[Creek Forest] Day 1: Setting up Low Tech Nano Aquarium (No CO2, No Fert, No Filter)

  • Journey of my dirted, low tech, low-maintenance planted nano aquascape; the aquarium light being the only "tech" in this tank. Pretty much a Walstad method tank.
    Apart from the the base layer of garden potting mix, the tank is not regularly fertilised and no water changes are performed - only top ups. It is a slow growing tank and has been mostly algae free after it stabilised.
    Intend to keep only rosette plants so I don't have to prune it often, and for a "vertical" look. The aquarium light is slightly yellow in the spectrum, closer to the sun, which makes the yellow of the shrimp pop in real life.

    You said slow growing plants but you ad moss into it that's fast growing atlest in my case

    you never indicate your tank how many gallon
