That was a good attempt.... I would like share few of my views too.... Although brick is costly... It's bond strength is more... As we are doing English bond ... In laterite its weight is more ... Compressive strength more .. more load bearing capacity.... Cement block we are using stretcher bond ... Which is actually recommend for compound wall construction or half wall construction... This is made these days not as per IS code recommended format....So u can't expect much strength compared to others... AAC is not a load bearing material... It becomes good option for high rise building... When it's a framed structure... Protherm is fine but comaprively not cost effective.... Laterite and brick houses u can expect more life expectancy... And though starting cost high .... Cement blocks don't expect a life expectancy as above material but budget friendly.... Wont loot ur pocket first... But don't expect leave in that house for 50 years ... Protherm and AAC gives good sound and heat insulation,.. AAC is good option if u are doing .... A framed structure... And using it as a partition alone .. don't make it to take load .. it's not for that purpose.... U didn't tell about interlocking bricks....
Interlocking bricks are different from conventional bricks that do not require mortar for the construction of walls. These are designed in such a way that each brick can lock itself with others due to the key and lock mechanism. AAC to be used with polymer based adhesive and not cement mortar. Regards
Wow. nice explanation. I had a laterite compound wall in a slightly wet land. The wall collapsed after a year during a rainy season. What is the best option for a relatively wet area? It should last long. That is the main criteria. Any advise please?
