  • Wilson's Ultra or Triad are great rackets for beginner tennis players.
Regardless of your swing style, Wilson has a racket built just for you.
If you’re new to my channel, my name is Brody Taylor. I am a current Master Racquet Technician here in the United States and have been working with tennis equipment and gear for the past 7+ years. Now because this is the internet and most people lie about what they have done, here’s my track record you can check if you really want to.
    How I got here….
12 years old: Played tennis for the first time not knowing anything.
14 years old: Started taking tennis a little bit more seriously after not doing anything with it for a year or so. I started playing with my high school’s tennis team after school.
15 years old: Became a freshman in high school and played my first official tennis season on junior varsity and got my first actual racquet besides something that my family bought at Walmart. It was the original Wilson Ultra 100.
16 years old: Sophomore year of high school and my second tennis season. Started on JV and moved up to Varsity 2 Singles half-way through the season. Racquet at this point- Wilson Blade 98S V6. I also started working at the tennis retail store that I currently still work at. Received my varsity letter and most improved player award.
17: years old: Junior year. I stay at 2 singles the entire year and really start testing out different racquets and strings. This was the year our team won sectionals. Now I’ve switched to a Tecnifibre TFight 305 I believe it was.
18 years old: Senior season. Bounced all around the line up and ended at 3 singles to give our team the best chance to win sectionals. While that didn’t happen, I won my conference championship at 3 singles and was the only on my team to win theirs. Played with the original Clash 100 Pro. At the end of year banquet- I received the award for leadership and coaching since I had started to help coach the younger players on the team during practices rather than being in drills. Then the world shuts down since it was 2020.
19 years old: I start college fully online and begin to work full time at the tennis store after they reopen from their initial shut down.
20 years old: Finish college while being President of the Student Government, working full time, and give the commencement speech for my graduation class. Help coach a Wilson tennis camp over the summer at Miami University. I then became certified as a Professional Racquet Advisor (PRA) here in the US. Also begin to learn how to string but it is only here and there.
21 years old: Cutback from the tennis store since I had been there since I was in high school and try something else. I still kept tabs on tennis and new stuff that was coming out though. I couldn’t stay away. I also helped with another Wilson tennis camp at Miami university.
22 years old: Start this UA-cam channel and get back into the tennis store full time. Start doing demo days at local tennis clubs and giving recommendations on racquets, shoes, and strings on the road.
23 years old: Here’s where we currently are. Passed my Master Racquet Technician test to become one of 560 in the world to have this certification. Working full time at the tennis store with this channel on the side and meeting with the major racquet and shoe manufacturers to be kept up to date on what is new with current technologies and products.
So yeah, that’s how I got here. If you have read this far, I hope you enjoyed this behind the scenes look into my life. Tennis has become a big part of my life and after working in the retail store for so long I know that there is a lot of misinformation in the tennis community.
That’s why this channel is here. So we can get rid of the misinformation and get the knowledge from the people who have it to the people who need it.
Thank you for being here and hopefully we will get to play tennis together sometime.
    Take Care,
    Brody

Thank you Brody, ever since I started playing tennis a few months ago I've always watched your videos
I somehow ended up buying a 14 × 21 310g Prince Vortex. Can I ask your opinion on this racquet?

I personally can’t speak much to that racquet since I have not had a chance to hit with it myself but from what I have heard about it, the racquet does very well with generating spin and helping to control pace as well.
I think that if you really enjoy using the racquet then there is nothing wrong with it. If you are finding you want something different though, then what you try would just depend on what you want more help with from the racquet
