@@arbinnovatorsltd loved all the history commentary. I started fell running 4 years ago and my older fell running friend always tells me the history of the places we are running through. He also points out all the stars and planets when we run in the dark on a clear night. It's fascinating. I had never thought about these things before I started fell running. It makes me feel more enriched and in touch with our past.
Your video is so good in so many ways. The views are remarkable!
What is the runner's name who did it? Great effort from the runner and the helper. He is filming as he goes too in places. Not an easy job.

Stunning film, enjoyed it so much.
I've only recently moved to Sheffield & run a few of these routes/places, so fantastic to learn some of the history. Coincidentally on Saturday I ran from Cutthroat Bridge, up to the stone circle & then across to Edale via Hope Cross.

Thanks, David 🤟🏻 What an amazing place to move to and we're glad to hear you're managing to discover some of the amazing places and routes the Peaks has to offer. It sounds like you got some miles in the legs for sure 👏🏻

I’ve become fascinated by these routes, something that represents an almost entirely different way of life and in the grand scheme of things not that long ago. 1910 is said to be the final pack horse train in Britain in north wales. I often envy those that lived amoungst the old ways, a tough like but a wholesome one.

Do it, you won't regret it. It could also be completed several smaller runs. Don't forget to download the map of the route. Thanks, Nick and Callum.

I've taken Chris Goddard's illustrative map and tried to make a route in OSMaps (explore.osmaps.com/route/11861627/the-packhorse-trail?lat=53.376438&lon=-1.909440&zoom=11.4122&overlays=&style=Leisure&type=2d ) that is accurate.
