Background orbit music is track #41 in the D1 OST called Passage btw :)
Appreciate it
Like it how you just marked the infamous intro
We only came for one strike because Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let get to taking out their command one by one. Valus Ta'aurac. From what I can gather, he commands the Seige Dancer from an Imperial Land Tank just outside Rubicon. He well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defences, take this beast out and break their grip on Freehold.
1:43 ships regulus class 77
Gotta love how you italicize Cerberus Vae III, because whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.
1:17 The only one that matters
How did this one become "the" meme but the other ones, no one mentions xD
@@ElegantSkies I don't get it either tbh... The dialogue for Winters Run is always and has always been my favorite
Back in the day, people would get this strike back-to-back. Even up to 10 times. You know, that's pretty outrageous considering the fact that whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.
Clara O'Kay I think the guy above me is right. I think rng favoured that strike in every way.
Taniks has no house...
I love all the strike dialogue in destiny 1. Really adds to the story and motivation of what we're doing. But whats really cool is whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars.
Me too they should of kept this is for destiny 2
SON OF A B-!
HA!!!
One of my favorites is Cayde's from Winter's Run.
"Those Fallen in the Ishtar Sink on Venus... story is they raided the Prison of Elders in the Reef, got an Archon Priest. The Queen's bounty is high so we know it's powerful. We need to hunt this thing down before they fully restore its soul."
This is perfect
There was story in destiny 1?
"Send their souls screaming back to hell" was the most raw fucking line I ever heard as a kid when I first played D1
WHETHER WE WANTED IT OR NOT
WE STEPPED INTO WAR WITH THE CABAL ON MARS
SO LET'S GET TO TAKING OUT THEIR COMMAND ONE BY ONE
@Therapist Flim Flam FROM WHAT I CAN GATHER
FROM AN IMPERIAL LAND TANK OUTSIDE OF RUBICON.
HE’S WELL PROTECTED
1:17
2:36
3:32
I preferred D1’s Cayde so much more! He was way more mature about his jokes and weren’t in ur face and wasn’t trying to be.
3:55
Gabriel Lopez Alak Hul remains one of my favorite strikes.
@@GabrielLopez-ly2vx My favourite strike! God I miss it...
I remember all of these lines all too well.
Taniks has no House. He kneels before no banner, owes allegiance to no Kell. He is a murderer, and very good at what he does. I have been tracking him since we stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can remember that Centurion Oryx took right after you landed on the Dreadnaught, then the Centurion and the taken Ogre tried to stop you from killing the King? Heh... didn't work. So the Centurion's bond brothers are pretty angry they lost their commander. They're leading a team of Hive that strain against the Will of Oryx. Alak-Hul, the Darkblade is one such. Long ago he fomented rebellion against the King, and attempted to take his mantle. Alak-Hul failed, and now awaits the 'mercy' of the Hive. Given the chance, the Fallen will continue to claw at the walls of our City unless we strike them down. Beneath the ruins of the Cosmodrome, in the shadow of an old colony ship, we've located the House of Devils' lair and the High Servitor feeding them their strength. We must destroy this machine god and send their souls screaming back to hell.
I relived every single sentence
I love you
We killed him again
When all the enemies gang up on you
Meanwhile in D2: Operation "Babydog"
I actually like that line, but I wish they didn’t get rid of the pre-drop dialogue
@@khostie It's because of lower loading times. It would have been annoying to always wait 30 seconds for a map that loads in less than 10 on some rigs and consoles. Dialogue *after* it loads makes more sense.
I mainly liked it because it let me know what strike I was loading in to so I could equip the best weapons while in transmat for the strike, but yeah in D2 that matters a lot less in the normal strikes
@@khostie they stopped doing that because they realised that it no longer takes upwards of two minutes to load.
7:24 the timing is perfect.
Man, this is a serious nostalgia trip. Strikes in this game were something I could do for hours.
