Hi, We are using Tata Nexon EV. Recently we performed a road trip on Nexon EV from Secunderabad to Trivandrum and back in which we covered more than 3024 Kms. The range of an EV depends on your driving pattern. If you try to keep the average power consumption at about 125Wh/Km, you will get a range of around 240Kms. We were getting it.

Average 200-250 depends on terrains, but surprisingly on my last drove from Kayamkulam to Thiruvananthapuram via adoor kottarakkara route on AC with 3 passenger including driver completed in just 37% charge.

Nexon got into an accident, front bumber and one side piece broke, it took 45 days for the bumber to come and to repair it. And for the Tiago, they took the car for service and it was not ready for two weeks, after yelling at them, they gave another car to use for few days. But people are telling that they have improved their services since one year.

First of all its a great product from TATA. TATA has listened to most of the customer feedbacks.
Some drawbacks and missing features. I hope TATA is listening
1. Headrest on both front seats is not comfortable. It's doesn't support the head.
2. Wireless Android and Carplay should have been default.
3. In the Back seat side handle we cannot the rest the hand properly.
4. The ventilated seat switch should have been in a better place.
5. Cup holder and one more charger should have been provided.
6. Back side AC blower should have control switch.
These are minimal additions I think TATA can correct it.
Try to maintain the avg Wh/km below 120 to get good range. If u maintain it below 120 Wh/km u will get above 400km range.
How much unit is required to charge this fully?? Also, 18.74L includes the equipment which is set at home or that is extra??

I have a Nexon EV.. in truth city drive the range is LESS compared to highway driving... I get around 180km range in city and highway around 220km.. the reason when I enquired is that in city although more braking is done but the amount recharged is less compared to the battery used up when accelerating...

വളരെ നല്ല video, നല്ല അവതരണം. ഒരു പുതിയ EV യെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഒട്ടുമിക്ക കാര്യങ്ങളും പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്. എന്നാൽ ഇതിൽ ചില കാര്യങ്ങളിൽ എനിക്ക് വിയോജിപ്പ് ഉണ്ട്. കഴിഞ്ഞ പത്തു മാസത്തോളം Nexon EV ഉപയോഗിച്ചതിൽ നിന്നും അനുഭവപ്പെട്ട കാര്യങ്ങളാണിവ.
പുതിയ ടെക്നോളജി വരുമ്പോൾ താങ്കളെ പോലെ ഉള്ളവർ കൂടുതൽ വ്യതമായി കാര്യങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നാൽ അത് കൂടുതൽ നന്നായേനെ.
1) ടൗണിലെ തിരക്കിൽ ഓടിക്കുമ്പോളാണ് കൂടുതൽ range കിട്ടുന്നത്.
ഇത് ശരിയാണ് എന്നു എനിക്ക് തോന്നിയിട്ടില്ല. ടൗണിലെ തിരിക്കൽ ഓടിക്കുമ്പോൾ മൊത്തത്തിൽ ഉള്ള ശരാശരി വേഗത കണക്കാക്കി അതുപോലെയോ, അതിൽ കുറച്ചു കൂടിയോ ഹൈവേയിൽ വാഹനം ഓടിച്ചാൽ എന്തായാലും ഹൈവേയിൽ കൂടുതൽ range കിട്ടേണ്ടതാണ്.
2) ഹൈവേയിൽ ഓടിക്കുമ്പോൾ regenerative braking കിട്ടുന്നില്ല. അതിനാൽ ബാറ്ററി മുഴുവൻ ഓടാൻ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു, charge ആകുന്നില്ല.
Regenerative braking എന്നത് ബ്രേക്ക് ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ വാഹനത്തിനുള്ള ഊർജത്തിൽ കുറച്ചു ബാറ്ററി ചാർജ് ചെയ്യാൻ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന സംവിധാനമാണ്. വാഹനം നിർത്തേണ്ട / വേഗത കുറക്കേണ്ട ആവശ്യം വരുമ്പോൾ മാത്രമാണ് ഇത് ഉപകാരമായി വരുന്നത് (ഇത് കൂടാതെ ഇറക്കം ഇറങ്ങുമ്പോളും ഇത് ഉപയോഗപ്രദമാണ്). അല്ലാത്ത അവസ്‌ഥയിൽ എല്ലാം ഇത് ആവശ്യമില്ലാതെ വാഹനത്തിന്റെ range കുറക്കാൻ മാത്രമേ ഉപകരിക്കുകയുള്ളൂ എന്നാണ് എന്റെ ധാരണ. Highway യിൽ നിർത്തുമ്പോൾ അല്ലതെ regeneration ന്റെ ആവശ്യമില്ല. Regeneration വരാതെ ഓടിച്ചാൽ ഹൈവേയിൽ 40-50ൽ തന്നെ നല്ല range കിട്ടും (city യേക്കാൾ കൂടുതൽ)
3) Sports mode-ൽ range കുറയുമെന്നുള്ളത്.
Sports mode ൽ നിയന്ത്രിച്ചു ഓടിച്ചാൽ Drive mode ൽ പ്രയാസപ്പെടുന്ന അത്ര പ്രയാസമില്ലാതെ അതിനോടടുത്ത range കിട്ടാൻ സാധിക്കും. (Accelerator pedal -ൽ നിന്നും കാൽ എടുക്കുമ്പോൾ ഉള്ള regeneration sports mode ൽ കുറവാണ് എന്നുള്ളതാണ് കാരണമെന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു)
എന്റെ അഭിപ്രായത്തിൽ ഹൈബ്രിഡ് ആണ് best, വണ്ടി ചാർജ് ഇല്ലെങ്കിലും പെട്രോളിൽ ഓടണം എന്നതാണ് ജനങ്ങളുടെ ആവശ്യം

Maybe hybrid is the future.. recently saw a video in which a Tesla car is dragged by a Ford raptor on a track for one lap.. using that generated power Tesla rode 4 laps... There is a scope for battery less hybrid vehicles

First of all its a great product from TATA. TATA has listened to most of the customer feedbacks.
Some drawbacks and missing features. I hope TATA is listening
1. Headrest on both front seats is not comfortable. It's doesn't support the head, it is just there for name sake.
2. Wireless Android and Carplay should have been default.
3. In the back seat side handle we cannot rest the hand properly.
4. The ventilated seat switch should have been in a better place.
5. Cup holder and one more charger should have been provided somewhere in the central console.
6. Back side AC blower should have control switch.
7. Rather than keeping those orange wires (connected to battery) exposed in the bottom a covering could have given.
These are minimal additions I think TATA can correct before it's delivered to customers.
