
Brilliant vid! That salamander at the end cracked me up.
He's the best! Always looks so dorky after swallowing a roach.
such epic collection it's too bad he doesn't do feeding videos anymore. a. antillensis is so cool and i've never seen one for sale.
You have some really nice T`s.
Love your videos! They are just great! Thanks!
No, thank you for the nice comment!
@ 5:14 spider looking with puppy eyes like thank you human lol
Awesome vid! Nice touch to lure out the Lampropelma sp Borneo black out first :D keep it up!
I'll try for ane even better shot next time. She's very shy and photosensitive.
Excellent video! Beautiful Tarantulas :)
Thank you!
Awesome Tarantulas
Good video, love the camerawork.
Thanks! It's a labor of love.
Beautiful T's mate! Love your Ephebopus murinus.
Stromatopelma calceatum is an arboreal spec.!
Thanks! That S. cal decided to stay at the bottom of his cage when I took the lid off, so it worked nicely for the video.
2:28 This must be a princess, it was so delicate. lol
Oh yes, a princess for sure. Both of my Aphonopelma moderatum are princesses.
You make it look so easy . By the way your Psalmopoeus irminia is stunning 💜
Thanks Yvette! They’re pretty good spiders and take direction well!
Best feeding vids on the web. Love that gabeli. Yeah, I’m a little late here. 😉
Haha! Thanks Jake!
Great feeding video mate 😊
Thank you sir!
It would be great if you put the names in text. Then it wold be very easy for people to look up the spiders on internet. Otherwise, very nice video. Best wishes from Bo.
Yeah Greg another first rate Vid!!! Liked the S cal and ornatas!
Oh thanks man. I was just watching your OBT rehouse video. Both species are really great to look at. Love the spots on the S. cal's legs and the intricacy of the ornata's patterning is something to behold.

BTW - great videography!
loved this video, thanks for sharing man!
Glad you do! Thanks for watching!
Your Ts don't waste much time when dinner drops in 👍🏼
Amazing ending!!!!
Glad you liked it. I really love that silly salamander. He's always trying to eat me.
great feeling video. .love ur collection. ☺
Thanks Dave. There's another 40 or so that didn't make the cut this time.
Greg Rice wow that's a lot of ts ..I have 72 tarantulas and I know what kind of time goes into a feeding video... it takes me about 5 hrs to do a 50min video...looking forward to seeing ur next video ☺.

Pretty smart how you crush the heads of your dubias preventing em from playing possum lol!
These are some quality good videos.
Thanks!
Greg Rice im quite new to the hobby an my G pulchripes has been refusing food for the past 6/7 months. I understand this is normal with this genus?
For an adult, yes, that's normal. For a spiderling, no. I'm guessing you have an adult or subadult.
Greg Rice yes i have an adult female. About 6 inches
Mine didn't eat in this video either. She's since taken food. Just keep offering monthly unless you notice obvious signs of premolt.
i bet that salamander would love a night crawler worm.
He used to love eating them, but now he turns up his nose at them. If he does bite one, he'll spit it out. All he wants is roaches now.
Thats weird isint that there mane food in the wild?
Beetles, earthworms and crickets are what they most commonly eat in the wild. They'll eat most anything they can fit in their mouth. Morty is clearly spoiled.
Lol no kidding wish i could get those roches here in Saskatchewan. But no go.
I love H. inceis too !!
Just wondering.. how moist do you keep your vinegaroon(s)? Also that A Metallica video was at an awesome angle! Love your videos man! Keep em coming they literally make my day, I'm so jealous of some of your T's :)

So cute ☺️ I'm a bit scared of spiders but I would never hurt one, I just can't bring my self to hurt them. May I ask which one will get the biggest? And how big they will get?
Of all the ones in this video, my Lasiodora parahybana will be the biggest, at nearly ten inches. She appears at 27:02
Nice crunching going on. Lol.
How often do you feed ? , your T's always look in amazing condition, a credit to you... love the videos
I don't feed on a schedule, rather based on abdomen size and proximity to a molt. Baby spiders should always be fat, juveniles a bit chunky, and adults slightly plump.
Just ordered a Lyrognathus giannisposatoi, really liked them in your video
Hey, congrats! They're a really cool species. I'm sure you'll enjoy them.
Awesome feeding video! You have a pretty large collection of T's. Where do you get the flightless fruit flies from?
Thank you! The collection stands at 136 animals including a scorpion, a wolf spider, the vinegaroon and of course my salamander.
Nice T,s I have a hard time with just 2.
love the females there pretty i subscribed and liked
Thanks!

Greg Rice Dang! That's impressive!
I'm wondering how can you tell if it's a male or female if they are like L6/7 (i mean those brachypelmas ) at least they look like this, or maybe it's just perspective
All of the ones I identify as male or female I've sexed myself from their molts.
Watch my sexing video:

Nice T's you have there!
Thanks Jason
Do they have fresh water
I clean out and refill water dishes weekly.
In the beginning of ur video where did you get those tiny enclosures?
Hobby Lobby sells them in six-packs. They're meant to be display cases for hotwheels cars and such.
Hey man what do you do with your dubia's? When i feed my t's my dubias would be skittish af.
Just a light smashing on their heads and they won't play dead.
New sub
I appreciate it.

How many taranchulas do you have
130ish
26:45 "who is in my garden's house?"
do you feed them every day?
Absolutely not! They eat on average twice a month.
ahh.. ok. thank you
how can you tell which is male or female?
I've sexed the majority of my collection from their molts.

Hi
Hello
29:46 so happy!
where did you get those enclosures?
Most are from Hobby Lobby.
oh like the figure displays and what not?
These are sold as model car and sports memorabilia display cases.
How do you gender a Ts sling that sized 1.5" - 2" ? Thankyou in advance.
Lots of patience and a good microscope. Have you seen my sexing video?
Not yet, thankyou for answering my question, i hope this help me :).
Next to be fed...
só eu de br aqui?
How many T's you have?
132

Yes, the remains of her previous molt.
Greg Rice oh thanks I really like tarantulas
Glad to hear it Bianca! Thanks for watching.
Greg Rice thanks
