I work at Walmart, and yes, it’s insane what some people will do. We had to lock them up behind a register so that people wouldn’t steal them. And they’re still gone almost constantly
@@bodoke8266 Yeah, there is always a bunch of card opening trashes in some of the areas. Mainly most of them are stolen. I constantly notice how there are nearly no pokemon cards in the walmart section.
I remember back in about 2010-2016 me, my dad and my brother's used to love playing the actual card game together. We didn't care at all about the value or collecting them, we just wanted to have fun. Sitting at the kitchen table playing against my dad on a rainy day, flipping coins and hoping to pull a certain energy card I needed is such a happy, nostalgic childhood memory to me. I find it really scary now that collecting pokémon cards has become so serious and expensive, it kind of ruins it in a way. I don't even know what terms like 'secret rare' means or what the value of our small collection of older cards is worth. I wouldn't sell them anyway, even if it's a small fortune, because they're really sentimental to me.. I just find it kind of sad that such an innocent game from my childhood has become so daunting.. (That was way longer than I meant it to be haha, sorry)
I remember those kinds of things too. Except my dad was drunk or high most of the time and we weren't playing together he was just ignoring me. Good times.
I fail to see the big deal behind skinny/fat 1st editions or shadowless or shineys and now reverse holos and vmax, ect... When I collected them it was the base and jungle set over 20 years ago, which were relatively easy to get the whole set as I did. I sold the sets on Ebay for the cost of buying all the packs at around $700 total over 20 years ago. I had the 1st edition sets of base and jungle and the cost of those now are astronomical. But I collected them because I played the game & liked it but when me and my friends didn't play it anymore I got rid of it.
old things with demand retain their value, and Pokemon is the biggest franchise in the world. there are more fans of it now than ever. So the market is shifting in to a much more serious place, like how classic marvel and dc comics are also worth many, many, many thousands of dollars, after 60-80 years post-print. dont be surprised when the Pokemon market goes up even more. Pokemon is only 25 years old. Imagine what these cards will be worth in another 25 years.
It makes me kinda sad that Pokemon Cards have seemingly never had their actual purpose. I remember wanting so, so, so badly to play the game, and could never find anyone to play with or who wanted to try to play. Now it really is just gambling. My cards will forever sit in my deck gathering dust.
I believe many people play Pokemon TCG but not with real cards and deck, but in Online/LIVE client instead. It helps save cards in mint condition and also helps save time on things like shuffling, coin flips, damage counter putting etc.
It’s insane tbh how crazy people are acting over Pokémon. Imagine being a kid and finally getting some money and then go to a nearby store just to see adults fighting each other for the cards you want, OR the entire stock SOLD OUT.
my younger brother got into the tcg again because of those kinds of people around the same time that i started getting back into pokémon as a whole again (it’s been a sort of comfort franchise and hyperfixation for me for years now but throughout most of 2020 i lost interest and in 2021 i got back into it). i’ve always loved collecting the cards, so we went out to target and went to get a few booster packs since we have the money to. they had a limit on how many we could get, but we were able to get 2 packs each. a couple weeks later, we went to gamestop to get cards. they were sold out completely. we tried a couple other stores and eventually we happened across a dollar store that was selling packs from around 2014. really puts into perspective how much people who aren’t even fans of the franchise have ruined it for people who are imo.
Me and my mum went to the local target let’s say a month ago and we went up to the help station lady and my mum asked “ hello would you know where the Pokémon cards would be?” Then the lady pointed to a sign saying they weren’t selling them anymore because someone went insane and when someone bought the last pack they PULLED A GUN OUT ON THEM. I just am shocked when hearing this and I have so many questions “are they ok?” I ask the help lady of which she replies “yeah they handed over the pack but when the crazy guy realized he had a card box in one hand and a gun in the other he just drove off” and that’s the last time I asked for Pokémon cards at target.
Damn that's insane. I knew Target stopped selling them cause people were being idiots but I didnt know something that serious happened. If you want packs they're still sold at Walmart. They were out for a while but have come back.
