I was lucky enough to work in Chicago at Eddie Rockets in 91. My first bar job, I was unknowingly introduced to the greatest music ever!
In my humble opinion, this is one of the best Chicago / Hip House trax ever.
Thanks - dont have to wear out the grooves on my copy, still remember walking into a record store in chicago in 1996, stacked up about 50 records on the desk as I was shopping, and the staff was starting to look pissed, like i was trying on clothes and expecting them to put them back. After a couple hours i went to pay and they asked which ones, .. ALL!
Probably took about 6 DJ International albums and singles in my little trip from small town Canada.
2024 ❤
Man 1991 Wiesbaden Germany on Autobahn 3 in the left lane wide open, Jack to Sound of the Underground!!! House will never Die!!! Sound track of my life!!
The South Side jacks to the underground. I just heard this this last weekend. Gotta be in Chicago to still hear this the clubs! Its like a renaissance...
Pure Energy
Timeless!
FAT TRACK !!!! Brings me lots of good memories. My very tech underground founded education. I was a very teenager, jejeje. Best,

This Was A Club Anthem Of Mine For Many Many Years
Perfecta versión mil gracias !
Trax like this make me want the TR-707 back :) I think I haven't heard this version before. Cool.
The 707, the OTHER classic house beat machine. With a kick that could pierce armour. Poor man's Linn.
In Chicago... #3) Mr Lee's "Art of Acid", #2) Fast Eddie's "Acid Thunder", and #1) is "Turn Up the Bass" from Tyree n Kool Rock Steady
good music
jack to the nderground awesome track
Aphrodite remember me this song
What other tracks feature this muffled subtle but deeply effective bass rythm which sneaks in and out this dope tune all the way through.
I must be able to get more of it SOMEWHERE.

...nice choice. :-)
@Shemmomi I was in Germany (im from the UK) in 1988 and the house music scene was huge...We would go clubbing at Club holiday in Dortmund, the Tarn Centre in Bochum AND Chequers in Dusseldorf to name a few...
@Shemmomi
no, there are more. A friend of mine introduced me to house back then when we both were like 9 or ten years old, which would be around 1985. Camaro's Gang, Paul Hardcastle, Tolga Balkan and stuff like this, then Bomb the Bass, Hithouse, S'Express ... good times.

Yeah, opinions... little nuances. I love whole genre and it is quite impossible to put this in any order.
Different trax feel like "the best" in different days. =)
BTW. I asked DJ to play Fast Eddie's "Acid Thunder" just before my live gig once.. 1994/1995.
My set was Acid House and DJ played UG tekno before me. He didn't quite get why I wanted that Acid Thunder.
Z Cavaricci and Aqua Net
niente.. :)
This was on a double cassette with various artists, i cant remember what the title was called, i used to have it but lost it, i need to get another copy, please help
@systray27 this is exactly when it started - end of 80's. tb303+tr909/808 ;-)
Not a tb 303 tr808 or tr909 anywhere on it
@Shemmomi: Certainly you are not the only one... just a little late discovering thi sin 88, it came over from england in 86 (love can't turn around, Jack your body)
coole track, heb je per ongeluk ook 'if you got a big ol' booty'? ben er al naar op zoek sinds ik het Dave Clarke hoorde draaien op I Love Techno ergens in de 90's...
@Shemmomi nein, Du warst nicht der Einzige. No, you were not the only one. :-D.
but i don´t know, why they shocked about this sound. The sounds from Kraftwerk or other Elecronic sound bands are stranger then Fast Eddie. Great Stuff.
you fool...this is the original track! the dutch combo hithouse just used the same sample from this original !!!
