Fruit for thought: Breaking generational trauma starts from us, dari generasi kita. Kalo kita jadi orang tua ya harus jadi ortu yang "lebih baik" daripada bagaimana ortu kita ke kita dulu pas kita kecil/anak2. Biar segala trauma, mental wound/health problems, sadness & tragedy ini berhenti dan anak kita bakal mau in our life until we're old.

Saat ini sy merawat paman dan bibi saya, serta kedua org tua saya tanpa menikah dan tdk ingin juga. Nah rencana kedepannya emang mo hidup sendiri di rumah dgn dana mandiri atau ke senior house sehingga tdk merepotkan siapapun 😊
Aku sering bgt ke panti jompo.
Dan org2 yg di panti jompo yg biasanya sehat suka tiba2 sakit dan kadang bisa jd sakit serius even kualitas panti jomponya bagus dan mahal. Itu sangat sering.
Dan rata2 alasannya adalah mereka merasa dibuang krn kadang keluarga jarang visit, yg biasanya ktmu tiap hr hr skrg kok cm nemuin seminggu sekali atau sebulan sekali dan kadang cm brapa menit aja, dulu pingin mkn apa kmn sering ditemeni keluarga, skrg ga pernah.
So misal kasih org tua ke panti jompo, harus sering2 dikunjungi, sering diajak jalan2 kaya mkn bareng, piknik kecil dll tau bawa nginep rumah sesekali shg mereka ga merasa ditinggalkan.
I’m a millenial mom living in US but me and my hub said we’re gonna live in senior housing if we’re old and “disable” coz of the circumstances here and knowing that our kids will be “americanize”. But I’ll personally takecare of my mom in house if she’s old and my siblings were agree to take turn. I think this topic is very interesting esp in Indo and needs agreement between both parties (parent-kid) and very subjective on each family choice

Jaman di mana orang sembunyi di dalam kolom "generasi" untuk menormalkan hal2 yg tidak normal, "ya gw kan emg gini, gw generasi x y z blah blah blah" .. ya namanya kebenaran tidak akan lekang jaman, lintas generasi. Jaman berubah, peradaban berubah, tp jangan jd alasan untuk melenceng dari norma yg sudah sejak ribuan tahun ada & berlaku.

I am so confuse ,bukan gimana ini podcast memang harus pake bhs inggris karena kalau gak salah kedua duanya oarng indonesia. Saya heran kenapa tidak bangga dengan budaya n bahasa nya sendiri seperti negara2 di belahan dunia bangga dengan bhs nya sendiri
Its their show, dan mari ubah perspektifnya kalau ga paham bahasa Inggris, yuk mulai pelajari bahasa Inggris. Bukan soal cinta ga cinta bahasa Indonesia, tapi kompetensi dan kemampuan kita terhadap bahasa asing juga harus ditingkatkan…
mungkin boleh aja bikin konten berbahasa inggris. tapi kalo bisa sediain subtitle bahasa indonesianya.. yt luar negri aja bahkan sampai bikin dubbing bahasa indonesia sekarang, agar melebarkan cakupan penontonnya..

It's a good thing. Bikin rakyat Indo belajar bhs Inggris yang emang sangat berguna. Cinta dengan negara sendiri tidak hrs diukur dari bahasa kok. Look, Malaysia, Singapore, mereka rata2 bisa bhs Mandarin, Melayu, English. It's not a bad thing

Eastern culture tuh apa sih, culture indo maksudny? Krn culture di jepang, china, thai, malay aja beda2 semua.