Strikes actually had a soul in this game whereas in D2 they are completely devoid of any heart or love and feel hollow and only there as busywork
@@djr3385 D2 is a much better game now than what it was
@@BradleyMUFC6339 ehhh its still trash lol
@@Killercoldice22 but it's not an entire landfill anymore.
@@ZacGames3 As a Destiny 1 super fan, I’ve come back to D2 multiple times but it just does not grip me like the first game did. It’s not the same
Well, I love all of these because whether we wanted it or not, taniks had no house, he kneels before no banner, owes allegiance to no kell. He is a murderer, and very good at what he does. I have been tracking him since wolves broke their chains, yes? Now taniks works for wolf pack, but not for long.
Well now it's "Taniks has no legs."

Also has anyone noticed that the time stamp is Master Chief’s service number?
Probably
Yea
Cool.
You’re all here for 1:17 oh and 2:36
only here for variks
something about destiny 1 just hit different, it all felt so whimsical
Yeah there was so much mystery and intrigue.
valus ta'arc>calus
I’m not disagreeing with both of you guys on that but you gotta calus’s voice is like the best thing ever. Scratch that valus ta’arc has a way with slurred grunts
@@loganh4642 calus' voice is bliss for my ears.
Valus ta'arc>Ghaul
Little you knew that Bracus Zavala almost was a thing.
@@totalorganfailuregaming3252 True this.
I miss the seriousness and militarized type of style d1 has.
Cayde sounds so different compared to Year 2’s version of him and beyond.
Well technically that’s cuz it’s a different voice actor. But only for that mission since he’s not in anything else
Destiny 1 had Nathan Fillion voice Cayde (Buck from Halo 3: ODST) and Forsaken had Nolan North voice him (every game ever made)
@@kyrusxi how did i not notice this 😳
“Vanguard Scouts report she’s undone her death”
“Undone her death? You make it sound like she’s pulled her knitting apart”
This singlehandedly, became my favourite quote
Yeah, just Cayde's delivery of his retort to Ikora is great, especially since it DOES seem a bit farfetched, but yet given the power Hive Wizards have, it is very legit.
We kept f*cking stepping into a war with the Cabal on Mars.
It’s just dialogues but it’s really well done in d1.
These small details here and there are missing ind2 and that adds up at the end.
Just so you know, there were multiple intro’s for the Fallen S.A.B.E.R. strike.
What I really liked about these intros even though I never played D1, is that Taniks has no house. He kneels before no banner; owes allegiance to no Kell. He is a murderer, and very good at what he does.
I miss these intros. They really got your mind into the mission ahead.
We need shiro-4 as a vanguard like foreals!
He, Crow or Shaw would be good candidates to succeed Cayde as the Hunter Vanguard.
You can tell that the voice actors did a great job reading these dialogue lines. Makes me wish Destiny 2 had these for the start of Strikes still.
"Taniks has no House. He kneels before no banner, owes allegiance to no Kell. He is a murderer, and very good at what he does. I have been tracking him since Wolves broke their chains, yes? Now Taniks works for Wolf Pack...but not for long."
Real talk - this sent shivers down my back when I first watched this video. A flood of nostalgic memories came back to me, particularly from the dialogue in the first handful of strikes. I forgot just how much these intros added to the strikes in D1 and I still believe that D2 missed a trick by not having them also. Great upload, thank you!
Whether you have shivers or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars.
Ah, the good ol' days. I missed hunting for the perfect god roll for every weapon type for every niche role. Good times.
I love it how when cayde breefs the fireteam we can truely see his cunning along with his smarts. Not just him being a one tone funny bone.
Salute for cayde then just- WHETHER WE WANTED IT OR NOT! WE'VE STEPPED INTO A WAR WITH THE CABAL ON MARS!- Back to salute for cayde
Old D1 just had a vibe
Man, in retrospect the intensity of what Zavala says before the Devils Lair strike makes a *lot* more sense now.
Wow!!! So many years and Tanniks still has no house??? 😂😂
No banner either, or Kell.
Child Of God yeah bcuz he is a murderer
@@Radiant450 And very good at what he does.
