- As always, the guys of Alice In Chains have such a humorous side.
you never know whether they're telling you truth or bs, and that's why we love AIC.
Don't forget to sign the Layne Staley petition if you agree that Layne should be honored for his contributions to music!

aww layne seemed so shy :( the way he covers his face when sean does something weird is so cute
"Been wearin the same pare of underwear since 87..damn proud of it." lmao
LMFAO!!
I like Layne's personality & how REAL he was. I wish more people were like that.
I love watching Layne. The man could just sit there and breathe and I'd be content to just watching him.
111FAS crreeepy gay and creepy
Yea, he was so handsome💗
@@imkindofabigdeal2506 How can u even know he/she is gay? 🤦🏻♀️
@@TheStepmonkey that kind of a big deal (not a big deal) was an asshole 5 years ago and still is one today!
@@TheStepmonkey uh huh … we know handsome when we see it. What a shame it is when good talent/people die way before their time. I was obsessed with AIC !!
5:15 Layne thinking "After this interview I'm going to have to tell Jerry I was wrong and we need to get a replacement drummer for Sean." LOL
I listen to this interview twice a day.
They are both so quick-witted. Sean kills me in every interview, I’m always laughing. And i love to heat Layne laugh. How fun they must’ve been to hang out with!
I love it when Layne starts laughing at something stupid they do - it sets off this chain reaction and immediately puts a huge grin on everyone's faces, including mine. gods, they really are a treasure..
@@overmorrow3907 me too!! I love and miss that laugh! He was so carefree and happy. It sickens me what drugs did to him. 🥺
a lot of bands portray angst but there really isn't any sincerity there. It was just an act because that was what was selling at that time. These guys were writing the music that they wanted before anyone knew who the fuck they were. They didn't give a fuck. Obviously they wanted to get big, but they were gona get big playing "their" music regardless of what the A&R guys wanted them to play. They did kind of allow themselves to be steered by the record company towards what the scene demanded but they did it with a self depricating aspect to it and they made fun of themselves for it. There was a sincerity to what they did. I fucking love this band and everything they stood for back in the day. Especially Layne Staley.
False. Artist like Layne and Kurt were really sad people. They could not put themselve out of their misery. No money, no fame, nothing really change the way they felt. It happens to a lot of people. One way to get along with it? Well, you joke about it. About how careless you are when in reality almost everything affects those type of people.

HAHAHAAAA! I love when these two're together on interviews. It gives me a feeling of girth.
AIC were always so goofy, yet 90% of their lyrics were dark inner struggles and addiction.
MysticHydra they were human
Mystic, kind of makes you think why that really is...
I realize Im kinda off topic but does anybody know of a good place to stream newly released movies online ?
@Abraham Mitchell try Flixportal. You can find it by googling =)
@Lee Howard Thank you, signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D Appreciate it!!
Layne's voice in this interviews reminds me of Kurt's voice. Both have really slow speech.
Well, basically eveyone in the band was in heroin and only Layne talked like that.
They both broke their arms..
Yeah, thats what heroin will do to your speech...
Erick heroin bro
They were all doing heroin but Only Layne talked like that. Yeah we all know Layne's drug abuse was bigger and longer.
I believe this was right before the release of "Sap". Sean has a great sense of humor and Layne was just so fucking cool. I miss that era of music. Lets have a drink to the early 90s. Cheers
Layne looks so healthy here!
Call that healthy?
Daniel Park compared to weighing 86 lbs and dead I would say very healthy. Fucking heroine is a scourge.
I can't even wrap my head around how hilarious these guys are. Lol
this guy is a fucking legend for rockers and metalheads..
We miss you Layne
they seemed so fun to be around with!!
That interview was hilarious!
they are so right Music has never been the same since then.
The entire video is them joking around. At least they had a humorous side to them, one of my favorite aspects!! It's a huge relief from how depressing the music could be at times. Best of both worlds sort of deal.
LMAO!! This was hilarious!! I needed this laugh!! Smokin' and whackin' and drinkin', haha. Been wearing the same underwear since 87, LOL. Layne was so funny. Sean is a riot!!
Layne was so beautiful, just like his voice. 😢❤
They're hilarious! Hahahaha. Layne has such a cool speaking voice. It's like his talking voice.
we are the worst smelling band. AWESOME!
4:59 “demons.. uuuuuuuh uuuuu” 😍 love it omg !
''Been wearing the same pair of underwear since 87'.....damn proud of it'' :D
"demons... Uuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhh uohh"
hahaha
Damn. Layne was so hot !!!!!!!!
Sure was
@vTHExUNKNOWENv
how the fuck is admiring somebody's attractiveness disrespectful to you? what the fuck? are you that fucking ugly, pig?
@@God-mb8wi It's really disrespectful man
That voice made him SAF!!!
vTHExUNKNOWENv how the fuck is that disrespectful? he was beautiful and he was hot wtf is wrong with that? we’re admiring his beauty how tf is that disrespectful
Even though Layne dissed hair bands in this interview, during the Facelift tour AIC actually toured with a few hair bands, in fact there is even a 1990 photo on the internet of AIC sharing the stage with Poison.
***** That's what I thought too. And I believe that was their first big tour, opening for Poison. That was a big fucking deal. In one of the interviews I've watched, Layne straight up says "Yeah we're definitely a hair band" but who knows, he said a lot of crazy shit haha
Layne started in a hair band called Sleze, something made him get over that genre. I just think he ended up fortunate to meet Jerry, a force far greater than the hair band sound Layne was deep within for years.
@@ReidGarwin like most "grunge" bands at the time, they wanted to be more than just a hair metal band being superficial and whatnot, and evolve into the darker more brooding completely original AIC we all have grown to love.
so funny...I love Layne voice
Woe. Layne so healthy here. Love and miss him so much. Rip.
Aic music helps release my demons. thanks you AIC for good Rock N Roll music
they make me feel okay about wearing that same pair of jeans all the time
Sean is the wild, colorful guy and Layne is the straight man.
@Brandovibe ~ i hadn't until just now. so that's the dude Staley was referring too, eh. never knew that. thanks for the laugh tonight...well needed! \m/\m/
Man, Laney was funny! R.I.P!!!
I'm wondering had he left the music industry sooner, would he still be alive today. I mean I read how Susan Silver told his mom they can't just stop touring and replace AIC with a different frontman because Layne is AIC. This happened when Layne was trying to kick the habit and it makes me wonder how those people around him (even friends who claim to care about him) contributed to his addiction and demise.
ALWAYS THINK OF THIS myself thanks for sharing
I believe drugs were going to be Layne's ultimate downfall no matter what. However, being a world famous rock god makes the dope more accessible, of course. Like he said in Junkhead-- "What's my drug of choice? Well, what've u got? I don't go broke, and I do it a lot." Also, the passing of Demri, the love of his life, sapped Layne of much of his remaining will to live. He wasn't ever the same after her death, though running into him on Broadway (in Seattle), he at least attempted to smile when fans approached. Well, from what I saw. I believe he just gave up finally...as sick as he was, where's the will to live? Poor, poor, tortured Layne...God, I love that man still...
Lenny Carter As a recovering addict I doubt it; addiction is addiction...Maybe it was a trigger but I think it was the loss of his late girlfriend that passed away when he was in rehab that was the trigger
Layne'z Chainz Amen! I could not agree more
Lenny Carter exactly. gee wonder why Layne did so much heroin !!??? If Susan wouldnt have been so greedy and money hungry maybe Layne would have gotten help and would still be here. Susan should have told Layne... Get some help..work on you and when you are ready get back with the guys... OH NO... Susan was all about make another record Layne I need more money !!! It's the truth If Layne didn't sing AIC would have sold NOTHING !!! RIP LAYNE. SO SAD.
Whackin and drinkin and smokin and whackin. That sir is the life
Layne era un hombre tan hermoso y talentoso, aun no encuentro el por que de su partida !
sean’s humor is fucking awesome!!
Sean Kinney is funny.
He is clearly a cool and genuine dude
Sean "slaffter"!

