Okay everyone who commented "wow you could buy a mansion in the middle of the desert for that much money" please now go watch my video "Why NYC is worth it" after this one :) LINKED IN DESCRIPTION
I have never understood this argument. If you can buy your house in the desert, go ahead but you won’t find a rail, bus network on your doorstep, your daily commute to work being 10 minutes or less going grocery shopping something you can just go out and be back in 5 mins. I live polar opposite, in rural farm land well beyond London where the only reason I’m not in a city is my new job is local. I used to work in a busy town near Oxford where I lived opposite the train station where the fast train could take you into the centre of London, in 40 minutes - no stops - you don’t get that in the desert or where I live now. My sibling lives and works in London and their job takes them to NYC a lot, I always found the convenience and the amount of things to do in both places completely outweighs costs. Love the kitchen and the views!
@@jzeits96 I think a lot of people forget that this isn't ALL the apartments here. Yes, there are bunch of comments on how rent is cheaper in [insert some other city here]. This is a beautiful sunny apartment! I moved to Brooklyn from Paris 2 months ago and never considered Manhattan! Besides washer unit there is on simple factor: Move where your night life is happening/ where your friends hang out - than you gonna save up a lot on Uber every weekend
All of these people saying this apartment is expensive for what it is have never lived in or visited someone who lives in NYC. That apartment is freaking massive, beautiful and luxurious - Bosch washer dryer, brand new kitchen with built in fridge and dishwasher, office space, king-sized bedroom, walk-in closets, huge windows, amazing view.... plus you guys decked that place out. It's sweet. I think it's a great deal :)
If it's a dope location with those amenities...it's probably a good deal. Real estate is pretty insane in Boston too, it's all about the LOCATION, BABY! Cute apartment!
Honestly, Sara’s videos’ editing style just makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. It’s like a nice, warm blanket on a cold, rainy day. That bits of montage at the intro was literally the hot chocolate on that said day. ‘Nuff said.
3800/mo is expensive, but you also have to consider the opportunities for career advancement and success a young person may find in a major market like NYC compared to living in small markets with limited growth. Sure, that 3800/mo could be going towards a monthly mortgage payment for a large home, but then you're limiting yourself professionally. Obviously it depends on what you do and where your line of work is geographically centered, but if you're young w/o kids, and you can afford to do so, I say it's worth it.
Wow, Sara! CHA-CHIIING!! But...I think it's awesome that you are so successful that this is a possibility - so that's inspiring! I LOVE your view, your closets are great and the fact that you have in unit W&D is great too! Love the open kitchen space and especially love your fancy desk chair!! Super happy for you guys!

I"m so happy you got your space with washer/dryer and huge closets! I live in the suburbs and I don't even have walk in closets or a dishwasher. Or all that fantastic light. City apartments here are around the $2000 mark, and we don't have even 25% of the amenities that come with living in NYC. Even though it's pricey, you can't substitute that location for anything else.
Although we all know that amount of money can get you a bigger place in other places, what I take away the most is that I understand how rewarding getting extra space in your house/apartment is. Also, I love the sofa and armchair, as well as the desk (I wish I had one). Everything looks amazing. Keep working hard!

People bringing up "you can get a mansion for that much!" don't seem to value living in a place like NY. The location is what makes this place "worth" the money, and how high that ranks varies on each individual's priority list. Personally, I'd much rather live in a city like NY, London or SF than have a bigger house. I also prefer smaller living spaces, that are easier to clean and where you can express yourself a little more.
Youre a fucking idiot. Express yourself a little more. Lmao. Your youth and the sentiment you exude speaks for itself. There is no real worth living in the area except for the same worth as other high ticket items of no real value, useless exorbitance because you can. It would be better buying a house not too far from the area and commuting to town and save the money that would have been wasted for emergencies of whatever sort and other actual worthwhile needs.
Xxxtenchustealthasasin fuck you. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I think living in NYC is worth the money. Sorry if you can’t afford it 🤷🏼♀️ and if you can’t understand why anyone would want to live there, then no one wants you there anyway.
I just moved in to a rental apartment a few months ago. Since its just rental I can't just put up stuff on the walls as much as I would like. Had some friends over and one of them commented that they never had seen such white walls before lol! Seriously though, that view is amazing! Wouldn't come cheap if you were to buy a apartment or even rent one like Sara's and Johns in a big city in Sweden. Having a apartment like that would be a dream.
As someone new to your channel, I think you guys have a very nice apartment. You got nice taste, furniture is cool, well organized and I like that everything is tidy.

