- Introducing the the Xeon W Workstation powered by Intel® Xeon® W processors for professional workloads, This platform includes Intel® Xeon® W-3400 (34-hundred) and Intel® Xeon W-2400 (24-hundred) processors, formerly codenamed the Sapphire Rapids workstations.
For nearly 20 years, the Intel architecture has been the workstation of choice for Software Developers, Scientists, Creatives, and Engineers, all relying on Intel’s high-performance computing and rock-solid stability to power their workloads. With these professionals in mind, this platform includes industrial grade features for the most demanding user, including:
• 3rd Gen Intel Deep Learning Boost, Deep Learning and AI acceleration
• Intel vPro Enterprise Technologies, for improved system manageability.
• and RAS Technologies to ensure workstation up-time and minimal interruptions to a user’s workflow.
The Intel Xeon W platform also features a breadth of improvements:
• Up to 56 cores in a single socket, core counts that on previous Intel based workstations, would need two CPU sockets to achieve.
• Up to 4.8Ghz of Intel® Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0, for increased system responsiveness to help you stay in the flow
• Up to 4 terabytes of DDR5 memory capacity, delivering over double the memory bandwidth over previous generation DDR4 memory.
• Up to 112 CPU PCIe Gen 5.0 lanes for system expansion, delivering nearly 4 times the PCIe bandwidth over previous generation workstation platforms.

Someone is having fun in Blender lol
This summer 2023 I am planning on building an Intel W7-2475X 20-Core system with initially 512GB of memory. I'm waiting for the DDR5 128GB RDIMMs to show up in Canada.
My use of the workstation is for TerreSculptor 3 and Unreal Engine 5 for large open world creation and tutorial videos, plus importing services for my business.
My current top computer is an AMD R9-5950X, ASUS ROG X570, 128GB DDR4, RTX-3090, and the 128GB is simply too limiting, I need the 512GB (or more).
I also have two Intel X99 platform computers, and I really like the Intel Workstation platforms.
I am on X299 and I use mine for gaming and encoding. Love Intels HEDT and will be building a W5-2455X system.
@@demonofelru3214 - What region are you in? Can you find stock of any of the parts for your W2400 system? All that I can find in Canada is the ASUS W790 motherboard. No luck yet on anything else that I want for the system. No one is showing stock on the 2475X or the RDIMMs.
@@daveg4417 Nothing local yet, just newegg for the ASrock board and CPU.
@@demonofelru3214 I'm also getting that CPU! :) parts should arrive soon!
@@stefannilsson2406 Awesome!
I want one!!!
Good for Workstation Business Models where Data Integrity is Personal.
Could I ever make full use of a 56 core CPU? No. Do I want one? Yes.
Intel take my money.
Can the 3400 one be used in the Intel Mac Pro 2019?
No. Chipsets is different and socket is different.
I really want to intel w7 2475x. I have a workstation I want to build so bad. That would be the perfect cpu.
Next mobo 790: with 12pcie 16x run 4x speed only:
