Gatorade vs Natural Fruit Juice

  • Here are nature’s Gatorades…
    Watermelon, orange, pineapple juice, and coconut water are nature’s Gatorades…
    Fruit juice is rich in many bioavailable minerals like potassium and magnesium and naturally occurring sugars…
    Ditch the chemicals, processed sugar, and synthetic ingredients found in regular Gatorade…
    Fruit juice is one of the best ways to hydrate because of all the naturally occurring electrolytes essential for optimal hydration…
    While you may be worried about the insulin spike from the sugars found in fruits, insulin spikes are very important for humans as they also help you retain the minerals from the fruit juice…
    ‌In fact, there are many interventional trials in humans showing amazing benefits from drinking fruit juice…
    ‌Fruit juice has been shown in research trials to lower inflammation, reduce LDL oxidation, improve endothelial functions, attenuate postprandial hyperglycemia, and lower oxidative stress…
    ‌In this video, I am going to show you how I made these and explain the benefits of each fruit juice…
    ‌I believe that adding the least toxic forms of carbohydrates to my diet, like fruit and honey, was the final piece of the equation for me…
    ‌It's always meat / organs / fruit / honey / raw dairy. This is an ANIMAL-BASED diet, and I believe this is the most optimal diet for humans on the planet...
    ‌Check out my ANIMAL-BASED CALCULATOR here: AB Guide | Paul Saladino MD

    For anyone with doubts on this type of diet, I was on Omeprazole for over 10 years, never questioned it just took one a day and could eat whatever whenever for the most part no issues. I miss one day, just ONE and i paid greatly, horrible heart/stomach burning and would take 2 maybe 3 days to subside. I recently (about 3 weeks) had enough once I heard they are linking weak bones, alzheimers, dementia, osteoporosis and other horrible side effects from taking PPI's ... I got on strict carnivore almost 14 days and stopped taking my medicine. I went through almost sleepless nights just trusting the process, burning, acid in my throat at night just awful and about day 8 it was getting better by day 12 i hardly noticed any symptoms, here it is day 22 i believe and im 90% better then i was 22 days ago. Great stuff!! Keep it up man! Im gonna try your supplements soon!

      How did you do it? Meat gives me horrible reflux

    • @Ruktiet
      @Ruktiet 4 місяці тому

      Your meat is too fatty if you get too much reflux from it. Your HCl secretion and bile production/secretion might also be suboptimal. Are you possibly not relaxed when eating? Do you have a lot of stress generally? Try chewing your food more, eat slower, make sure you have enough zinc and iron (which you get plenty of on a meat based diet), choline and thiamine and see if correcting any of these things helps with digestion of meat. Usually meat is ocnsidered very easy to digest, and problems in digestion are often due to inadequate protein breakdown due to a lack of pepsin activation due to a lack of acid in the stomach. Also, the saturated fat slows down peristalsis.

    I love so much what you’re doing and how you’re getting the message out about whole, real foods!! In my mind doctors like you are true heroes that are actually helping people get off modern medicine hamster wheel and live happy healthy lives. So thank you! I have a question though. I’ve been reading quite a bit lately about the history of our modern fruits and vegetables and so many of them (watermelon, apples, peaches, avocado) are completely different and in most cases unrecognizable from their original wild forms. And of course now they have loads more sugar. I’m wondering how they could actually be a part of an “ancestral appropriate” diet. In my mind we were hunter gatherers, but we would probably eat a few handful of fairly unsweet berries a year and the rest of our diet would be meat, but it’s something that I’m sure you’ve done quite a bit more research on than I have. I was wondering if you could do a video about this? Thank you so much!!