My two semi-detached house is 1 hour out of the capital Kampala and has 2 bathrooms, parking space for two and no city noise. All goes for $150. With $3800 i start an orphanage.
Super cool to see the living space in Manhattan and now Brooklyn. I like the views both in Manhattan and your Brooklyn apartments. The Brooklyn apartment seems like a major upgrade as compared to your Manhattan apartment for space.

Just bought a new construction 3bed 2bath with 600sq roofdeck condo in Chicago and we pay 3,300 a month for our mortgage, Property taxes HOA fees. And utilities... Crazy how expensive NYC is
your place cost R56104,42 a month. which is equivalent to buying a brand new (second hand) car every month. my rent is about R2500.00 a month. from SA BTW
After living in NYC for more than 20 years...Yes i was approaching 3k a month.. I had enough and wanted something else.. Now living in Japan. Came back to Nyc for a visit recently.. No thanks - I love NYC and I am grateful for all it taught me.
Mohammed Al-Qassem I’m moving out there for work for this very reason. Haha I visited Texas last year and it was just an awesome experience. Changed my life forever
Texas is a great place. I've lived here for about 5 years and I don't regret it. Nice people, warmer weather, lots of space. But, I'm one of those who are going in the opposite direction and heading to NYC.
As someone interested in the NYC real estate market, this video gives a lot of insight into the thinking of the people who are willing to pay the very high rent demanded by NYC landlords. It's not only density (2 people per 1-bedroom), but also a willingness to throw caution to the wind, not thinking about the future. With enough people like this involved in the market, it makes it hard for most to stay in NYC and pay a sensible amount of rent or buy at prices supported by these high rents. COVID has changed that, though. This $3,800/month apartment would be 10-15% lower today.
It's not even the high rent why I wouldn't want to live there.. I like the country too much. I like my wide open spaces and mountains. But if you like the big city, do you boo boo.
It's crazy how happy you are with living in such a small place. Here in New Zealand there's no way I could live in an appartment like that. Couldn't not have a backyard. You guys do utilise space so much better than us kiwis though

