Thanks for being honest. Dad bought a new 4020 in 1965. It had a sycro range transmission. I spent the next 4 or 5 summers on it. When you check the oil take the dip stick out wipe it off. Set the dip stick back on the threads. This is where we checked the oil from. I have a 4010 with a loader on it. What state are you in?
Thanks man! She needs a lot of work, but even in the hay off season we’ve gotten quite a bit of work out of it. Moving bales, used it as a tire Jack to lift a trailer up, and even used the loader as a platform to sit on to saw off some dead tree limbs
since you've lost you Deere side hood emblems, try a set of '2040' decals. cut and reverse the 40 and the 20.Viola!! a '40' series 4020! causes alot of headscratching!
I only added one can to the fuel, eventually I want to get a good thorough clean through it, and run some sea foam spray through the intake. She needs a little work but I’m really enjoying it. Thanks for the sub!

I have driven more 4020's in my life than any other tractor. Always a joy. Beautiful tractor.
