I think now I'm gonna list the box tank locomotives down as another one of my favorites types of trains, even if there aren't any of them that had survived long enough to be publicly displayed on preservation at a railway museum. Gee, the U.K. is just riddled with lots and lots of fascinating trains. Oh, I can just picture me watching a super-neat Train Simulator movie that presents the history of how the Island of Sodor came to be, with the first standard gauge railway, the Sodor & Mainland Railway (S&M), expositioned as how events happened to it that made it so ambitious but ill-fated. It would be a fun yet very educated idea for the loyal fanbase of Wilbert Awdry and his family created to cherish for generations of people who will love the lore and legacy of railroading from eons to count.
