what i've noticed is that train enthusiasts think about the trains *and* the infrastructure they travel on. there's lots of videos on train/metro line construction and the effects on passenger dynamics and city planning. meanwhile car enthusiasts are egocentric noise pollution generators who only care about their vehicle and don't care about the infrastructure that enables their passion while ruining neighborhoods

Variante A: dich stört, dass im Video Autofans kritisiert werden
Variante B: dich stört, vorausgesetzt, dass du einschätzt auf Grundlage meines Kommentars, ich wäre potenziell auch aus der Kategorie der "Autofans", mit meinem "Manche nehmen es zu ernst", würde ich meinen, dass Autos nicht so schlecht für die Umwelt und so sind.

I dunno about this. Cars are cool and trains are cool too. It's just that people can actually own cars and not trains. So mostly they don't care about trains because there's no incentive to know.
You don't need to scrape together huge amounts of money to buy a train and only see it lose value and cost every day to maintain and operate as long as you own it.
Whenever I consider buying a car I come to the conclusion that it's just not worth the trouble.

@@BanterEdits Riding a super cool car requires you either to have a lot of superfluous money to buy it or rent it which is still costly. Riding a super cool train is for everyone (basically; I know there are luxury trains too where you pay for the experience of being part of it).
@@uncinarynin Yeah but you don't own the train. You can't modify, work on or upgrade a train, you can't customize a train to your liking.
Cars, for enthusiasts, are expressions of themselves, their hobby and a source of enjoyment.
You don't intrinsically get that with trains. I think an appreciation of trains generally stems from an admiration of technology and society and the benefits it brings us. To like cars, you don't need much more than to like its characteristics in itself, which are very obvious and appealing to the average guy.
I'm a shareholder in GATX, AvesOne, Toshiba, Hitachi, Mitsui (Because MRCE), Siemens, Stadler and Alstom, was in VTG too before it got taken private, so I'm always happy to see my money on the tracks, even if its just a tiny, almost uncountable amount :)

flying cars are a science fiction concept that just won't die. people said we will "soon" travel with flying cars for as long as cars and helicopters have existed, and by people i mean shallow tech enthusiasts and clickbait news articles that sometimes regrettably pop up on decent mainstream news sites. none of them ever think about the consequences of widespread flying cars, like noise pollution, air traffic control, accidents, etc
Flying cars are an easy way of stealing money from unrealistically thinking investors

Mmh der Sinn ist, dass ich mich frage, warum Interesse für Autos gesellschaftlich verankert ist und Interesse für Öffentlichen Personenverkehr als speziell wahrgenommen wird, obwohl es im Grunde genommen eigentlich sehr ähnliche Interessen sind (völlig unabhängig von irgendwelchen rationalen Überlegungen wie Umwelt und Sicherheit).
@@Traines Wäre es nicht verständlicher 3 Minuten darüber zu reden, als ne 2 Minuten Bilder-Compilation mit etwas reißerischren Überschriften zu machen?
Zumindest würde ich es eher so machen. Ist prinzipiell natürlich deine Sache.

Das Video ist doch höchst neutral o_O Ok ich gebe zu, ich konnte mich nicht ganz zurückhalten. Aber einen dreiminütigen Podcast dazu hätte ich persönlich weniger witzig gefunden. Aber es ist ja gut, wenn ihr Sachlichkeit der Polemik vorzieht. Danke für euer Feedback jedenfalls!
@@Traines Die Antwort ist einfach: Jahrzehntelanger Einfluss durch eine übermächtige Lobby, Werbekampagnen für Verbraucher u.a. durch suggerierten Individualismus und Freiheit und nicht zuletzt aufgrund erstgenannter Lobby eine desaströse Verkehrspolitik der letzten >50 Jahre.
I loved the past videos by you @Traines. I enjoyed the engineering and infratructural parts of them. But i dont see the point of this video. Why do you defame other people for their interests, likings and hobbys? This doesnt get you anywhere, its just toxic. Please stay as professional as you were in your past videos.

Sorry to disappoint you. I think I have already made it more neutral than it could have been, but I admit that I'm quite radicalized when it comes to cars. But don't worry, the next videos will be more serious again.

Warum 3 Ausrufezeichen? Eins hätt' doch auch gereicht. Und was soll das mit auf die Reihe kriegen? Er ist doch auch nur ein Mensch, der Videos auf einem Kanal hochstellt. Es ist ja nicht direkt seine Aufgabe, deine Ansprüche zu befriedigen.
Mmh schade, dass es dir nicht gefällt. Aber tatsächlich ist der Grund dafür, dass dieses Video jetzt kommt, dass das Video, an dem ich in den letzten Monaten gearbeitet habe, so aufwändig ist, dass es immer noch nicht fertig ist... Wobei dir das, wenn es mal fertig ist, vielleicht auch nicht besser gefallen wird...

Es ist nur, dass die Videos über Stuttgart 21 oder die ICE Linien oder Verfrühung durch Verspätung sehr interessant waren und auch informativ. Und jetzt kam dieses Video, was überhaupt nicht in die Reihe passt und für mich totaler Unsinn ist.