Walmart is probably the best place to look, either they have them at the front behind a counter or in the 'boy toys' aisle beside the wrestling figures
my classmate in 4th or 5th grade had this MASSIVE full art charizard. he had to hold it with both of his hands. i didnt know that official cards could be that big so i thought it was fake, looking back it was probably real
i'm just trying to collect one card of every Pokémon(but ones like Regieleki and Spectrier don't have cards yet), idc about Trainers or Energy. Hell I'd trade my Charizard-GX just because I already have a Vivid Voltage one and I don't need the GX one(but my brother has the GX as part of his deck sooooo Edit: nvm now i collect any card, except energy cards with no Collector Card Njmber
Content creators that open boxes usually have good accountants and are able to write off the majority of the costs of packs and boxes as a loss and a business expense which helps make up a massive margin
Scalpers have made the hobby way harder to collect. All started with Logan Paul opening those 2 base set booster boxes, sparked a lot of hype in the tcg and prices have never been the same since.
I collect Yu-Gi-Oh cards, and due to the stuff surrounding Pokemon, retailers also stopped selling them as well. My local card shop sells some of the products above retail, and I don't want to pay extra for shiny cardboard.
yeah Logan Paul really fucked up Yu-gi-oh, MTG, Pokemon, all the primary TCGs. Scalpers saw what happened to Pokemon and went after the others aswell. Fr tho dude fucked up TCGs permanently unless the US starts passing some serious anti-scalping laws for things outside of like...tickets to sports games or movies or whatever. Until then, it's just gonna keep getting worse.
This is why I’m happy I’m a dork who makes Gunpla as a hobby, only fans of Gundam even care, so I don’t need to worry about my local hobby store no longer stocking new and old kits.
The whole craze has inspired me to go through my collection again. I have plenty of old cards, from flea markets and second hand shops, and the like. It's probably not gonna be possible to buy cards that way again, and that has me kinda sad. It was so fun as a kid, to find a person giving up their collection on a market, going through the cards, picking the ones that I thought prettiest. I have bought 100 cards for 10 € once. I really want to get back into collecting them, but... I haven't seen a booster pack in a *while* , and the newer gens aren't as interesting to me as the older ones. I hope there will be new sets with the Gen4 remakes. And I hope there will be a way to actually get my hands on some cards again.
@@th-lm8rg The booster packs are coming back slowly to my local shops, haha I've bought one recently Flea markets have been rare the last few years, but they're coming back, too, so there is a chance to get lucky again ^-^
my faith in the tcg community hit an all time low back in 2019 when i bought multiple hidden fates packs at my local Walmart only to discover someone had already bought them, open them, resealed them and brought them back for a refund. I'm pretty sure they weren't allowed to re-shelf those but they did ;-; it could have been someone who worked there. I dropped the tcg a few months later. it's sad to see the community like this. Edit i should also say that, i'm in a VERY small town so if that's happening here than i can't imagine what it's like in big cities.
I'm not big on Pokemon cards because there sold out everywhere and everyone fighting over them and I don't wanna be the one getting punched over a pack of cards lol
Saw a bunch of old Duel Masters cards being bid on on a local site. There were some Japanese cards in between, which is rare, but l didn't think it justified the highest bid of around $1000 for less than 100 cards. It's at that point people should step back and remember they're doing this for shiny pieces of cardboard.
It made me so sad when Target stopped selling cards. Before they blew up I would buy a booster pack or two and got some good Tag Team cards sometimes. But now because people go crazy for them I can’t even be a casual card fan without shelling out for cards. It sucks, especially because I feel like those buying them up like crazy don’t even like pokemon
Streamers ruined card game markets. I'm big into Yugioh, and even though nothing has really affected our game, people are hoarding older and higher rarity cards, just on the off chance that some streamer with waaaaay too much money decides he wants to buy out all of the PSA 10 DDS Blue-Eyes White Dragons on the market or something.
It'll calm down eventually. It's an "investment" rush, IE speculation on prices and scalping. Once interest dies down, the price will drop like a rock. Same thing happened in the 00s.
