I feel some of these pay homage to other titles, some are a bit of a stretch, and others might be closer to a rip. Tho I wonder if the point of Astro Bot was to take elements from others games to make players feel that old nostalgic itch. Cool video tho!
People are surprised that Team Asobi copied a lot of Nintendo's homework!? From the moment I saw this game in action on release, I was like "Didn't Nintendo already do this gimmick?" I'm surprised Nintendo hasn't sued Sony yet! 😅 Though, honestly, Astro Bot still looks like a lot of fun even though the parallels between it and Nintendo's ideas are hard to ignore.
@@SlyShade-1017 first of all you’re not allowed to use that insult and secondly what else are they going to do? 3D platformers are not patented so Sony has every right to make one. Let’s also not forget that if Nintendo would have any basis to sue Sony on the game would have to contain assets from Mario such as the green pipes which none of that is in Astro bot. The game is really designed to show off the capabilities of the PlayStation hardware and its history
@@slapshotjack9806 Almost ALL of the mechanics from the old Nintendo Mario games were copied. It's simple! I'm not saying astro bot IS Mario, I'm saying that it's just like Mario! not in a bad way! Play Mario galaxy, sunshine, odyssey, or 64, and you'll notice how similar astro bot is. Also, I am allowed to use that insult. It's not "nothing like Mario" Thats a dumb statement. Its base foundation is off of 3d Mario games, and if your too blind to see that, then I think you need to get tf off of the comment section.