Still no house
No legs
Ah, the loading screen ambient music... so nostalgic and relaxing
rest in peace lance
Man Destiny had such an amazing vibe to it. D2 can't even compare.
Aka the audio played while switching out weapons, armor, and subclasses.
The variks dialogue was my favorite
Dude! I just realized how i love this game so much, so many memories
Serious Cayde is pretty cool. I kinda miss him but I do appreciate the levity he introduced in Year 2.
Given the information that I know about everything from Destiny 2, seeing these strikes put me on one hell of lore trip.
the zavala intros will always be iconic
Sunless Cell is my favorite strike. Especially that sick looking titan helm
I wish D2 strikes would still have this feature. I still think D2 strikes are better.
Good to see Eris back. Time for some mature destiny dialog!
I liked the dialog for both intro and outro of the old strikes it felt almost like each of the characters were narrating like a story of some sort.
I really like how cool the load screen is when your on Saturn's rings.
never thought id come back to something like this for nostalgias sake lol
Hearing the strike intro music again is amazing
Just from the tidbits we’ve gotten… sounds like Cayde’s got his serious face back on for the Final Shape
damn the d1 soundtrack while you were traveling was so good
looking back into D1's Voice Acting, You can Definitely notice the difference nowadays
3:17 If no one understands Rasputin's Russian speech, then he says: " I'm in danger, the systems (which ones, I don't understand) are damaged"
Those fallen from the Ishtar sink on Venus
Memories omg
Not a lot of people notice this, but there’s just one Fallen Strike in D2.
And now there's one and 3/4th. The Glassway is largely a Fallen Strike but the boss is Vex.
The nostalgia is REAL!
I miss the dialogue we get when arriving to missions and strikes
1:18, thank you.
"The Fallen will continue to claw at the walls of our City unless we strike them down. Beneath the ruins of the Cosmodrome, in the shadow of an old colony ship, we've located the House of Devils' lair and the High Servitor feeding them their strength. We must destroy this machine god and send their souls screaming back to hell."
just here to relive the good old days
This nostalgia sure hits hard
i forgot how serious cayde used to be
They all sound relaxed good times
Meanwhile in D2 we get literally a single strike for a major expansion. I forgot how many there were in D1.
And people said there was no story in d1 lol...
Have they made audio books with these guys doing lore for destiny? I would buy that so hard.
1:17 and done.
This is something I really miss in destiny 2
I miss these in d2 honestly
1:17 IT’S THE FUNNY
I'm so glad they made Cayde the comic relief in Taken King. Hearing back the old intros its extremely wierd hearing Cayde speak like Zavala and Ikora.
the nostalgia is killing me😢☹️
why does ikora sound like she’s saying Benis instead of venus at 0:49
Benis
Benis

My man Taniks is a follower of Eramis now...
Those fallen from the Ishtar sink on Venus….
Not a single dislike, as it should be 🙏🏿
Tempting
With some of these returning in Beyond Light, the dialogue better return with them!
Just realized how much Shiro-4 sounds almost exactly like Shaw Han

1:17 whether we wanted it or not meme tiktok
Man I remember memorizing all these intros knowing which strike it was just from the first few words. I hated hearing omnigul.
They should bring strike intros back in d2, these sound cool
2:21 ඞ
Boy wouldn’t be great to hear strike dialogue again? I mean D2 failed to that 3 years in a row but with beyond light, we might get to hear some cheeky dialogue, yes?
Destiny 2 is a great game but i wish it had more of that militaristic and serious tone D1 had. With Witch Queen we got it back some and it seems they're going more in that direction. I just hope they start showing that in their armor again.
destiny 1 has more strikes in its game than d2...and still kept more soul.
Cerberus Bae is the best strike in all of Destiny.
Did anyone made a video about the music that plays on planet entry (the music after they stop talking) ?

Can't remember did they not have dialogue for the Taken Archon Priest strike
I think the taken were only a possible variant of the enemies that showed up, it wasn't a whole different strike, so I'm pretty sure the dialogue ended up being the same as the normal version(0:59)
