I have to do online classes. But it’s not terrible. I just kick the wall every five seconds. And I don’t have the right floor for pointe work.

My teacher is doing live online classes on zoom, it’s really hard to see the screen and tbh I don’t completely know what’s going the entire time😂. Also she has decided that since we don’t have to drive to the studio then that means we should do longer classes.😂✌️

It’s so hard cause I can’t do my best like I can at the studio. Especially bed side im on carpet
Our classes are shorter, but I never know what’s going on. Bonus points putting it on multi view is pointless because I am blind as a bat and am not putting contacts in for an hour long class. Half the time I stop in the middle of the combination (around balance/por de bra) and look around like a fool.

I’m not a fan of online classes. They just seem boring, it’s not the same as real class, (obviously) I don’t feel excited when getting ready.

Yeah, sometimes it's hard to get the combo if the teacher is lagging, but if I didn't get it, I can always ask or turn it on gallery view to try to follow along. ;)

I'm on my school's dance team, but our season was over. We normally start up again in the summer, but I don't have space at home. I tried to do a kick line, but ended up rolling my ankle in my extremely uneven yard. Start of the season's going to be rough. Totally relate😥

my struggle is my best dance space is my bedroom, so upstairs, but then whenever i do jumps (or anything tbh) i have squeaky/noisy floor boards which is driving my family crazy!
She is literally so relatable and you can tell she’s a kind hearted girl who is passionate about Ballet.
That feeling when you have live classes on zoom and to avoid getting spotlighted you make your camera angle terrible so they won't pick you but they do it anyway and then you mess up the combination or don't know it at all so you just stand there while everyone watches you ✌️😘

I have to do zoom classes and the only area in my house that has a good barre and mirror has carpet. I can’t do turns. Also I’m like constantly doing the wrong combinations and messing up because my brain isn’t used to not being in the studio. My teacher have made reminders (aimed at me) that only after knowing the combinations can we improve. It’s also scary that my teacher can see me the entire time but doesn’t correct me often. Also when the music cuts out because of my bad internet and I’m kinda just standing there missing the combination. 😑

I’m a first year en pointe but I’ve been practicing (before quarantine) like A LOT and I’ve gotten ... ok ... but now with quarantine I only have a dancer dot and I usually only practice turns ... so that’s me LaZy 🙃

we have mostly zoom classes with a couple prerecorded ones. i like the zoom ones because it actually forces me to take the class lol. i've discovered that the best surface for pointe in my house is a bathmat so that's fun
I sadly don't have the luxury of being able to skip certain exercises or listen to the combination again because my teachers are doing classes on Zoom and I have one tomorrow for an hour and a half in my no so big living room. Hehe 😁

Um don't be nervous it can be a little nerve racking at times but once you start dancing you will feel Awesome I know this comment or late but how did your class go? I know how you feel I'm going into cicciatti 2 in September I'm nervous 😓 but I have been dancing for nine years and will be with one of my friends happyr

Okay, but is it just me or has some people been THRIVING! Like obviously some aspects of dance have been weaker like leaps but my flexibility has been awesome and my turns have been so much better! So congrats to those of you who have still been working hard!!

I have online clases since I started college years ago, although they’re not compulsory, but now I have music classes online and English classes online too... It’s kinda weird but at least we’re not loosing classes
Some of my teachers just send us videos, but some of them have us do live classes and it’s soooo awkward because some girls dress like it’s actual class while others are still in pajamas😂

I do online ballet classes and it is fine except umm the only place I have space to do it is in the entry way/living area so when I am taking class my family is literally every where looking at me and joking and disconcentrating me (is that even a word) And yeah

Hip hop classes during quarantine just weren’t the same. The directions I faced at home were reversed from at the studio but I had to work with what I had. It was strange going to class and when we walk to our partner it was odd not having them actually there. My recital dances require the class to have everyone there doing it together so doing alone doesn’t have the same effect.
I have to do online class and it's the worst. I usually end up dancing somewhere where the teacher can't see me and pretend that it isn't on purpose.
