What's weird is the dart fit is really poor on my Savage Spin. Even with fresh darts there's two or three barrels on every cylinder that won't hold a dart in them...I mean the darts fit inside fine, but if I angle the blaster down they drop right out. I don't really have the tools or means to brass them, is there some kind of poor man's fix out there for this kinda issue?
Hey @Walcom S7 cool video as always, but aren't ypu severely cutting down on performance when using rechargeable batteries instead of standard AA? depending how it's wired you're going from 9V down to 7.2V (not sure if it has a voltage regulator inside, but I doubt it).
i'd use this over magazines, because you can pick up darts from the floor, load them in the blaster while you are shooting, and also carry spare darts with you for reading on the floor
High capacity w/o mags, 20% more punch than stock hasbro, AND it comes with the good darts in the package, for $30 plus AA's ... this thing is a great off the shelf gateway to the rest of the hobby.
Those flywheels sound like they're either screaming to instill fear into your enemies, or because they're in pain. dunno which is which. The main mod I would do is installing a nerf rail, and perhaps a nerf stock point to it.
WS7 A super fantastic review. The facts and opinion are awesome. 45 dart capacity is outstanding and 90 fps wow. Thanks for always taking the time to do reviews on new blasters. Keep up the great work.
Just had a small 1 on 1 and he had a fully automatic and I completely wrecked with this. Accurate, fast, effective, and so far reliable I have got to get another.
Really happy with this blaster. Put four IMRs in it and honestly only got another 10' or so out of its (already great) range. Maybe a little faster spin-up time. Think this will be my go-to for stock games for foreseeable future. I really like the profile too. My stock was solid, I'd look at returning it. With stock out and hand on front grip has a solid SMG feel. Rotation action is kinda loud (indoors).
@@CeeWorld69 IMR refers to Lithium-ion Manganese Rechargeable, they're AA-sized batteries that are used in things like e-cigarettes and cree flashlights. They provide boosted voltage and amps "without requiring" upgrades to the blaster. But they can be borderline dangerous and cause motors to overheat, etc so use at your own risk
@@tsmcgu oh ok, thank you. So you’re saying out of the 6 battery slots, you put in 4 IMR batteries and that was good enough to get extra power without messing up the motors
I'm guessing the slogan, "It's Nerf or Nothing!" isn't really holding up anymore...and that's great! I love to see these other brands shake up the usual formulas and come up with some really nice new ideas and systems! Hasbro needs to get out of their comfort zone and innovate more.
I bought one of these the day they were released, had it in my hand before it hit the shelves. It was my favorite blaster shown off at EndWar, and I knew I had to have it. That being said, I will confirm that my unit also sounds like death. Mine also tends to smell like smoke a little when it first fires, like it's burning the first few darts that go through. I like it, though. Intimidation factor.
Between this and the Destructor Dart Zone has a great lineup this year! The tactical rail can be used with other adventure force and n strike tactics, however you need the adapter which is included with the Alpha Rogue blaster.
Hey Walcom. Aren't most blaster with cylinders or front loading barrels already conically tapered towards the rear where it's a narrower opening and that's why most modders rebarrel them so the whole barrel is snug along the whole length of the dart? So why not just reverse the tapering at the factory like you said, "make it conical" with the wider opening in the back instead of the front to accommodate rear loading? And since this is a flywheel, it doesn't have to be conical, it can just be a straight cylinder that has a snug enogh fit on the whole length of the dart, but not too snug that the pusher mech has a hard time pushing the dart forward. Companies that make these blaster might even save money and materials if they don't have to put a "back stop" for the darts to prevent users from loading the darts too far back. The inside diameter of the cylinder will be uniform throughout the length of it, thus saving some more on materials used as supposed to having more material towards the back, which is how it is right now so the dart has a more snug fit in the back only to allow operators to front load easily.
With Flywheelers, not really. They don't need a firm grip on the dart because they don't rely on Air Pressure, and in fact they need less resistance to have an easy time pushing the dart into the flywheels. Making it more snug not only makes reloading a bit more difficult (thus defeating the purpose), but removing the back stop will make it so if you push a dart too far in (or not far enough in from the rear) the mechanism will jam. I solved this with my RUST Thompson by having a plate in front of the cylinder that acted like a stop and made it rear-loading only, but I imagine that they could have a conical shape that grips the dart in one spot that makes it so you can load it from behind or the front however you please and not have an issue molded right into the cylinders which would make both methods viable.
imagine dual wielding them with a custom leg mount and modified drum change pump handle that slides into leg mount that way you have 90 darts and you can pelt the enemy for twice as long :D
A brand new flywheel set would make this thing even better. And then you could buy multiple of the stock guns for the drums, pretty much you'd have front loading 45 dart mags
I got this a month ago. But my stock is good it dont push in without pushing the button. Also your motor is very loud mine is no where near that loud. Maybe try taking it back and getting a different one.
I think it's a pretty great blaster design. Though, a friend had a problem with his in a war. I think the active cylinder wasn't indexing, possibly. Not sure if he fixed it.
4:19 WHY DO THEY KEEP DOING THIS! This was the same issue with the rampage/raider stock, it’s useless having multiple positions if it doesn’t lock into place, because you go to shoulder it and it slides closed
Between this and the Megalodon? Eh... I still want the Megalodon. I've got a Turbo Fire... yeah, I'm more of a springer-guy than a flywheel-guy. But that's just me. I'd definitely get one of these to use as a loaner.
Walcom is the big man on campus with all these late night releases-
Gives me something great to watch at the end of the day
It's just my terrible sleeping schedule.
With all these great Adventure Force/Dart Zone Blasters it's hard to pick a favorite now...
I agree buy for me its probably the scorpion or the enforcer
The Magnum Superdrum is still my favorite.

So this is the updated version of the Dart Zone "Not Shit Doominator"?
"Quatroblast"
i liked the doomintor
this seems like a very good blaster for hvz in its stock form

While it might not set the world on fire, I think this is a solid blaster for HvZ and some PvP.
I agree

It's the boomco spinsanity but with darts. It's a cool concept but I still prefer the fearless fire as my scavenger blaster.

It's a standard dart version of that one boomco blaster

If you buy the AF roleplay sets you can use the sights from them on the tac rail

Nice video, I would replace the stock with a 3d printed nerf stock attachment point.
