My meditation journey began 12 years ago at the age of 36. It was sporadic over the years and I always went to it during difficult periods. The past 2 years have evolved to a daily practice and my experience is exactly the way Ekolle is describing it. I cannot imagine what life would be like without meditation.

I really like Eckhart Tolle but I prefer the original videos. It is easier to follow when we allow the silent space between his resonnements to settle. That is half of his teaching. To just be still and listen. Not to him but to the silence.

And there's also other people who even went eckert stops speaking. The words still do not resonate. I have family members that I can use as an example. This is an extraordinary collection and I agree it can be interpreted differently. Sometimes it is jarring for me just the change of tone of voice from one video to the next, and then Evan comes on with his hyper energy, but that's all part of the mindfulness, right?!

I really appreciate Eckharts way of bringing light to the hidden and unconscious silent thoughts and mind mechanism. Truly his genius and sometimes he does it with humor. Such a gift.
I had a stroke and stuff is slowly returning. Last two years was kind of Benjamin Buttoning this whole awakening thing. I had no thought, but also no movement and speech, the e months without being able to recognise objects and no ego etc etc.. and the last 6 months the ego has returned and is getting kore subtle.. but that is a good thing.. the ego is not the enemy!. This month I noticed I had opinions about everything again in the form of unbidden thoughts. But there is more distance to the opinion then there used to be, like it is someone else's, but it is suddenly there. At the same time planning is better, improvisation is better, short term memory is better and the world feels a little more 'real' like a good movie. Now I am wondering if these are related. It has been an incredibly interesting journey into the folds of my/possibly our brain and there is slowly more clarity to talk about it. Tried to make two guided meditations, but something feels of still. Everything I say is true, but it is also the way that I say it. I make'm for me.. because the connection with the silence of no thought cannot 'go away', but it can feel like it does and I want to record it all, so that I can keep find my way through the illusions and still live inside them. Probably not necessary.. but that's the brain for ya .always looking for problems 😅 I am just grateful to live through it. There is literally nothing that is the same as two years ago and I realise not everybody gets this second perspective on life. People like Tolle get it. And I do think it is attaineable for everyone.

Anger is easily recogniseable by the narrowing of focus and a loss of awareness. You get tunnelvision. There is usually s strong fear prompting it.. something that shouldn't happen. Cannot happen. And an attack on the ego somehow. Then the tunnelvision makes you focussed to defend yourself. And it takes about 40 minutes for the tunnelvision to dissapear. Less if you can identify the fear..then you can breathe into the fear and soften it.. embrace yourself in it and the tunnel vision dissapears.. the tunnelvision is usually: someone or something is at fault, wrong, evil.. nobody ever is..
I have felt like this since I was 5 years old. Ironically it was pronounced to me as I was being severely abused- It felt like God’s Holy Spirit was telling me “you are not from here, you are meant for bigger things”

I have felt like this since I was 5 years old. Ironically it was pronounced to me as I was being severely abused- It felt like God’s Holy Spirit was telling me “you are not from here, you are meant for bigger things”
