    The mono meals sounds basically a diet taking note of the Randle Cycle (though not limited to just the first meal of the day) which suggests eating either a very high fat or a very high carb diet. The high carb diet seemingly though can start causing health problems for many vegans after about 4 to 5 years

      Why?

    • @dennisward43
      @dennisward43 Місяць тому

      @@user-iy8lt2ob5y Because a vegan diet is deficient in some minerals and vitamins and with others soil depletion from monoculture is depleting them more every year. Farmers who rotate crops with animal grazing allow nutrients could be replaced. Most grains grown now (over 80%) are monoculture. Chemical fertilisers are not sufficient and insecticides,etc kill off the good bacteria in the soil.

Yes creating new dishes is fun too , eat then see the result of the " how do l feel eating that " results ! I had read the tibetan story to live happy and it went " eat half - in the sens of eat less , walk twice as much - become more active , and laugh as much as you want - forget drama , have fun with everything you do . All that to say l eat way less than before with 6 hour window for me and l feel way better l feel Lucky, turning 62 next month and l love my life now with à healthy body and l'm à home cook , l save money doing it ! Namaste !

    When he says have your first meal a mono meal breakfast but then shorten your eating window to say 6 hours. Does this mean you could have your breakfast at 1 p.m and last meal at 7p.m? In his book he says you can eat a handful of nuts whilst you are fasting and it will not break your fast, or cups of say tea with unsweetened almond milk. Have I got this right - Anyone?

    What about people who are working manually / physically every day? Would this “mono” & “feeding window” method be suitable for them? It seems difficult. There’s a strong urge to frequently snack when you’re doing hard laborious work.

    Should we have one mono micronutrient meal per day or have three mono micronutrient meals (e.g. one protein meal, one carb meal, and one fat meal)? That would be good to know!

    It's easy for me to go 18 hours without eating but it would be difficult to just eat one type of food at breakfast. Most of the time my breakfast will very with what there is available. Ofcourse I make sure that it is always something that my gut buddies in my microbiome would thrive on but it could be a variation of things. In order for me to simplify my breakfast menu, I would have to make a list of what falls in each category and make some changes. Not going to be that easy but thanks for sharing this information with us.

    You lost me when you said compress "the eating window" to be as short as possible. (6:45). Health teachers get away with too many bold statements because their goal is helping people lose weight, but for a healthy person their hormones will tank.
