Go higher up the mountain and you'll find bigger crystals. Use a wood dowel or a wood chopstick to help dig. Looks like you two had a lot of fun. Hope you make it to Idaho.
Awesome adventure great eye beautiful finds way to go frank thank you
0n the road to the mountain the road glistens with Topaz
Amazing video. I think I have some of those topaz crystals from you. I had the most fun cleaning them off. There was a nice mix of the golden color and white sparkly colors. Those tiny clusters are amazing. Thanks for sharing. It makes me appreciate them more.
Amazing video keep up the great work. I wish I could be like you guys! Always hunting
I wish I were younger and had your energy.
Amazing video!!
Thanks for sharing!!
These are cool I got some from Bryan in a giveaway. Hope you guys are doing well. Rock on!!!
Love it!
I was wondering how people were sure they got everything on blast days. Turns out they missed stuff. Good deal. On to your next vid
Awesome! I kept looking in the video for some that I bought from yall on your facebook live sale! Hope all is well for you two!!
If you're exploring that area, the book A Field Guide to Topaz and Associated Minerals of the Thomas Range is a really great asset. In the cove, the book describes area 2, that is the spot where you can see a rusted iron spike sticking out of the ground, way at the top of the mountain. It's the old commercial claim from long ago. It has the best sherry topaz crystals and it's the easiest to work the vugs and you don't have to pay. There's also a great spot on the backside of the cove with garnets all over.
The coordinates to what I believe is the source of the garnets is here: 39.716568,-113.148624
You will encounter them all over the hillside if you work your way to the coordinates. They get bigger, and matrix pieces at the coordinates.
@@teecee4459 are you sure the coordinates are correct? They are pretty far from the Topaz Mountain rockhounding area.
@@sparkplugs13 yes. I've been there 3 times. A vague description appears in John Holfert's Thomas Range Field Guide book, with hand drawn maps. I wasn't sure if I was in the right spot, but once I started finding garnets everywhere, I assumed I figured out the map and description. It's not really far from Topaz Mountain, it's quite close.
Hell I had no idea Logan Paul was a rockhound
Love the videos. Where's your wife in the last 2 videos? Hope everything is OK. Keep making awesome videos!!!
Thats alot of work for tiny crystals!

Interesting the sun fades them..??.. how is that?
You guys should look for OPAL!
Hahah we actually did! Will be posting a video in the near future. 😍
@@ThatCampingCouple Cool 😎 thanks 😊
I know this is rather late, but do you have any specimens similar to the thumbnail you used for the video? With the topaz points on matrix still?
What's the difference between a topaz and quartz?
Quartz is SiO2, topaz is Al2SiO4(F,OH)2, so not really the same mineral.
@@lechatvenere So what does that mean exactly
@@cscherbarth1622 they both are silicate (SiO...), but are not the same gemmes as they are not constituated of the same molecules.
I can't explain more 🤷♂️
Strangely, your videos ends very suddenly, it seems that the normal ends are missing 🤔