@@beebs56 idk about back then, but considering this is only going on because people have time to spare and an income to provide for, once the pandemic completely ends (1-2 years) then it’s gonna end quick in most areas
@@beebs56 A couple years, and then the price bottoms out as the market crashes. It happens any time someone influential says "these are going to be really valuable in a few years" and they are invariably wrong.
@Wanna Be a Smurt Person Trying Psychic type includes Ghost (weak to dark) and Fairy (weak to metal) (fairy was discontinued at the start of sword and shield, you can still use fairy cards and energy but not in tournaments) Fighting includes Rock (weak to grass) and Ground (weak to water) Dark includes Poison (weak to psychic) (as of sword and shield, anything older is part of psychic) Colorless/Normal includes Flying (weak to lightning, resists fighting) Water includes Ice (weak to metal, sometimes fire) and Grass contains bug (weak to fire just like grass)
@Wanna Be a Smurt Person Trying It's one of the easiest TCG to learn. Try Pokemon TCG Online. It has a tutorial. You don't have to bother with types at first. Most decks only have one to be consistent. Three at most
Oooh this is why target isn’t selling pokemon, that’s kinda sad. I just want to occasionally buy a booster pack and see what fun Pokémon I get. Let me be a causal collected that never finishes a deck
It's worse than it sounded in the video. They stopped having them in stores because someone pulled a gun over baseball cards, which basically scared stores into not having any cards other than magic the gathering anymore.
Its insane the price of cards today. Makes it more difficult to continue to collecting but hoping the hype does a little, or Pokémon prints more cards :)
Actually most collectors don't collect full sets, they tend to choose something to specialize in like Japanese promo cards, full art trainers, specific pokemon/trainers, just to name a few options.
My buddy when he was a kid purchased a ton of the sealed booster boxes for the original first edition set ever made. I’m talking about 50 of them. Overtime he sold one or two here and there to help make ends meet when times were tough. Even after that he still had just over 40 of them left. He just recently sold them all due to the massive spike in prices and was able to put a sizable down payment on a house.
tbh i dont think that anyone is actually buying cards to play the tcg. its all perceived value, a market held aloft by its participants simply believing they are investing. but i would be lying if i said that i didnt buy a shiny alcremie off of tcgplayer
I hate how i cant go get my single booster pack of the week as my "treat to myself" like i used to do. It was never that big of a thing and more of a sweet little nostalgia kick opening up a fresh pack and seeing what i got. But now because idots cant let people have fun its all down the shoot.
I once had almost 100 cards... and then, coming home from school, I saw my infant brother destroy literally all of them, laughing as he saw my face as I was in disbelief.
I had my Pokemon cards stolen, I was collecting them for fun, but that just crushed my hobby. I only play Pokemon games now. Sorry to read that, I feel your pain.
I love how her reactions are genuine: CandyEvie: “Ooo wow cool” aDrive: “OH MY GOOOOOD YOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOOAH. NO WAY DUDE! NO WAY! OMG YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO”
I understand, it's exciting when you pull something expensive to pay the box value, but there are some pokemon tcg content creators that looks like did drugs before the unboxing tbh
The fact that so many kids are just gonna never be able to get pokemon cards for their birthdays or for Christmas anymore because of greedy adults makes child me realize how much nicer people were back then
Man, I remember when I was like 8, going to the local flea markets and you could buy old Japanese fossil, jungle, and team rocket packs for like $3 a piece. I’m now 23 and will cherish those memories forever, because I will never be able to afford it again haha.
I mean that is the problem though. People are turning a game that was meant to be played into an investment and it ruins the experience for the people who actually want to play the game by making product scarce and driving the price up to where it no longer becomes an affordable hobby. Its the reason why big retail stores no longer sell cards because of this behavior and it creates an unhealthy barrier of entry for actually playing the game like it was intended to be.
I remember when I collected Pokemon cards. I remember getting my first one, a hollow Mudkip from McDonalds and wanting to collect more. I didn't know jack about the competitive scene or how to actually use them, but I still liked pretending to have battles with my little sister. I stopped collecting a long time ago and definitely don't plan on getting any more in the climate of money hungry scalpers but I still love them a just like to look at them once in a while and reminisce of good times.
