@@videolane Thanks... that is OK form me. I used the camera integrated zooming of the FZ2500 and the image shivers a little at the end, so this is a good solution.
I should buy one and try on my Tamron 18-300. Not sure the motor has enough power to roll it though. Focus ring doesn’t require big power but zoom does.
Thank you for an easy to follow tutorial on setting this up! Do you think it will work for Zoom lenses that expand outwards and not an internal zoom like the one you have?
This kit does not look sufficient to cover the full zoom range. Is it possible to use the ak4000 gimbal for stability and panning, and the Panasonic Image app to control zoom simultaneously? Such as zoom in with the Image app, then Pan with the gimbal control?
Guys there is one easy way to zoom from the camera using the touch screen and am fine with that just touch the screen using one of the on screen fn buttons and it will automatically zoom in and same goes for zoom out, but am only concerned if u zoom all the way in will there be jitter with this gimbal or not ???
Nice review! I got the akfII but it makes a continuous annoying sound like it tries to adjust all the time. Even if i want touch the magic ring it keeps making noise and vibrations that ruins the video recording. Is this normal or my product is broken?
@@dronetheworld4k67 no, not on the device ofc. But you set the travel distance. Some cinema glass has a focus throw of almost 360°, and the follow focus should be able to handle that. 1-99 can be 20° or up to 360°
@@dronetheworld4k67 it has nothing to do with the gimbal, just the follow focus. And yes, although this plastic piece is not intended for cinema or high budget stuff, it’s still made for cinema glass. Feyutech has their own video about setting the travel distance for the akf
nice video. I have the same follow focus but is does not work right. when I move the knob the motor teeth start "jumping" with the gear band on the lense. really annoying. I try everything. I even send that one back and got a new one. Same problem, tried different lenses. Same problem. everything is fastened and tight but it still makes that thing. is like the teeth on the gear does not match the motor of the follow focus. I do not why but it does not work right
After testing, I don't recommend this method on the Panasonic Lumix FZ2500. Does it work on your camera?
What? You don't recommend the information of this video... why? The Feiyu follow focus work well with the FZ 2500... isn't?
@@eliasparedes8196 because it wasn't designed to work this way. I modified it. It was designed for focusing not zooming.

From experience, it will not work, because my camera lens actually expands and contracts and I have to balance based on the expanded size.
Great hack - keep doing what you do!

U can definitely zoom with the app but I found the app zoom extremely fast and not user friendly…

Hi. Great video! Wanna ask did it produces noise when working? And is the speed fast enough?
No noise at all. Coz the gear band around the lens is made of rubber. It's slow I should say. Can't do a fast zoom.
Brilliant man! just bought this because of you:)
does it work ?
@@dronetheworld4k67 it does. If your lens has a stiff zoom it might be tricky, but my lumix lenses are fine with it

Mine doesn't make any noise
@@videolane thanks for the response. I have already contacted the supplier. It is possible defected...
@@AirsoftReviewsHD mine is the same, did you get a new one?

Is possible to use the Feiyutech with two motors, one for the focus and other for the zoom?
The knob can control only one motor.
Triple press the button on the AKF, turn the zoom as far as you can, then back. Press the button again. Your zoom will have greater travel distance
past 99 ?...

I'm willing to try it with my RX10M4
Great!
you sould use Follow Focus gen.1 to using it with zoom.

Thanks for the video, but can you please normalize the music? It's extremely loud compared to your voice.