$45,600/year for that place 😳
I’ve been living in Brooklyn for a year and I love love love it! It’s close to the city without the chaos of being IN the city
Brooklyn looks like a city to me.
Love the editing/effects of this video! Also great apartment!
As someone new to your channel, I think you guys have a very nice apartment. You got nice taste, furniture is cool, well organized and I like that everything is tidy.
Can't wait to do my "$300 House In Tokyo!" video when I move to Japan next month!
Your new york manhattan apartment was freaking amazing
I can’t BELIEVE how EXPENSIVE this is it’s insane
ladygabrielle36 UA-cam pays a lot. Just gotta find something people are interested in, make videos, and get a lot of people to watch them.
3 things I liked best :
1. the amazing view.
2. the closets.
3. the washer and the dryer.
Lol that's definitely a walk-in closet. It's a bit narrow, but looks like it's got a lot of nice storage! Very nice apartment...but DAMN THAT PRICE :O
It's really great that the apartment looks minimal, but it can do all the things that you would like to do normally!
I feel like you move every month 😂
one nice thing about living in a small apartment is when you move you only have to pack up a small apartment.
It’s insane...the view, the washer dryer...kitchenette...good location. Brooklyn is groovy.
Damn I had a house in South Jersey for 2600 a month half acre lot four bedrooms , full finished basement two car garage sunroom family room , 3 1/2 bathbrand new built no wonder everyone Leaving the city.
Sarah : says something great about the place
John: Definitely babe!!
He's PUSS*****FIED!!
Gotta love the "Rhymed with peachy" icon in the corner, seen it for a while. Nice touch ;)
Welcome to Brooklyn! Glad you both have access to all the amenities!
*Is there no Blackmagic Pocket 6k on your shelf because you filmed this video with it?*
Hey DaVinci, you wanna hook a homie up with a Black Magic? I wanna make a movie with a Bigfoot.
That washer and dryer unit was a major trigger for me as I sit here at the laundromat watching this video. Welp, brb gotta go push someone out of the way for a dryer.
$3,800 to live in a Hallway. Gotta love NYC
My two semi-detached house is 1 hour out of the capital Kampala and has 2 bathrooms, parking space for two and no city noise. All goes for $150. With $3800 i start an orphanage.
"chase lounge" haha it's chaise longue, I love how the couch looks!
Super cool to see the living space in Manhattan and now Brooklyn. I like the views both in Manhattan and your Brooklyn apartments. The Brooklyn apartment seems like a major upgrade as compared to your Manhattan apartment for space.
I can't imagine! I pay $1,000/mo for a 3br/2ba/2car 1,500 sqft house, under 10 years old! It's Idaho with a view of mountains. It's not NY, but then again, it's NOT NY! LOL!
Love your work! You are indeed Peachy! 😊💜
Your video editor is doing an amazing job! 💙
“Welcome to my crib” 😂😂
This building MUST have serious amenities like rooftop deck, gym, party room, pool, etc. High floor with elevator too boosts the price as well.
No no this is the state of New York city right now unfortunately.
This is 15 1/2 minutes of her and her boyfriend saying “Yeah, we make more money than all of you!” 🤦🏻♂️😂
and here i wonder if he is shure he is the boyfriend, cmon i mean,... you know what i mean
What a beautiful apartment. Loved the view from the bedroom too. And paused the video and peeked at the books. Happy for you guys.
Welcome to BROOKLYN!!! I'm a born and raised Brooklynite! I have to say that, of all the 5 Boroughs in NYC, Brooklyn is the best (Ok, I'm seriously bias, who cares, FUHGETTABOUTIT!)
Just bought a new construction 3bed 2bath with 600sq roofdeck condo in Chicago and we pay 3,300 a month for our mortgage, Property taxes HOA fees. And utilities... Crazy how expensive NYC is
This costs 4 times more than my house. You could get a 7 year mortgage, pay the same money, and have a house lol
ps my office is in queens
$950/mo for a whole house? Where is that?
Eric Donohue south carolina. its a really nice area, too.
I liked their old apartment more. That view was insane
your place cost R56104,42 a month. which is equivalent to buying a brand new (second hand) car every month. my rent is about R2500.00 a month. from SA BTW
Hey! Another South African!
@@capt.clarkeza4835 what up from all the way from the free state!!!!!!!
The Ultralord Show Sup all the way from Cape Town 🤣
After living in NYC for more than 20 years...Yes i was approaching 3k a month.. I had enough and wanted something else.. Now living in Japan. Came back to Nyc for a visit recently.. No thanks - I love NYC and I am grateful for all it taught me.
visited tokyo recently it's amazing there!
came here to say one thing GOD BLESS TEXAS
Mohammed Al-Qassem I’m moving out there for work for this very reason. Haha I visited Texas last year and it was just an awesome experience. Changed my life forever
@@JZETH_ I'm thinking about the same thing.
It´s crazy how expensive this Apartment is but honestly, it looks amazing also the furniture you have in the apartment.
*Me seeing the thumbnail:* This video doesn't look interesting
*Me seeing John Hill:* Woah! Interesting video
So many things we take for granted. 1/2 the space for twice the cost. Such a deal to live in the big city.
$3,800 in rent is make's me rethink my carrier decision real estate
*career
I don't comment often, but I need to praise you for that Monkey Island framed screenshot. Who's the adventure game lover in the house?
It's not even the high rent why I wouldn't want to live there.. I like the country too much. I like my wide open spaces and mountains. But if you like the big city, do you boo boo.
It's crazy how happy you are with living in such a small place. Here in New Zealand there's no way I could live in an appartment like that. Couldn't not have a backyard. You guys do utilise space so much better than us kiwis though
Almost 3x my house payment
The apartment is awesome. I love the white blue vibe that’s going on there. Also the wood on the tables and kitchen makes us look so clean
5:15 "We do all the things..." 😏
LOL the fact that u wanted to point that out made me cackle in my bed at 2 AM👽
I live in a house in Brooklyn with my parents my whole life, but when I move out I will look at apartments around there. I like y’all apartment a lot.
for $100 more I was getting a 2 bedroom downtown
I love your reviews! your MacBook 16 review and your Dell XPS review were really good and I dig your vibe...continued success!!
Man that's expensive. Double what it needs to be.
