Literally this post made me cry… I just lost my father.. it’s drastic. I am still going thru the pain and doubt it would end. Amma left me 15 years ago where I was still young and Appa was ard as a pillar of support.. it’s very true when it’s said we will not know the value while they are around. 100% truth.
The emotions are wild. Depression is real and factual. We are all going to lose our parents one day. It’s either earlier or later. But while they are ard pls pls pls cherish them. We can never ever get anyone who loves us the way they can and protect us like they do.

Very true! I’m sorry you had to deal with such a difficult situation. Time will heal yet the void will remain the same. 🤗 ❤️

Heart touching video. Myself and my husband both of us lost our mother's last year. We miss that unconditional love from them.
Last week we returned back from India to the US. We left void coming back here. No one to tell us to come back to our home.

I feel your pain. We have to find our own support system now.

Thank you for talking about it! It’s one of the issues I always think and can’t get out of it. Many immigrants and people who have to stay far away from parents because of work face it all the time. Their presence is something and it can’t be explained. What you said is true - we miss that unconditional love!!!!! When they are not there it feels empty!

This is a very emotional topic. I lost my dad last year and he was suffering from dementia for 4-5yrs before that. I had lost my mom when I was 19. When my dad fell ill I had to travel frequently to India. Even though we have siblings back in India,it’s heartbreaking that we are not able to be there to take care of them completely. The plight of people like us in this situation is traumatizing, trying to juggle and manage both places and not able to take care of them fully leads to a big guilt trip. However I somehow managed. But loosing both parents sometimes make me feel like I am an orphan though I have a very supporting and happy family. Till date I long that my kids were not able to get to know my parents that much.
Thanks for sharing this topic with your insights. Nice to see you and Vinoth sharing your memories. Cherish your time with your mom and make memories for you and kids.

Beautiful podcast 💕💕 My mom passed away in 2011 and my dad 2 months back . Nothing can replace parents but as you said Iam so glad that we visited India every year , my appa was aware of each and everything going on in my life until a few months back when his memory started fading .. I tell to myself that I should celebrate the beautiful memories they gave us in our childhood and until we got married ❤ they will continue to be with us and guide us and we should give the same to our kids for their lives !

Heart touching topic. Missing mom badly. We feel bad that we missed being with her during her last time. Nothing can cure. I used to talk about her with my daughter to go through it. My mom worried a lot when Sadhanantham and Guna uncle passed away. She mentioned they should've lived for long years for family and kids. Both are active and helpful. You and aunty are strong and spreading positive thoughts. Hugs to you

      🤗 ❤️ Thank you.
Amma is a very strong lady and she raise 3 girls on her own. Lived a very nice life. She took bold decision and that’s an inspiration to us. We must learn to not be a burden to our kids when we are older. Great strength I saw in her. I’m glad we got to spend time with her when she lived in Us.

I really wanted my dad to meet my daughter but couldn’t he died the day i landed in India 😭😭. Every day he used to see her through video call but never saw her directly. Due to covid i couldn’t travel but never expected that I would lose my dad to cancer so soon.
