So I just started your video while I’m working/organizing shipping stuff and before you even said ‘grab yourself a drink’, I called my husband who was on way home and asked him to pick me up a matcha latte😂 Pavlov’s theory at work!!
I love your brand knowledge and vocabulary to describe details of garments- so helpful! Thank you. Also, that bling blazer is amazing! Crazy that it’s a man’s piece. Oh, the tales it could tell. I do not dry clean. Rarely even do it for my own pieces. Give things a delicate wash or steam. I have had far more things damaged at the cleaner’s than by washing. Ordered an at home dry cleaning kit, but haven’t tried it yet.
Isn't it absolutely fabulous?! Like, you KNOW that blazer has been in the presence of some creative genius! You're not wrong on the dry cleaners - I've got one I like out here and trust, and I ONLY go to that one. I did also invest in a professional steamer, so that does a lot of my sanitizing. I've had the at home dry cleaning kits before and been super unhappy with the performance, but that was years ago - maybe I'll try again on something I don't really care about....
I went through a second-hand Akris phase for my personal closet. Found great deals on posh and RR. Got a $1500 leather coat for $125 and flipped for $300. Great brand!
Well, that's an incredible brand to build out your closet with! Gorgeous stuff, right?! I love those more niche luxury brands that don't have the crazy competition that the big names have for personal purchase!
We used to have a $1.99 dry cleaner. But honestly, I've rarely dry-cleaned anything I have re-sold. I have tried the dryer refresh kits with mixed results. And my family has a huge skin cancer history. After the massive blistering Florida summer vacay sunburns and lots of trips to the dermatologist, I'm now pretty careful in the sun though. Sunshine. Is. Life.
See - I don't mess with the 1.99 cleaners - not with something super valuable, but I can be a nerrvous nellie! My dear friend likes to refer to herself as Solar Powered, but here comes pale old me following her with my SPF 50 forcing her to put it on. No regrets! No sunburns on my watch if I can help it!
Thanks for listening!! It totally gives me an excuse to indulge in my curiosity about fabrics, manufacturing, logistics, the business, etc....I'm so happy to share it!
Dry cleaned a men’s wool coat few weeks back. Cost £20! So won’t be doing that again unless absolutely necessary and the item will sell for several hundred.
I rarely find any luxury but I know me and I would be absolutely paranoid bringing it to the dry cleaner. I would run all the possible scenarios on how it could get damaged all night long. .... I remember those playboy bunny stickers for tanning ! I can't complain about the tanning booth . It was great at clearing my complexion at the time.
YES! Totally get that fear. I've got a great cleaner that I've been using for a while that I REALLY like, and I won't venture elsewhere. Interesting! I wonder what it was about the tanning booth that helped clear your complexion! I feel like I remember hearing the same from a few friends of mine... I was just busy slathering on the aloe to soothe my sunburns to register it I guess! 🤣🤣🤣
I do really believe that is a woman’s jacket - the sizing on euro jackets often looks like men’s siding (42, 46, etc), but Ungaro didn’t make flamboyant menswear.
I was right there with you when I found it right up until I saw the tag - it's actually Ungaro Uomo! I just REALLY want to know the guy who bought that jacket initially!
Hmmmm - not as far as I'm aware! I know that the brand stores use fedex labels, but as far as what we normal sellers use, I haven't seen a difference...
Thank you Julia your fab!

18 year old me loved the Playboy bunny sticker when I tanned. So crazy to think how accepted it was
Like, we ALL had it! 🤣🤣🤣

Yeah - dry cleaning coats is super expensive so pick your battles there... a good solid steam can often do most of the work there!!
Nice sales!
Thank you!! I’ll FOREVER think about that blazer!

Quick fyi: Your madewell black pull on pants on posh say size M but are an XL.
Dang it! What in the world?! I thought I had that fixed. Ok - just pulled that down, fixed it, and re-listed it. Thank you SO much for the heads up!
@ very welcome! I wish they were mediums 😭

Hi, do you know if poshmark changed the shipping label?
