A more important difference between the regular version and the pro is the threads that receive the extension hose. On the regular, these threads are plastic and very prone to cross threading. On the pro version, these threads are metal. I had the non-pro version and it cross-threaded on me when I needed it most. The non-pro version is a false economy.
I've had a Pocket Drive for the last 4 years. Using the mount, it sits behind the the seat post bottle cage. It's never come loose. It's rarely used and last time the parts screwed apart with difficulty (should probably grease those threads!), but it doesn't show any real signs of wear. Most importantly, it works - can get to over 60 psi with moderate (OK, maybe a little more than moderate) effort. A very minor criticism is that the rubber gaskets can pop off a little easily ; I had to order one as a spare part. Otherwise, I highly recommend it.
I have the standard/non pro version and it works good. I haven’t had issues with valve cores backing out when removing pump hose. I run tubeless at about 72 psi. Gets up to pressure in maybe one minute of fast pumping. Also very easy/comfortable pocket carry.
I have two Lezyne pumps, unfortunetely I spent more on spare parts, than on pumps. One broke immediately just after few weeks and few time usage (with air pressure gauge) Cheaper pum give you the same quality and presssure.
I have same pump and this pump pull out the valve cores. It has done that on multiple types of inner tubes and on two different pumps... The rubber seal inside the hose which seals against valve is way too big and it grab the threads on valve core and it unscrew it.
@@arcticgeneration No it doesn't. Air pressure release valve doesn't help in cases where the rubber seal catches the thread of the valve core. This is a design flaw on Lyzane's part and the only thing that helped me was to gingerly unscrew the pump and pull it away at the same time. And even though this pump is nicely made as are almost all of Lyzane products, it is really uncomfortable to use because of the way the cap which is covering the hose doesn't snap back in the hole left by the hose and that cap is then moving under the palm of the hand when pumping. A much better pump is BBB BMP 48 NanoRoad. It is the same price as Lezyne and is even smaller and much faster and more comfortable to use.
@@mipko hmmm, I don't recognize the problem you describe. At least I haven't any issues with the valve core getting unscrewed in the 5 years I have been using this pump. Fwiw, this is actually my favorite hand pump ever. I guess we have different experiences with this pump 😉
@@arcticgeneration Good for you and I would be perfectly happy with it as well only if I didn't try to inflate my tyre after puncture 4 times and then just gave up and roll home with hose still attached to the valve and secured to spoke with zip tie ;) Based on what I read, it seems like this is issue of manufacturing tolerances on rubber seal... Some of them are perfectly fine and yet others are pulling out valve cores like there is no tomorrow.
FYI, it's easier to connect to the valve if you screw the hose onto the valve and then the pump onto the hose. The Rapha "bag" is called the essential case.

Oh really? Never knew that. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome feedback.

Definitely!

Seems to work ok so far :)
I got the regular version. Bought it for the size. Fits in my tool bottle. Works well.
That’s the plan too!
Is there a gauge to tell what tire pressure you are currently at?
Negative.
Are those spoke wrenches on the star-shaped/crenulated piece at the Schrader end?
More likely valve core wrench I would imagine …. ? Peace ✌️
@@marcdaniels9079 that makes sense, but why have five of them?
I don’t know? I doubt it?
wow size is amazing!
Lol

Remember to use the pressure relief button before unscrewing. That takes care of the potential valve unscrewing problem.
Crazy!

check out the bbb doubleshot - it's a bit heavier though
Will do!
Now try using it 😅
Ok papa.
Americans using anything other than the metric system to measure things. This pump is 3 airpod cases long. 😂 Nice pump.
Hey, in my defence, I’m Canadian 😂
2:34 😂
I also cackled lmao

Awesome! Thanks for the tips!
that's what she said lol
