How Strong is Ryan Bowen?

- Being one of the few arm wrestlers in the online community who has actually managed to grip up with the GOAT, the legendary, Ryan 'Blue' Bowen, I thought I'd give some thoughts on how strong I think the Australian armwrestler actually is.
Ryan has recently announced his comeback to full-time arm wrestling and perhaps this was the second coming that legends spoke of. Only time will tell.

Would be interesting to see Ryan in the competition format too, not only arm fights. He brings a lot of attention to armwrestling world and is always fun to watch, ambassador of the sport.
Yeah, I pulled him in tournament format back in 2022. He pulled in the AWE2 tournament too recently. It’s just tough for him due to many of the big tournaments being under federations with doping control
Looking forward to see him pulling, I think he’s still inching closer to that world level. His pronation lifts have been improving and really impressive and feel like he might be close to breakthrough in terms of centering around a style that can take him to at least Lachlan’s level.

He wast 90 kg but 95kg
90 was closer to his natural weight, anything over is his PED weight
@@1stcwp there is a difference between maintaining a lower body weight and cutting down from a higher body weight. Ryan cutting down to 90kg would have been weaker than the hypothetical version of Ryan maintaining 90kg

For your first tournament, no need to overthink it. Just focus on being as fresh as possible and enjoy yourself. Stay safe man! Let us know your results
I think ryan should go away from the devon training and go back to the todd training, cause his elbow got insane with that style of trsining
Totally. I think he has stopped the Devon training recently and has been doing more general strength training stuff.
105kg at the world level I think he's knocking on top 20 for sure, maybe even top 15. Right now I'll say he's comparable to a 75kg world level guy like Daniel Procopcuic and Mindaugus. That match against coach ray I wouldn't count that, he was so de-hydrated and out of it.
Yeah, I was being a little conservative with my top 20 estimate because I know there are a lot of other unknown killers out there too
4:25 What if we take into account everyone under 110kg (not just guys who are actually 100-110kg), would he be like top...50-60?
Maybe knocking on the door of top 50, but it's hard to say with so many unknowns

I believe so, but I don’t think Mazahir is able to really develop a good press
If the refs were fair , i dont think the match would have been this close . I saw the matches and it was really unfair.
If he was smart and had endurance then he would have definitely won
I believe that Ryan is a strong puller, but...as you mentioned, when comparing to the top guys...he just is'nt there.
Especially 100 - 110 kg class, So many monster pullers like David Dadikyan, Rino, Irakli, Ongarbaev, Todd, Alizhan, Sandris, John etc.
And even 90-100 kg class is also full of monsters, like
Sasho, Todd, Bacho, Paul, Irakli etc..
So, Gotta work hard Ryan.
Exactly! The list of monsters is so long at that weight category. I believe if Ryan can maintain his strength but go to 85-90 kg class then he probably has a chance to be world level
Considering Lachlan Adair can’t even beat anyone in the Northern Hemisphere, yet he destroys Bowen, I think Bowen’s level must be pretty low
I think Lachlan’s performance against krasi was decent, albeit against a smaller man. At his walkaround weight class however, he’d have a tough time.
Could Ryan beat the BEST like lets say Mindaugas (Takes Ryans hand), Daniel (Ryan cant pin) or Nurdaulet (to fast) 75 - 80 kg guys in WAF on the left and right? I have not seen him even show that level and most of those guys could not compete with someone on the 90kg class like lets say Sasho Andreev. I can see Ryan is in the commends, but lets be clear who you beat is the level you are at, it easy to understand. You are not weak Ryan, no stronger than a lot, but Lachlan is the only world level competitor Australia have. @@EastsideArmWrestling

@@jakobstisen6366 i believe that Ryan at his current size and strength should be able to beat those 75 kg guys. Maybe not super easily, but I think he would be favored.

Top 20 is a complete joke. Dude is top 100 at best in the 100kg category. 100 unkown russians/Ukrainians/khazaks etc that wpuld merk him. Let alone known guys like zurab, sasho, artyem tainov, todd hutchings, krasi, john, oleg, sedis, rino, ivan, ongarbayev, irakli, rustam, i could go on. Literally
The more names get added to the list, the more muddy the waters get
Ryan - mr potato head- Bowen. Just a joke sorry. Agree with your assessment. Some years ago I was curious if he could make it in this sport with his association with John B and others. But it has seemed to just come down to social media - he loses to anyone of any credible level. He may prove me wrong in the end and would be cool if he did but I rather doubt it
Yeah, based on past performances so far, it would behoove oneself to bet the other way when it comes to Mr. Bowen. But he could prove us wrong 🤷♂️
