Your ferrets are so cute and don't appear to be very destructive. Unlike Loki, our mad ferret who loves to hide in cupboards, behind stud walls and up on top of the wardrobes. Lol

I just want to say thank you, you helped me switch completely out of my ferrets kibble diet and into a complete raw diet. I have seen some major differences in behavior and in their coats! They could’ve never been this great without you! Thank you so much 😊

I am worried about a couple of things with freeroaming our babies, especially the back of the fridge terrifies me as a spot to sneak into as it's really hard to reach without risking seriously hurting them :/ the back of the washing machine is another big one I worry about
All of your ferret vids have inspired me to get one but one thing feed raw I just can cause their can be hidden Diseases and germs 🦠 in the raw food meats idk what dry food I should feed em?
Hi [Mod] the diseases and germs in raw are actually a misconception and the ferrets bacteria in their digestive system are built to protect the ferret from the them. Also freezing the meet before feeding (of course thaw before serving) will kill that stuff off. For Kibble suggestions if you can not feed raw freeze dried raw is the second best option Ziwi peak is a recommend brand for more information watch Pazu and Friends video “what if I can’t feed raw?”
Hi, so my birthday is tomorrow and I was supposed to get a ferret but because of this new virus I have to wait so I decided to do more research while I wait I came across you channel and It gave me more information than any other channel on UA-cam so I just wanna say thank you. I am so late to this comment but, the exact same thing happened to me! My birthday was in March, talk about bad timing. I'm actually planning on getting ferret sometime this month and I have gotten a lot of my research from here as well. I hope your luck has gotten better! ☺
I don’t have ferrets but after watching your channel, it’s clear how much they benefit from the raw diets because you have some of the healthiest looking ferrets I’ve ever seen! Their fur looks so shiny and they look so plump in the best way

I love the apartment setup for you and your ferrets and I love the little beds that they have I have to buy one for mine have a good night
I would word a bit of caution about the salt lamp. It can become very toxic very quick as they may like the taste of it and quickly get sick from to much salt intake.
Chavon Lamus agreed, there have been cases where cats have died after licking salt lamps.

If they could get under the stove and behind the fridge, how would you ferret proof it?
I wish I had a small house or apartment my house is so big and not like most houses it has a balcony in my hall way n spiral steps and that's all open so it would be so dangerous for them to free roam here but I'll be buying my own house and with that house im going to make sure it's suited to free roam..

Hey You know your ferrets best and what they would get into.... the lights and plants scare me a bit.... beware of rubber backed rugs,,,, WOW on raw something my vet said unless you REALLY know what to do not to do unless want the greenies to avoid doing but she does support raw if done right... I do Marshall as she was from Marshall’s but don’t get the petstore level stuff it’s special ordered Marshall’s fresh chicken in pellet form.... Ferret Lax and Ferret Vite... Dog beds are great and cat furniture BUT DO CHECK HEIGHTS they scoot and drop as you know to get back down.... I wash all things bedding etc in scent free detergent.... I am in a bachelor with two cats and a ferret who is six..... I STILL have to ferret proof as Rose sometimes comes up with new things to freak me out.... it is a never ending journey.... BEST OF LUCK😎 But as all ferret moms know they are a lifelong commitment and worth any trouble. Try pads for carriers under beds to make areas homes to prevent pooping.... like you said.... I am taken aback on no cage.... myself my cats would eat her food and water supply plus... I would worry she may get up to something unexpected.... her house is her HOME and a safe place.... she is out when I am home... I get up at night to make sure she has food and or water... or she wakes me.... litter pans with grates and Bounty paper towel works for me over litter.... and I keep the cats box on a trunk.... or she would dig🥺 😝 LOL

My ferrets used to climb a lot. In the closet they would climb the coats, ending up in the pockets. Or jumping to the table from the chairs and then trying to steal things. No cup of tea was safe there. Ferret proofing the apartment really depends on the ferret. It's much easier with boys because they are heavier and usually don't climb as much as girls.
my rich grandparents bought a $7000 leather couch and my ferret got into it 💀 she didn’t do any real damage but still scary

The ones I adopted were never potty trained. I do have it so they will poo on pads most of the time. They have their favorite corners in the house. It is what it is.

(mod) yes, but they may tear them up and the stuff inside could irritate their lungs.
katie kat_Plays (mod) yes this is a great idea but just be aware that ferrets respiratory systems are very very delicate!! make sure your ferret is not chewing or eating the pads! :)

Hello! If you can help me please read. I am saving up and doing research to get 2 ferrets. I will not be able to get them for a few years, but i am doing my research. If i cannot do a raw diet, what is an approved type of kibble? Thank you :)!
Sabrina Nelson Hey there, mod here! The raw diet can be cheaper than the kibble diet in the long run because of the fact of all the emergency pet visits you could avoid from the dangers that come with feeding the kibble diet. Plus these emergency visits or very expensive. All in all, it is much better to just do the raw diet! Please take this into consideration!

This is unrelated to the video but; can you feed raw and kibble at the same time? If not how do i feed them raw/what time of day and how much do i feed them? I really need advice bc i feel like a bad fur mother and is stressed over this. Any advice helps 🙏
Soul_ Star [Mod] It is not advised long term. Feeding kibble in addition to raw basically cancels out any benefits you would be receiving from raw. They also digest differently which can cause upset stomachs. Check out her mentoring program for other raw feeding questions
Can I feed grocery store meats to my farrets?????????
(mod) Yes, I would stick to organic meats. you will most likely need to get organs and heart online or at a butcher because most grocery stores don't sell it.
I'm planning on adopting ferrets soon, and before watching this movie, I was terribly crazy that "Ooh, this is terribly dangerous, I'm sure ferrets will do something with it!" This video was very helpful. Thanks to him, I didn't spend a lot of money on unnecessary home security lol.

That is good to hear! It is probably their musky smell getting all over the place when they jump and run. Do not forget that ferrets thrive in groups! :D
Carlos M yes but my husband brought it and im not really a ferret person , i dont have any idea about ferret when my husband live in other country for a work purposes me and mikmik left alone and before getting mikmik he search and in the searches ferret can be alone and i think thats the misconception of having a ferret ☹️ right now its good cause im always with him but i think when quarantine ends mikmik will be really sad , btw i dont put him in cage he has his own room to play and run and jump and enjoy but yes i think he needs companion .

Omg this is dedication!! I wish I could do this for my ferrets but I have a kid and I’m married wouldn’t work since they have to be supervised but they are out at least 5 hours every day!
I am married with kids as well and what I do is watch them very closely when they first wake up to make sure they use the puppy pads and then after that I just check on them every hour or so! They have free roam of our house except the bedrooms and the bathrooms. My house is toddler proofed which essential is the same for ferret proofing 😂
@@Emily-ol2mk my thing is i live in a duplex and i can’t close off my kitchen that being said they go behind the stove and behind my fridge and it makes me nervous along with the laundry room I can’t close off but they get free roam in my bedroom and bathroom everyday for most of the day it’s way big enough for them!
