Classic tune... a must have in any collection.
I love this comment from Social.... Steve Silk Hurley produced hits, and that ain't no s**t. If anyone asked me what house music is, I'd hand them a stack of Hurley discs.....lol
Riding down Harlem ave on my bicycle on Friday night wbmx was heard on 90% of the cars. Lol I know cause I had it on my walkman too
Bertsbug Walkman
Bad boy bill
I had a JVC Walkman best thing was I had a graphic equalizer on the front cover so I used drop the tape in and cruise on my raighley burner bmx good times
Still a big hit for me in my era. still rocks me and my daughter has caught on.
This was a HUGE club hit around 85 or 85, I think - I hear it everywhere in Chicago. 'Silk' is a legend.
One of my biggest college memories is mixtapes the kids from Chicago would bring with them and doing this dance ❤
almost 30 years , still a tune..
This tune started House music in the UK, maybe some earlier tunes were noticed but for the masses at home this was a sucker punch, after that House/Techno/Trance exploded in the UK. I can still remember the day I heard this tune, I was blown away.
Basically the same happened in Germany....after that it came in from overseas AND the UK....2 years later certain german cities discos joined the acid wave big time....
young kids playing this today still amazin… REAL House will NEVER die
24yo and my dad introduced me to 90s hip hop house/house/acid house. eternally grateful for that !
My all time favourite. Picked it up in July 1986 from the US import channels, but it took until February 1987 before it entered the Dutch and British charts. I still have got it on vinyl, with same same label as uploaded by 3dbully
Takes me back to the basement parties in the CHI!

Went to number 1 in the UK 2 years before the summer of love happened. This and Pump Up The Volume changed everything for us in the UK.
I didn't realize how old this song is. I heard this song in the '90's, during live to air from dance clubs. It stands up to the test of time. Classic!!

This still fucks my head to this damn day......YEAH!!!!
1986,eh! Wow, effortless in its simplicity and coolness. A track well ahead of its time and as fresh now as I was when trying to blag my naive16 year old face into suspicious Wakefield (UK) nightclubs. I ve had many better and messier techno nights since then but i would love to coming on strong to this on a club dancefloor...and your all invited...make it loud
Yes. Much hope for this generation!
