The purple and green color on the Dyson DC04 absolute+ looks really nice and I’m disappointed we can’t run the Dyson because of the UK adaptor even though it has a US motor
I picked up a Dyson upright DC04 absolute+ but in grey yellow and purple for a tiny ten quid £10.00p a few days ago off marketplace fb to replace my Dyson cinetic big ball animal DC75 that died from a broken handle as it’s all one piece and apart of the spine for the whole vacuum basically a write off and less then 10 years old bad design flaw! Anyway all this needed was the filters cleaning, but I’ve ordered two new filters for it anyway as they have seen better days and still has all the tools with it I was shocked as 2nd hand most people don’t have them anymore I forgot how good these were it’s a loads better than the newer ones. This Dyson and my Henry cylinder vacuums are not going anywhere now, unless I see one in this colour! or a de Stijl which I loved the look of back in the day but could never afford it though 😂 These older dysons are far more repairable and better than the new ones in my opinion after using a modern day version and an old school one.
Nice to see one of our UK model Dysons has made it over to the US. Just wondering if you couldn't just replace the cable complete from the switch with a spare one you may have from one of your Dysons, and then it would have a US plug. Provided it has had the motor replaced with the 120V version, should run OK. The switch on those is notoriously tricky to remove from its housing though, so dont force it. You need to use a long thin flat bladed tool like a cutlery knife and insert it in the narrow gap between the switch button and the machine's spine, pushing down until you hit the right spot that it allows the button itself to pull upwards out of its housing. Under the button is a screw if I remember rightly which allows the rest of the switch assembly and wiring loom to all pull upwards out of the housing. Been a while since I did this on my own DC04 as I had to replace my own cable due to it being broken on the cable grommet, a common area for failure on early DC04's. Yours is a later model having the vertical grommet. Be very careful with that bin handle, they may well be a bit wider than the DC07, but they are very brittle with age, and you will break or crack it if you are careless or heavy handed with it. Looking forward to seeing it run.

Yes he will.if it's run on our UK mains voltage here in UK (240v) on your US mains voltage (110v) it will not run - or maybe at half power - or it might just blow the motor
Dont you need a step up voltage converter because this machine runs on a higher voltage America's electricals runs on 120v and UK's electricals run on 240v
NOTE: I've since found an adapter. I'll run the machine in the next video!
