Wow what a fantastic station and video. Two brilliant cops as well with the TPE 68 and the two 67s. I bet you can't wait to go to other stations to catch the TPE 68s. Keep safe and take care, regards Gary.
Thanks very much, this was a great station to come to and the amount of traffic passing through was incredible from start to finish. I will happily come back here
Love all your videos, but you would have really liked the 1960s Victoria/Exchange. Loads of platforms, endless trains, frequent banking up to Miles Platting. After many years away I passed through on a steam excursion in 2001, and thought where am I! Ok, it’s improved since, but hardly the majestic station of times past.
Very good video once again Jarred. Firstly, the hill you speak of is Miles Platting Bank which has a 1 in 46 climb out of the station and secondly, the first set of double trams you saw coming in would've been off to Altrincham from Bury. Also, Manchester Victoria is a regular stop for me as Manchester Arena is right above you. Seen a few shows there in my time. Great to see TPE"s new toys out and about and the bonus of the charter service too. I'd have been more than happy too if i were in your position
This station is in fact a pale shadow of its former self. Back in the 80's most trains were diverted to Piccadilly and about half of Victoria was demolished to make way for the arena.
I found out for the first time on Wednesday just how loud those 68s are! One was sat in Lime Street at the far end of platform 1, you could hear it in the main concourse!
@@dianecooper9932 can you please stop commenting the timestamps that I have put? Pretty please? A little "Weed B Gone" and some Rust Paint is all she needs, this Station. Jokes aside, it looks great inside even with/due the ongoing work, just the outer needs some love. I really like the 185's, 142's and those old 150's some hard working ladies. Oh my Splendid, yesss! Sweet 67, just wow, and so clean too. Nice work here, a very relaxing set of services.
Almost 7K wow!!Congrats Very nice video as always but watching it from newest to 4 video's before this one sorry didn't watch youtube to much lately. Want to say Merry christmas to you and all your loved ones♥♥♥
Thank you Debby! That's alright you don't have to apologise to me :D I just hope you're having a great week so far and I wish you a wonderful Christmas and a Happy new Year to you and your family xx
Wow.... Its amazing to see how one previously magnificent station that looked like it covered alot of mass can be reduced to 6 platforms and no land Mass covered at all. Wow It Looks so Different
When your back in East Anglia area Suffolk Norfolk Cambridgeshire or Essex look out for the Great Northern class 387 101 . Thats the number of the unit that the queen travelled on this year for Christmas from London kings cross to king's lynn.

They don’t mess around those 802, it staggered me how fast that thing got going.
They do have some great acceleration

From what I have understood they want to operate as an open access operator running trains from Liverpool to London Euston using former LNER Mk4 sets