Yeah the price hike in Pokemon product over the recent years has definitely been astounding to me. It definitely bums me out as someone who likes opening all sorts of sets and was able to freely do that in years past. Nowadays I just open whatever set is most likely to give me my value back which is usually the most recent set, and I don't aim to collect the whole set just open a bit of it for fun hopefully break about even while building my collection of commons for myself and friends for our decks.
The store I work at sells them and it’s sheer madness whenever we get new ones in. Chilling Reigns is supposed to come out next week and I’m terrified for my life.
i really like how you didn't freak out on every hit like a lot of card openings i seen. it was really nice for once for to see pack openings and you were surprised but also like sincerely happy that you got some cute and cool playable cards. i enjoyed this video
The worst part is the drive for it right now makes me want to buy it more, like if I see a pack I'll be like "gotta get it before the scalpers do" even though before I probably wouldn't have even thought about it. (I do like buying a pack every once in awhile because I think the art's nice)
I remember the energy card gave the Pokemon more health or more damage depending on how cool it looked. Fighting, fire, steel, poison would give more damage, while cards like water, grass, and fairy gave more health. Needless to say everyone wanted the fire cards as they were the most common and the energy gave them more damage so that they could wipe their opponent on the floor.
in like 3rd grade we would make up little tournament brackets with our group of like 8 friends, and everyone got to bring 6 cards and one of those giant promos that xy did simpler times
I totally agree with this, I played Pokémon back in 2016 and I got an elite trainer box(I think it was ancient origins) for Christmas and it was around 50 dollars… it sells for around 1000 dollars right now😱
This craziness with cards has made me want to buy a few. But now that they’re all not selling them I’m pretty mad. And I imagine the all the scalpers are trying to sell cards for thousands. Or they’re not real. I’m sad that I can’t get cards anymore
I've always hated scalpers, but they're really ruining everything lately. I expected to not get a PS5 for a while, but now I can't even get freaking Pokemon cards?!
At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if Pokémon cards are so expensive and rare to find that a single bulbasaur is as expensive as a PSA 10 shadowless charizard
Hey they still sell Pokémon cards the stores are just hiding it we found some and it was full with Pokémon cards can you move the Pokémon cards from the main area where you get them so you cannot find them easily
LITERALLY. I've been collecting cards since I was little but 2 years ago I actually got into playing the card game. Now I can't get any of the new stuff so now I have to gamble on magic the gathering :'^))
@@fireflare908 the old mr mime card from like 2000 or so. it only has 40 health, but if an attack deals 30 or more damage to it he takes no damage at all. its attack starts weak only dealing 10, but it deals 10 plus all the damage already on it so if it has say 40 damage it deals 50 damage.
Thanks Logan Paul for getting scammed on a base set box. Really drove up the market from copycat youtubers claiming all of their boxes on business write offs and cypro kids thinking this is the next cash cow
So it's been a year and I can't believe how accurate I was lmao. People really have been treating the TCG like a stock option, buying boxes to hold and keep unopened as inflation goes insane. All of the cards in big stores near me have now been security boxed because they're being stolen so often. And the worst part? I bought a Pokémon Center Celebrations ETB in January and pulled the Base Set Charizard, worth £80 ungraded, paid £50 to get it PSA graded over 3 months and it's now sat on my shelf worth £140 as a Grade 9. I paid £110 in total for it, since the ETB was £63. If PSA hadn't cracked down on their ratings to cause artificial value inflation it would have been a 10. And because of that I now have 6 opened ETBs in my wardrobe and bought most of the Celebrations products🤦🏻♂️
I used to love collecting Pokémon cards, but I never really _collected_ them. Like, I loved buying boosters and just seeing what I'd get, and making nice decks out of them. I loved the feeling of getting a LV X or EX or whatever. But I never tried to "complete" a set or went looking for a specific card. I never bought a single card online or anything. I never looked how much my cards were worth, or thought of a card as a cash value. So I never thought of it as gambling, or the whole concept of "making my money back". To me, I spent the money, and got the cards, and that was it. The only reason I'm scared to buy Pokémon cards now is because I missed thousands of cards already and starting again now would feel weird because I'll never get the ones I missed.
