- Our blue planet can appear very beautiful.
But in many places, it's scarred by poverty. According to the current World Bank-defined poverty line of $1.9 a day, almost 1.9 billion people were living in extreme poverty in 1990, 80 percent of whom were found in East Asia, the Pacific region and South Asia. In the past three decades, East Asia and the Pacific have seen a dramatic fall in the number of people stricken by poverty. The decisive force in bringing about this change has been China.
Within a few decades, more than 700 million rural Chinese were lifted out of poverty. By 2012, China's poverty relief effort entered a critical stage, when the most rigid challenges would have to be confronted. There were still almost 99 million poverty-stricken people in rural China - a number larger than the population of the world's 12th largest country. To lift all of them out of extreme poverty was a solemn promise the country had made to the people.

This is a very important documentary to the world. Here is a country could not bear to see the continuing sufferings of Her most disadvantaged people, here is a people full of human empathy and compassion, here the govt. waged the sacred war on this common enemy - poverty. This is the real China.

In order to succeed such an impossible task they need a chain of right people in right places from the very top to the grassroots. In a ballot-box-democracy, voting based on a person’s rhetorical skill is like buying a lottery ticket, you vote in a bunch of people and hope they are all in right spots. You don’t win lottery all the time that’s why in the West so much government infighting and deadlocks. You will need a miracle to accomplish such thing.
President xi committed that no peoples will be left behind in poverty alleviation in China's,whatever ethnic,practically no racial profiling.
That's really a daunting task in a period of 8 years.
Action speaks louder than words. That's what sets President Xi apart from that Orange across the Pacific.
85th on the UN Human Development Index is a solid achievement for a still young country like China. Jiayou!
Though 85th, unlike the other 50 countries above China that colonized, plundered and stole from colonies to become rich, China should take pride that it uses its own effort to rise. We know the countries that colonized, plundered and stole to become rich nations. Just like a robber who became rich after robbing others, no one in the whole world respect those who stole and plundered to become rich.

To get rig of proverty the government must build road .electricity. and water. A business man can go there to start a chicken farm. This give the local job to take of the chicken. The chicken dropping can be sold to local farmers cheapy to cultivate vegetables.The eggs and vegetables can be sold to city for a profit. We also teach the farmers to plant all sort of vegetables. plant fruit trees and rear animals.

This has been lauded by the UN as setting the gold standard for poverty eradication in developing nations of which China is one. Meanwhile democracy icon USA has 39 million of its 331 million people living in poverty while world's largest democracy India has at least 260 million of its 1.3 billion people living in poverty. Even more impressive, China is on track to overtake USA to become the top economy in the world by 2028, five years ahead of its previous forecast, according to the reputable British think tank, Centre for Economics and Business Research, in its recent annual report. This was followed by Japan's Nomura Holdings which forecast an even earlier date of 2026 when China will achieve that honor.

Thanks to Communism, first time in Chinese 5000 yrs civilization Chinese children were taught basic human right such as all men are equal. This teaching was not only absent in Chinese culture, but also discouraged by Sinsay Confucius. That began Chinese spiritual enlightenment and curiosity conquest for the unknown that led to today's 100 millions Christians inside China not counting Chinese Christian overseas. Wouldn't you say this is one of the greatest Jesus's conversions in human history?
