Thanks for making this series. I've played a couple of games. I have a pretty good grasp of the basic game mechanics. I've always been a "I will leave you alone of you you leave me alone" player in 4X who likes happy cities that build all the things. What I am running into is 1) You gotta grab lots of land early 2) It is really hard, to not have an early war with a neighbor 3) I find myself progressing into later eras before my science gets up to snuff 4) I spend influence on making outposts and attaching them to cities Civics seem like a waste of resources, too much cost for not enough benefit. I'm hoping your series will help me learn where I am making mistakes and get a better sense of game balance. Thanks!

The way the small dashed borders appear is a bit confusing; which side is claimed which is not claimed? How do the lines affect city or outpost placement? how far apart can they be vs should they be?

Not started playing yet but learning all the ins and out with you. one thing I didn't get very clearly when I played in the open dev is the pros and cons to connecting outposts or making them new cities. Cheers.

The game seems to be stuck in controller controls, I have to hold shift or caps to control with mouse and keyboard.. how do I change this??

I came across a bug that wouldn't let me advance to the next era (Neolithic to ancient) and I can't find it anybody else experiencing it
