The 3 levels of listening: internal (thinking about what you're going to say next), focused (active listening), and global (beyond listening, understanding the unspoken parts of the conversation). The third level is worth seeking. It's like "becoming one" in the discussion!! ❤

Yes, my therapist brought this to my attention when he said, " I feel disconnected." His experience of our interaction and my resistance to his experience and our conversation through it helped me to realize that I had totally dissociated from the present moment in which we were both encased.

I know a few people who practice this naturally and are not at all into spirituality or esoteric or anything like that. They really listen, and say things that cut right to the essence and it's so wholesome 😊 they are respectfull, just 'get it' and also are not afraid to say things that need to be heard. Sometimes it can shake and wake up a group conversation thats mostly unconscious. My dad was like that, I loved it. When he passed so many people came, from all walks of life, he really touched them and made them (or their essence perhaps?) feel seen / connected ❤

Dearest Eckhart, thank you for sharing, very true all you said. Important to bring oneself back to center when conversing with others. Today, i am sharing experience that occured central time at 11:00 a.m. Triple alignment occured in space and time, it is amazing gift to humanity from highest consciousness of creator. Pure love and light, this cosmic alignment will affect everyone, feeling of something new and different about self and life over time. It is good and beautiful ❤️😊

So profound. Working on stepping up the listening game. Sometimes what is not said can say more than what is said, so listening beyond the words makes so much sense.

Glad to see this topic and looking forward to watching this episode! I feel like my ability to stay present in conversations has decreased over time and it’s not due to my intention. Basically ... you need to work at raising your conscious awareness of the physical part of you - which is really the other component of what is commonly known as 'mind'. We experience ourselves as 'mind' in a 'body' simply because we pay little attention of the fleshy components of our being. We're largely out of touch with it and therefore unaware of the effect of it in our interactions. But it's all you. Being present in a conversation means staying in touch with your 'physical' being while also marshalling thoughts you can express to someone else. It takes practice.
    Alexander teacher.

Can I ask the E.T video producers to tone down the 'ding' at the beginning of each video? Or even replace it with something more soothing? It's quite ear piercing.....and whenever I fall asleep listening to Eckhart, that ding wakes me up again. Thank you!

Being in total presence during a conversation with people is a necessary skill we must learn because if we are not present we can get lost in thought, confused, and even angry with the situation. I used to find it so difficult to talk to people who were not present whilst speaking because what they were talking about did not make any sense after they finished. Therefore it's very hard to aid or respond to them in any constructive way. I also found in unconscious people that when it's my turn to speak they're not really listening to what I'm saying and are just waiting for me to finish so they can carry on speaking about themselves and their lives again. But thanks to Eckhart I have learned to listen to those kinds of people without being annoyed, judgemental, and more importantly, not correcting them whenever they are wrong. Thanks for teaching me this life skill Eckhart.

TIP: I find it can help greatly if one via wording, points out that ideas are not personal.
For example the statement "Its surprising to hear that you agree with one of my ideas", it implies identification with the ideas that this person presented. Ideas are not personal just because you happen to present the idea today, ideas exist in a space of ideas, they belong to no-one. So instead of asking someone to "defend your viewpoint" (Which implies identification with the idea), instead ask someone for example "What evidence have you found to suggest that THIS IDEA might be true?" (For example the idea of "more collective transport and less cars, would be better"). This wording might cause the human to dis-identify from the idea. And thus have more objectivity and less defensiveness about it. Cause they dont subconsciously believe that they are defending a part of themselves.

This not listening was pointed out to me by family members who were kind enough to point it out ...I wasn't even aware of my inner conversation goings on while they were speaking....WOW ❤
I recommend helping each other out with this because just SAYING: YOU'RE NOT LISTENENING DOESN'T SINK IN ...WE NEED A BIT OF AN EXPLANATION SO WE CAN GRASP THIS PRESCIOUS POSITIVE TRUTH TO HELP US TRULY COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY❤

When two people are present a rational conversation is enjoyed by both parties regardless of whether they agree or disagree with each other. When two egos exchange inflexible conditioned opinions confrontation and bad feeling is inevitable. In the words of of Frankie Goes To Hollywood " when two egos go to war" 🙏🙏🙏🙏

It's easier to practice presence while listening or watching TV or video. It takes more effort to be present while talking. One can start listening to their own voice while talking. It takes time.

Can anyone tell me something? I have been reading The Power of Now for a few days and also practicing the teachings of this book, and something happened to me. Like, for 15 to 20 minutes, I felt like that I have actually accessed or cracked what Eckhart was saying. I was actually living in the present for 15 to 20 minutes. I felt extremely relaxed, and I could hear the silences under the noises. I've never felt like that. It felt very weird, but also very good. But it lasted for only 15 to 20 minutes, and then it went away. And after that, something happened. I was just resting, just lying on my bed. And I had a feeling like vertigo. So, I'm confused. Is it possible that after you feel something like that, like an awakening experience, can your body feel different?

  • @SippinTea111
    @SippinTea111 Місяць тому

I have found some awakened folks appear to use it for the world and some seem to use it for unconditional love. Ie. Not manipulation. Could you explain this? Like the essence of being for love versus labeling witchcraft and hidden things...control...
Also, is telepathy reserved for awakened people? Would love for you to touch on these . Funny, when I asked a question before a video just manifested into my feed with the answer!

Hoarders are a great example of someone that is identifying their egoic self thru objects. Trying to help someone declutter their hoarding situation is such a strange manifestation of the ego. They seem possessed by their mental position in spite of knowing intuitively it doesn’t make any sense. It’s an identity they created that’s attached to things to validate their mantras. Interesting & peculiar how diluted the ego develops 🤨

With respect, Eckhart, you have a blind spot in your understanding of the human condition. There is an enormous splinter in heart of the body-mind of most human beings in the West today - early childhood neglect and its impact on right-brain development, which is the source of the “sense of lack” and “overwhelm” that persist in human beings. I’m not denying that discovering true nature is the eventuality, but not before repairing the right-brain through coregulation with an empathetic other. There’s a reason why non-dual teachings are not gaining traction in the population, because while you are providing some measure of empathetic coregulation for your students, it is inadequate and may be causing as much harm as good. You had a difficult childhood and are using the misinformed concept of a “pain body” to explain away the reality of emotional dysregulation born of right-brain impairment. I suspect most religions, including non-dual teachings, were born out the childhood developmental problems that humans have historically experienced. Now we finally have the science to help guide humanity. We both know that the truth can never be spoken, and that you are driven to attempt to speak it is, ultimately, misguided. The truth is naturally “heard” if the brain is not experiencing the “noise” of a dysregulated brain. Please watch and read all the content of the psychoanalyst Erica Komisar and also the research of Dr. Allan Schore. Love

That's because this topic he's speaking about is not on the subject of healing the, what I call the emotional-body. And, he actually do not have a specific healing process for what he calls, the pain body.
