This is a great conception!!! More traction and floatation, but a little but!!! Use a "U joint" on it's linkeage for better turn control and differential pivoting. Love it.!!! It's a real easy add on improvement.
I agree that the back of the plough wasn't as deep as the front - the top link needed to be screwed out. Trouble is, in lift postion the rear of the plough wasn't lifting high enough for that. Presumably the linkage wasn't designed to take that much weight? A couple of assister rams would help - that's what I did with my tandem Nuffield 10-60s.
*That MF35 doesn't have enaugh Power to pull 4 Furrow Plows, the mod that you did gives it good traction but doesn't give it more power in fact with more moving parts you actually loose power to parasitic loads like driving extra cogs for the back end of the tractor, Also the PTO is a parasitic Load!!!*

@@AutodidactEngineer It wasn't that good or reliable. But it was affordable in the Balkan region, so every village had atleast one of 533/539 imt's. Overall it wasn't that good of a tractor. With some time tractors like imt 577 (4 cyl, 77hp) and torpedo td9006(6 cyl, 90hp with deutz licence) became "balkan workhorses"

This setup seems totally wrong to me.. You place 4 furrow behind it but have the same hp that is for 2 furrow but you add another rear end to it that is making it work even harder? Seems like its backwards
Looks really cool and as the owner of a 35X I love the project. However I can’t help agreeing with the comments about diluting the power. Unless you need to add traction for difficult terrain there is no real advantage with a longer drive train. Am I missing something?

What about the way the front drive wheel came off the ground as he turned in ! No provision made for articulation. I would imagine all sorts of cracks and potential breakage after serious use.
Dad had two John Deere 730 diesels coupled together with an elaborate hinge between them so that it would articulate like the 4X4 of today. Pulled 6 bottom plow. You drove from the seat of the rear tractor. also controls on rear.
Hmm few people understand engine loading... If the engine is stock hp etc. This set up is overloading the engine, pto and transmission for longterm durability. If this was done for "fun" then that another thing. But this isn't my tractor or money spent. I personally spend efforts on lower parasitic drag and longer life.
This rig only makes sense in the context of plowing with a four bottom. It really has no other use on earth. By the time that 35 was out, there were much better plowing tractors available. A 35 wasn't very powerful and was too light really to be a 4 bottom tractor anyway. This seams like a whole lotta trouble to go to when you could just get a bigger tractor or a smaller plow. Hell, you could use a Farmall M and get better results.
Because of that there can be no articulation hence the front driving wheel came off the ground when he turned in ! Must be a tremendous amount of stress in the coupling ?
@@AutodidactEngineer i mean most of my country uses those tractors so if they really that bad how u sayin im pissed but yeah u kinda right and john deere 3140 could plow a midrange field in 30 mins while our imt 542 would need a whole day from morning till it goes a lil bit dark, but also the john deere tractor is a bit expensive for our people since most of the people live close to the poverty line meanwhile you could buy an imt 533 for 1000-2000 Euros and overall it gets the job done
FapKing69 IMT was a nice brand until the 90’s when capitalism ran it over. Yugoslavs were happy with it - durable, good, Yugoslav-made, cheap parts etc.

The conversion might have done better on an old 8N Ford with the 95HP six-cylinder conversion on it. Just a thought.