    Not sure if you've done a video looking into nutritional competition of absorption, if that's a term, like calcium taking priority over iron and possibly magnesium as well; furthermore, what potential amount of magnesium in calcium dense foods is absorbed, if at all, or if there's a ratio that enable that like 2:1 or 3:1 for potassium to sodium
    Hard topic as well as it can easily become obsessive to the point of detriment, but for those of us with leaky gut issues it could be livelihood enhancing

    Thanks for sharing these delicious and healthy juices!
    I know my Mom has juiced our home grown green grapes and even some apples.
    When you were juicing the oranges, I remember learning from my Grandpa that much of the nutrition from citrus fruits like oranges, actually came from the white pithy stuff on the inside of the outer colored peel!
    Similarly, I discovered that the white part of the watermelon peel also has nutrients that are beneficial for the body.
    In addition, I appreciate that you mentioned about the importance of the pineapple core because I often chew on it and although I find it delicious, I hadn't realized that this holds potential nutrition too, but I can see how this makes sense, considering other parts of food that we typically don't use, but could. 😊👍

    I was 80 kg, which was not much but my height is 175cm and it is a bit more than my ideal body weight. I was eating fastfood, drinking coke etc. I stopped eating them and replaced processed sugar with fruits. It fixed my sugar cravings and no matter how many I ate, I lost 6 kg within a couple of months. I don't think sugar in fruits aggregates in the liver and cause to weight gain.

    Paul, is there a reason you use a juicer rather than a blender? I know the sugar isn't necessarily an issue, but by using a juicer which gets rid of the pulp/fiber in the fruit would it not be more appropriate to include some of that? Curious on your thoughts!

    • @counterstrike89

      You want to get rid of the fiber sometimes and consume fruit without it, because your gut can only handle so much fiber, eventually it becomes a net negative.

    I like to use Steve Reeves intra-workout drink. It is half a gallon of water, lemon juice, and honey. You get energy from the sugar and electrolytes from the honey and lemon, the carbs from the honey give you a really good pump no matter what. The lemon juice helps to hydrate your body more. plus it detoxifies the body an aids in so many other things I could list. The fruit juice would be like a pre -workout and better yet a CHEAPER one at that. Will definitely look into getting a juicer for myself for orange juice in the mornings with some coffee and whatever else I decide to eat like a nice English breakfast. Also do you have any suggestions as to where I can find trusted Raw milk sellers at all? I might try some once I move out of my parents house in the next 6 months hopefully.

    Would drinking some of these juices be enough for someone who is quite active, or would it still be optimal to use an electrolyte mix LMNT or Relyte? For context, I spend 5 hours per week resistance training, 5+ hours beach volleyball and 2-3 times per wekk 30 min in the sauna. So far, I have been drinking plenty of mineral water - mountain valley and gerolstiener - and orange juice.

      1g of protein per pound of bodyweight, half fat half carbs eating 2 hours after waking up and stop 3 hours before sleep. My main meals are at 8am after workout and 2am and a few snacks.

    • @Orthodox_Methodist
      @Orthodox_Methodist 9 місяців тому

      Carnivore diet with carbs is not carnviore. It is animal-based. I think it's 1.2 - 2g of protein per pound of body weight. You can add to adjust accordingly to your exercise regime. Aim at 1.5 pounds per 100 lbs of your body weight. I think to be keto friendly, it's under 30g of carbs per day, but if you don't care about ketosis. Then ratio protein:fat:carbs to 50:40:10. Skip breakfast and eat bigger lunches and dinners. Some say fruit before bed helps sleep, and others say the opposite. You are gonna have to experiment, brother. Everyone is different. Almost no one talks about dieting according to your genetics and environment. Stick close to your ancestral diet, especially to where you live. Eat local foods that are in season to you.

      Meal timing will probably depend on you... depending on what makes you feel your best, I would eat carbohydrates close to your training session and I would advise you to not train on a full stomach. In regards to your protein intake, eat 1g of protein per pound of your goal bodyweight, so if you are 150 pounds, eat 150g of protein. 1 pound of meat is around 100g of protein

    Thoughts on the organic label from the USDA? Always felt like it was a "better of two evils" type of thing. Some talk about the "clean 10" or "dirty dozen" fruits that benefit from being organic. Not sure whats best as its very dense to read into. All I know is it is immensely more difficult to procure "organic" approved items in my area.

    i love fruit juice, coming from a raw vegan diet back to animal foods, but from my experience, you have to be pretty vigilant when it comes to your teeth, use a straw, rinse with water after , and clean teeth 30 mins after the juice..

      Agreed, but raw vegans are also slowly starving so the tooth issue is more of a problem. Once you're getting bioavailable nutrients daily, and minding your teeth, you're there.
