- In this episode, we will explore some of the cool possibilities on our 2022 Acura RDX A-Spec with Advance Package. We will start off with PRL Stage 1 Intake and Intercooler kit. Then we move on to the Eibach Pro Kit, lowering our RDX -1.5" front and -1.2" rear. We finished off with a ECU flash from K-tuner and 4 Wheel Alignment. And the real test is here, how much performance increases with these upgrades in a Quarter Miles?

Always love the videos that come from AHC garage! Keep it up. So looking at the PRL intake kit I'm happy to see they included a support rod for the air duct. Once these are tuned that air duct flexes and can collapse to restrict the turbo. Unfortunately for us RDX folks there is no further intake support. Would be awesome to have an upgrade in the future that would leverage that air duct and remove the factory resonator on the intake. In the meantime this is a great solution. Accompany this with the PRL inlet pipe for the fk8 and you have possibly the best system available for the RDX at this point. Next lets see a downpipe and maybe the Phaerable stage 3 tune.

Why are you going to add the intercooler are you planning on going further with mods? Because the cooler alone seems to be a wasted upgrade alone
@@cbruno12180 most mods are unnecessary. But (1) it is a cool project as a DIY to learn (2) makes my car unique and good conversation piece (3) it's just pretty damn awesome to upgrade something and improve on the original. That's what life's about, always improving and getting better.

Amazing content guys, we have a 19 RDX so I love seeing anything for this platform. One idea on content, curious if you're seeing these new turbo engines come in with the build up from direct injection yet. Would love to see the "Honda" way of addressing, or cleaning this so we can keep these cars on the road for 200k, 300k+ miles 😉

That prl intake is a no brainier for RDX owners. It's cheap, easy to install and actually makes a difference

This is cool. I plan on getting one same year and color.Sadly I won't be doing any upgrades b/c the dealerships love to deny claims because of aftermarket parts.This has been my experience with other companies.

Yes, with some adjustments with K-Tuner, we should be able to brake boost on launch, which should help with the overall result

We wanted to wait until the lowering spring to be settled 100% then realign the vehicle to spec

Why weren’t you able to set caster on the driver front? & would be nice to see when yall torque to spec. Or you don’t torque?
We will re-perform the alignment after the lowering springs are settled. Most of the items are torqued off camera so we are not dragging it longer

That's subjective I have the same car on red so I know and I totally love the gauge cluster, perfect balance of digital and analog
I have a 22 MDX Tech and 21 TLX A-Spec. I’ve yet to lament the absence of a digital cluster in my TLX.

I know this is a '22 model year but man, the wheel wells are so clean. Did this RDX just pass the break in miles? What's the mileage?

The PRL downpipe isn't available at the moment but will definitely be a future install.

How's the tire wear with the springs?
We did not notice any abnormal wear
A find the performance improvements a little suspect. I know the intercooler upgrade prevents heat-soak but did I miss another upgrade besides the intake? I don't believe an intake would cause that much of a performance difference and actually very little. Please help, since I do have a 2021 RDX and want to increase performance. The RDX is my daily. I don't own performance cars anymore as I don't have the time to enjoy them. Thank you. Update on 11/21/2023. I didn't notice the ECU re-flash in BOLD, so that was the reason for my original comment. I am looking into getting my RDX to have 350 at both ends. Anyone on here have such a set-up?
The tune flashed to the ECU would have been the largest improvement. Would have been interesting to see before and after iat and boost numbers.

All that modding for less than a second?, I have the same car but on red and is wicked fast for a SUV, I would never put my car through all that disassembly and on top of that spend money to make it a second faster, what a waste imo.

After the tune he was just stabbing the throttle from idle. If had TC off and power braked it it would have cut 1.9 - 2.0 60fts and dropped the 1/4 by another 4/10ths. (I've been a drag racer since the mid 80s)
On a prepped track, practice in launching it, and cooler air I'm confident it'll cut a 13.9 at 96mph. Maybe even better w/a down pipe upgrade.
Wondering why yours is so slow. I have 23 ASPEC, basically the same car. I can run 6.0 flat pretty much any time, 100% stock
Our test vehicle is a FWD, and you likely to have an SH-AWD.
Phearable stage 3 tune is so much better than ktuner stage 2. just be prepared to upgrade the front brakes…

And don’t have to spend money on an intercooler and intake and tune which installed probably at $3k P/L to gain what .7 of a sec complete waste of money and you know it!! I bet with the tune alone is where u gained the others were money thrown away.. I really like your channel too but in this case you should of noted that this was not a smart mod to do for the money vs gains
