Wow, yeah that would be awesome! Maybe I’m just not great at marketing as this is just a part time hobby. Feel free to help spread the word if you like 😎
How much do you recommend? I demo’d it reverting back to zero de-tune and then around the 10-11 o’clock position where I think it sounds best. Any further and it starts to sound a bit odd to my ears.
@@markbooth it really depends. If the detune sounds strange to you then it's probably fine. I will admit it is finicky. Sometimes adding a bit of square wave helps. I also found that too much gain can muddy the Chainsaw.
Very nice jam ❤️ That chainsaw does sound very very tempting to get. I wonder if there’s a dx7 patch that resembles it which could be loaded onto a plaits...
I forgot how much it cost as really seems a lot for something so simple that isn’t even modulatable. It’s a great sound though with the right supporting cast of gear. I’ve not updated my Plaits firmware yet so looking forward to that. Last time I played a DX7 I was 14 at school. The last person to program that same machine was Howard Jones who used it the year before. True story.
If you think about how much 3 quantisers and an arp cost and also factor in the kit needs to make them all play nicely together… not cheap though I know
Me again Mark, Mylar(Alex) calls me the PEST love it ha ha Was looking at Chainsaw, ONA and Pizza VCO still can’t choose which one but Chainsaw has I think read 7 Oscillator sX 3 choices = 21 options
@@martintaylor9205 depends what sound you’re looking for. I love 80s Synth so the Chainsaw works for me. It’s not cheap though and needs plenty of supporting modules
You should have 500k subs

That was ace! Thanks for the cool demo - always learning!

Hi Andy B hope u feeling better, glad your a Mark Booth fan, I think he’s on top notch form with Modular, my scene
Nice listening!!
Awesome track - thanks for sharing! Only one suggestion would be for a little detune on the Chainsaw:)

@@sixdonuts ah interesting as I was driving it a little through the filter. I quite like around 25-30% square wave sound
@@markbooth yeah I almost sold my Chainsaw because it didn't seem to like my System80 860 filter but then I played with it and now its a keeper:)