Still dejected about the Target thing- the TCG has been one of my favorite games and I’ve played for years, so the fact that I haven’t been able to obtain any new cards since, like, Christmas, is disappointing. Have some manners, folks!
I relate so much to this video... I never got the chance to really collect a lot of cards, but I was always interested in the amazing artworks on the cards and eventually learning to play the game (super fun). I sort of went away and came back at the end of 2021 and oh boy was it terrifying. As mainly a collector who's also broke I understand wanting to get the most value out of my money and sort of looking at what all my cards are worth, but at the same time I just want to have fun. I'm opening these products, I'm GOING to lose money. That's how buying and opening ANYTHING is supposed to work. But with people buying tons of sealed products as a form of investment (someone on reddit literally asked what to buy since they were sinking $3000 in Pokemon TCG as an investment) and calculating how much profit or loss they get from ripping every product is insane. I loved that you were happy every time you got a hit (even holo hits) because that's what it's supposed to be like, not going "oh it's another worthless $2 card". Of course I'd buy singles if there's a card I really want but opening new products and collecting cards bit by bit is supposed to be fun and the money really sucks the fun out of it.
Yeah, i agree with ya about the money part. No disrespect to Candy, but it made me kinda sad how she was frequently commenting on how much the cards she pulled would be worth and whether she’d be making back what she payed for the boxes. That’s not the point for me, i just enjoy collecting them because they’re cool and i really love the pokemon world!
goodbye finishing crimson invasion. i just hope all this hype dies off soon, and there will be a huge crash of value. serves you right for following a hype train, destroying a niche hobby just for monetary value.

I got back into collecting when evolutions came out and me and my wife went hard on those ETBS and booster boxes lol now seeing the prices of them and the value is insane.
You don’t have to collect them in that way. I love drawing and I epically love drawing Pokémon so you could always make a collection of your own or use a computer and find different pictures to put together. There’s more than one way to collect cards.
@@carolinebergin4633 Neat idea! 💟 Less expensive to. Because cards are getting more expensive because of idiots ruining everything for us casual collecters.
In a world of seemingly unlimited cash-flow pokemon card openings, this video was very refreshing. Happened to stumble upon this and it's my favorite Poké video I've seen in a while. Plus your voice is adorable.
Interesting thing about sealed products the longer past going out of print the less related to value of singles pack prices get. It starts to be based off of nostalgia, the pack opening experience, and supply.
Eh, I don’t really care about the “value” or the “market.” I just wanna enjoy the cards themselves! Though I have been considering buying some f those McDonald’s cards I didn’t get during the event and they’re not too bad compared to some of the other stuff (though they would def add up). But even that is more just… because I want them.
The only value that matters to me is the sentimental value. I was more happy giving my old cards to my nephew that if I sold them for a few bucks, honestly (and buying him a few sets before everything went completely crazy)
@@rameball it will never die down. Pokemon cards will be popular forever. The only reason they're hard to find now is people who don't know anything about pokemon decided to buy anything to attempt to flip
This makes me think of when I pulled the Alt Art Latios and Latias Tag Team GX, and seeing its regular pricing jump up to now being over $200 when I usually check. And I pulled it from one of the 3 card packs that I'd usually find in Dollar Tree or some general stores. 1$ Packs XD
5:03 Yep! It happened at my Target. People were actually attacking each other outside the stores to steal cards from others, while actual Pokemon Card fans are sitting in the corner laughing, crying, or both!
That's honestly pathetic, if I may be so blunt. Fighting over the cards is one thing, but the people who actually like the hobby are LAUGHING at them instead of trying to do something about it is just messed up. It makes me think that people who do that sort of thing have no right to be complaining about this, since they're not doing anything to prevent those damned scalpers from gobbling up everything before the people who actually want to collect and/or play with the cards are able to for themselves
Reminds me of when I tried to prove scratch lottery tickets were a waste of money and ended up turning $10 into $150 over the course of a half hour or so.