"The Guamese love us" 😄 🤣
Layne gets a bit embarrassed. Lol drinking and wacking and wacking and drinking and smoking and wacking. Hahaha. Poor Layne. Sean is a fucking riot. Lol.

Layne is most good looking here in my opinion! Long beautiful hair, healthy, glowing skin, chill aura..
Gisselle S well aware of who Layne is. He had long hair for a lot of his musical career. They all did

"SEAN!!!!!!!.........metal." Haha
Hmmmm Layne said they wont play with Trixter, Nelson, Slaughter, and King of The Hill. This video has 4 dislikes. I smell a conspiracy.
GUAM?!? Both so cute here. Layne is so pretty and healthy looking, was in his prime. Sean, funny (and naughty) as ever. "SLAFFTER?" Hilarious! 🤪💔❤🎤🥁
@thundergrundle89 Seriously! How can people NOT like these guys?? I think you are on to something!!
"just drinkin' and whackin and smokin' and drinkin' and whackin'"
xD
@adlange872 Based on Laynes hair.... I'm going to say sometime in early-mid 1992. But you can always just look up their tour dates and find out when they were in Guam... lol
god damn, mike starr(RIP), looks so young...
Layne’s laugh at 5:15 so cute
Ahh I love these guys :D haha
@gothicaloticaxx
You are referring to the original "We Die Young" video...done by The Art Institute of Ft Lauderdale, FL!
I'll have it upload here & on facebook in just a few minutes for ya!

I miss you Layne and I never considered y’all grunge. I don’t like grunge but metal I love Metal!!!!!
@MrToddytod lol....i cant believe you said that, but how funny!
a fan has to understand the humor of these guys to get it, eh?
\m/\m/
Hope so.
Thanks for reminding me, I'll do that now! LOL
just a bunch of boys having good old fashioned American fun!
@wickedlala420 yeah, it was before their interview. literally the 1st second of this video. layne is wearing a red vest.

What the hell were they doing in Guam, lol
takin a break i guess
Yeah such a random place
Drugs are cheaper there
He was mimicing the church lady from saturday nite live
I saw them about 7 or 8 yrs ago with their new singer. The were very good and entertaining but, I have a feeling they would have been better with Layne Staley. The original.
Sean is the best
@gothicaloticaxx Was it a part of this video before the interview with Layne/Sean? More hints to which video you mean, and i'll look and see if i have it for you :P

I wonder what bands had to buy their way on a tour?
