I started a fast last week for the first time and I was getting frustrated because I felt I wasn't doing it right and God wasn't proud so 2 days ago I stopped and prayed and asked God if I was meant to do this and I was close to my breakthrough to show me what to cut out and what to prayer for. I had some ideas, but your video was my confirmation, so thank you

My husband and I are doing our first fast this year. We started and struggled. We prayed and pivoted for how we were supposed to do it with food since we were so focused on doing it right. So we pressed into Jesus and He revealed that He was happy that we were making an effort to fast and seek him. We definitely need to stretch that spiritual muscle. I struggle with some chronic health conditions and by cutting out certian things that God wanted us to fast He showed me healing. I havent felt this good in months! He showed healing in a child our family who was born with siezures. Healing is what I needed to see from God and He showed me in a big way and trust has been developed more through it. God is so good!
My fiancée and I just started a HUGE social media fast because we have become too addicted to instagram, Facebook and tik tok and it has gotten to the point where it was blocking our view of God and now I am seeing this video about fasting! This video spoke to me so much. ❤

@@ashleyhetherington_ Thank you I needed this also Ashely hetherington if you could read this I would greatly appreciate it I know it is long Yes I am struggling with this right now I keep having Christian OCD where I think thoughts that contradict what my heart and soul believes but my mind keeps hearing these voices that tell me that and it's scary I get so scared like I am going to hell because I keep having very evil and dark thoughts which scares me because I don't want to think these thoughts anymore because my heart knows there very wrong but I keep thinking them I know I won't be thrown into hell for these thoughts because God of all people knows my heart and I am a very good Christian who is 15 years old and just wants to tell people about Jesus through her Christian club at school but the enemy is making it really hard i learned on the internet that these thoughts aren't true God loves u and he won't punish you we cleared that but it also states to just keep moving in with my life and ignore them well the problem with me Everytime I think these thoughts my heart almost kinda feels sick like my heart needs to throw up it's like my right and left side are having a war against me my other side is Satan the devil and my otjer side is me and God yelling saying no your a liar god is good he is not the bad guy its very scary because I think wrong or blasphemy thoughts and I think that I am going to hell but I need to remind myself that God looks at the heart and my heart loved him with everything and it's just so hard to shut these voices in my head off. It almost makes me wonder if the devil is attacking me because I am getting closer and closer to having my first Christian meeting is that why he's attacking me is it because he's trying to ruin me emotionally and mentally so I just give up on this club or does this club not have to do why I am going through this regardless of if this is the reason I am not letting the devil win I am going to keep reading the Bible keep helping people in my club grow closer to god and to keep doing what I am doing and not give up but its a scary time because these thoughts I have people tell me to just ignore them not let them bother me but that's where I am struggling I feel like if I don't fight back I don't wrestle with my head back and forth then God will think that I think these thoughts are cool so I struggle to ignore them because I feel like if I start to not care and ignore them he will think that I think those thoughts are true i know this was a long comment but if u read this I appreciate you so much and I could really use so prayers to put my mind at ease because i am truly frightened like never before and I need these th to go away because I can't even sleep well so thank you to everyone who read this and God bless you 💖💖

recently, I asked God to remove a guy I actually liked from my life. although it upsets me, the guy was genuinely such a pure soul. he loved God, we had such deep conversations, such a connection, he would pray for me, I’d pray for him. and it was honestly a blessing. realizing now after everything (he was leaving me on delivered for long periods of time, blocked me on insta & snap) I understood that I’m too young to be worrying about this rn. ever since I found your channel I feel like I don’t need any christian friends but obviously thats me being dramatic. anyways, Im starting to go out there and meet new christians. Im happy for God and my life rn is giving me hope for the future😊

Whenever I feel like like I’ve strayed away from God, I get so discouraged and things start going really wrong in my life. I’m in a really hard position. I’m going through a lot right now but every time I feel like that and I see your UA-cam videos you encourage me to get back in gods word your videos are literally so refreshing! Thank you !

Girl I’ve wanted to try fasting for a a long time!! But currently I am breast feeding my not even one year old and found out I’m pregnant again! Which is such a blessing but I have to eat constantly to feed them.. so it’s a hard place to be because I do want to hear from God and try fasting from food but also want to be able to provide nutrients for my babies!

ashley. the story you told at the end of this video was really hitting and striking a chord w me. you were talking about building a team and i was just thinking, "man, i wish God would speak to me like he did to ashley." then, i kid you not, when you started to list off different areas that God can work his will in, the first thing you said was "what college to go to."
girl. my biggest struggle since mid 2023 was college college college. i obsessively thought about it for MONTHS and i prayed that God would work his will, but still held on to my own attachment to the future, what i wanted. just recently have i really felt like i have begun to surrender this process to the Lord, and then you saying what i mentioned above really just broke me down and hit me right in the heart.
you never know how God could use the littlest thing that you do or say to really bring meaning to someone's reality.

I have the hardest time giving God control and to faith rest in Him because i feel like i HAVE to make things happen when the reality is that God knows what's best for me and can make anything happen. Not to mention that I'm stubborn as heck XDD which doesn't help me hear God's voice at all. Health conditions, when I said this what I meant was that I had to have something removed from within my body, so it’s not the same as before, therefore the fasting for me and others like me is different. Fasting is meant to replace doing that thing to spend time with God. Also when I spoke about this in your group it was because I was sad and heartbroken and thought it was a safe place for me to express myself.
For everything there is time & its ❄️☃️season. I am waiting for that time God must bring. 🎉❤🎉

Is not that you have to fast to meet God, but fasting is essential for Christians, and it helps us to get even closer to jesus, you can fast on weekends or on your free days, when almost nobody is at your house, that can interfere in fasting❤