I don't have actual data to back this up, but whenever I buy boxes like the ones you got I pull some GOOD cards, whenever I buy just card boosters I usually pull trash cards
It’s kind of weird that the price of the rarer cards is still so high. As someone who got lost in the throws of nostalgia and probably spent more than they should of, it seemed like the rarer stuff was consistently not that rare
Yesterday I went to target because I had a gift card and there were actually some Pokémon cards. There were only the one pack ones, but I was still surprised.
I got back into collecting recently, before I collected from 2006-2011 and now it's so different, I live in a city with about 225 000 people and none of the retail stores around here can keep any pokemon stocked for more than 48 hours before EVERYTHING is gone, and I'm not sure if it's high demand from lots of consumers or just a small few re sellers buying all of the sealed product in my region but either way it is crazy same story with any retail store in any neighboring towns. I really hope it's not re sellers because I saw so many kids cry this holiday season because they couldn't get pokemon cards since they are all always sold out. Absolutely crazy how much the card scene has changed, and don't even get me started on the price of old sealed product, I don't think anyone could've foreseen things getting this crazy

But I collected them because I played the game & liked it but when me and my friends didn't play it anymore I got rid of it.
old things with demand retain their value, and Pokemon is the biggest franchise in the world. there are more fans of it now than ever. It makes me kinda sad that Pokemon Cards have seemingly never had their actual purpose. I remember wanting so, so, so badly to play the game, and could never find anyone to play with or who wanted to try to play. Now it really is just gambling. My cards will forever sit in my deck gathering dust.

same thing is happening with yugioh, some stores are limiting number of packs per customer
my younger brother got into the tcg again because of those kinds of people around the same time that i started getting back into pokémon as a whole again (it’s been a sort of comfort franchise and hyperfixation for me for years now but throughout most of 2020 i lost interest and in 2021 i got back into it). i’ve always loved collecting the cards, so we went out to target and went to get a few booster packs since we have the money to. they had a limit on how many we could get, but we were able to get 2 packs each. a couple weeks later, we went to gamestop to get cards. they were sold out completely. we tried a couple other stores and eventually we happened across a dollar store that was selling packs from around 2014. really puts into perspective how much people who aren’t even fans of the franchise have ruined it for people who are imo.
Near me I have seen Pokémon cards in stock for a month at Walgreens battle styles and some sun and moon sets pretty good

Idk what's more terrifying, the tcg prices or eyeless torchic.
Still dejected about the Target thing- the TCG has been one of my favorite games and I’ve played for years, so the fact that I haven’t been able to obtain any new cards since, like, Christmas, is disappointing. Have some manners, folks!
I loved the packs with giant cards. I like to use them in my room as wall decor.

I bought a bunch of the holos I was missing from a local shop including the pikachu for 40 dollars. Not too bad.
The only value that matters to me is the sentimental value.
I was more happy giving my old cards to my nephew that if I sold them for a few bucks, honestly (and buying him a few sets before everything went completely crazy)
Me too
You bought em cuz you like em
They have value to you! That’s what matters (:
Buying Pokemon Cards is becoming as crazy as buying Amiibo.
FACT
Honestly i have to agree everyone is going insane over them but like the amiibo craze it will die down in time but there's no way of knowing when
@@rameball it will never die down.
@@matthewkuscienko4616 Ahhhhhh, that part about the laughing in the corner, that was a joke.
13:59 "Oh we got a- [number 1 victory royale]"
Stop it. Get some help.
Reminds me of when I tried to prove scratch lottery tickets were a waste of money and ended up turning $10 into $150 over the course of a half hour or so.
