- Adam Copeland, fka as Edge, headlined Wrestlemania 24 in Orlando, Florida vs. The Undertaker for the WWE World's Heavyweight Championship. Edge spoke with Sam Roberts on the NotSam Wrestling Podcast to discuss his mindset of that day including having to follow Ric Flair's Retirement Match vs Shawn Michaels. Edge's career to this point was being defined if he made the main event of the biggest pro wrestling show of the year.

The undertaker vs edge feud was what made me huge edge fan growing up.
One of my favorite rivalries as a kid I remember I hated edge so much at the time lol was big taker fan
La Familia was one of the greatest factions of all time. Most realistic depiction of a cult in media. Edge made me believe that title meant more than anything. And he would go to any length to keep it. Most underrated feud ever.
Mine was definitely when he was feuding with Kane about lita back in the day. Him going solo was the best thing for his career. Ngl tho when I liked Cena A lot Edge and Randy used to be the bane of my existence 😂 but after awhile I grew to like them as heels
I remember this match was included to watch on Smackdown vs Raw 2009 - used to watch it all time, one of my favourite matches of all time from both Edge and Undertaker's careers
Holy shit, I remember watching it on there too. I miss Smackdown vs Raw series.
@IKnowImGayWhenISayThisBut That was the best era for WWE games in my opinion, 2006-2011 (I didn't like SvR 2009 so much but at least it had Create A Finisher for the first time)
i know we have youtube ubiquitously these days but i do miss when videogames allowed you to unlock videos. Tony Hawk had rad ones

I was thankful enough to see Undertaker vs Edge at the Wrestlemania tour they did after(?). Super cool!

Love edge but I wish he stood in wwe cause I wanted him to be a wwe guy his whole career but i understand why he left hope he can come back
He really doesn't have much to do in WWE anymore. His last year or so there was...just there, he didn't do much.
He has done everything there is to do in WWE. He'll definitely come back in the future for an appearance or two, but he seems to be having a lot fun with his best friend in AEW so good for him.
He left judgment day too soon. Could have had heel Edge vs Cody, Drew, baby face Rollins, a returning Randy, etc...

I still wish Batista was in this match. He just dropped the title and was excluded from all Mania main event plans. He was supposed to be the #2 babyface and was stuck in a midcard match while Cena/HHH/Orton/Taker/Edge all had main event matches.
He was WHC for a WHILE. I never really saw Batista as a mid card after he made the jump. He wasn’t always champion but he was literally always in the running for it or injured and then came back and got right back to it. He’s literally one of fav world heavyweight champions ever.
Batista wasn’t feeling it that time because injuries was the reason why he can’t win world champion and Hollywood was about to be his hobby.
Man Edge really should won the money in the bank at Mania 23.
Both would have been officially undefeated at WrestleMania, which would have made it even bigger.
Edge should've won every MITB hes the only one besides Rollins who knew how to cash in

I remember this match I wasn't looking forward to it and was surprised it main evented then it happened and was 1 of the best matches I had seen I liked it better than flair and Shawn

I feel Edge and Orton shouldn't have been in the MITB match at WrestleMania 23, they were too big of stars to have been in that match. They should've probably faced each other at that WrestleMania in one on one match. Especially, since it'd have been heel vs heel. Probably wasn't more time for them to add another match. If WrestleMania back then had been 2 nights, then, most likely, they would've had a one on one match.
Edge was injured and orton was in trouble and about to be suspended

@@Maxtrash69 I know but still. Dude was trying to be the best heel yet turns it down? Idk maybe it would’ve been bad for him. Felt too late for Brock. Like yes I believe Brock could beat him but what was it like 2015? Idk just felt so late
@@Maxtrash69Brock said no too. That was the only time Mr McMahon won the argument of who’s breaking the streak. Because even before Mr McMahon wanted to break the streak from other guys like randy orton, Batista, edge, triple h, Shawn Michaels and cm punk, but those guys said no. Brock lesnar was the only one that Mr McMahon beat in a argument of beating undertaker streak at wrestlemania.
What a bunch of nerds. As if it’s real fight/match lol.