The power of gambling
I don't have actual data to back this up, but whenever I buy boxes like the ones you got I pull some GOOD cards, whenever I buy just card boosters I usually pull trash cards
It’s kind of weird that the price of the rarer cards is still so high. As someone who got lost in the throws of nostalgia and probably spent more than they should of, it seemed like the rarer stuff was consistently not that rare
Yesterday I went to target because I had a gift card and there were actually some Pokémon cards. There were only the one pack ones, but I was still surprised.
"The pen is mightier than the sword" someone said, but they failed to take into account that Pokémon cards beat them both.
They're both. Pen to create, sword to open
I'M VERY ANGRY ABOUT THE POKEMON CARD SCALPING. I WANT TO BUY MY CARDS ;_;
Honorable mention goes to the McDonald card promos where people where scalping Happy Meals
They literally bought so much food for the cards and it went straight to the trash
@@MASTEROFEVIL no how am I supposed to pit on weight for my winter hibernation?!

It’s so crazy how overpriced things are these days. Idk why but it made me so happy watching you open packs 😭

I really like the hair on your cartoon avatar. Eevee mixed with regular hair very cool
“That is my first shiny”

Id be a millionaire if I still had every 1st ed base set pack i opened when the game first released. I easily went through a few boxes. I'm pretty sure I was one of the only ones in our small town that bought the packs from our local video store.
I'd also be a millionaire if people I played as a kid kept their cards in decent condition. We turned prize cards into an ante rule. You take the opponent's prize cards instead.
Yeah, another Evie video, i'm glad that that i didn't sell my Diancie card
I went to target and saw those super expensive charizard boxes and guess what? they had alarms on them so that if people tried leaving and not paying, it'd make a VERY loud alarm. I can see why
Thank god someone finally made a video on this...this has been pissing me off over the last year or two. Scalpers and Logan Paul ruin everything. Wanna know how bad it's been for me?
Shining Fates(Set she opens in the video and one of the newest)
I had been hype for this set since last year and was DYING to collect some of them(Specifically the shiny Snom, which i caved and just bought because i was done with this BS)
EVER SINCE THE DAMN SET CAME OUT I HAVE NOT SEEN A SINGLE HINT OF ANY UNTIL LAST FRIDAY! Where i found those 16$ tins with two packs each. I bought three and left two on the shelf. This Anniversary for Pokemon has been terrible thanks to the wrong people realizing that Pokemon shit is valuable. I cannot afford to pay hundreds of dollars for card packs, i just can't.
I don't collect Pokemon card anymore, long time ago they got stolen, which just killed my enjoyment for collecting and I just stopped. I only play Pokemon games now. That really sucks. I know how it feels to buy something just to enjoy it but then other people ruin it. Scalpers are the worst, scalpers have been ruining everything in the pandemic... I'm glad you got your packs.
Thank goodness Pokèmon video games will never be this affected.
Sadly cards have.
How dare Logan Paul get into Pokemon cards what a travesty
5:56 OMG I literally have the exact same box and I am also keeping it sealing hoping it will go way up in value later on.
Gonna have to sell before pandemic ends or price will drop hard
@@xft9285 don't see how, the scalpers just sit on markets , they're that high not to sell them, but to hold them until they move more in that direction, the pandemic ending won't make old sets any less sat on
At 3:35 I have the exact same pikachu that I got from McDonald’s
i got one of those back in 2016. i distinctly remember opening it on my grandparents dining room table and getting the fullart gardevoir ex, along with the super cool fullart sylveon ex with the charms on the side. sucksthat greedy people have turned our childhoods into something to make a quick buck off of.
Anyone gonna talk about the Pokebeach leak, with the EXODIA 4 piece Pokemon cards?
Greninja gets 4 attacks and 3 abilities. INSANITY!!!
“It doesn’t have any eyes.”
-The most funniest sentence I have heard this year, for some reason. 😂
Maybe everyone is after the fresh card smell that Pokémon cards have.
Pokémon card scented candles
I remember the first booster i opened, ive got a M mewtwo Ex. I then traded it, probably for a Noivern Ex... I still regret it, well, at least i have my Darkrai GX rainbow which i dont know its rare, but i like it.
As a magic collector I felt this in my soul
7:04 this part made me wanna cry.
