No, Nintendo loves to test their ideas in games so they can use them later. For example, Super Mario 3D World’s clear pipes had curved edges, and in Odyssey the green pipes also are curved. While it’s not the best example, it gives me hope that a Mario Maker title may be in consideration.

I really wanted a New Super Mario All-Stars that included all 5 games that I've already paid for. Not trying to be a hater, but I would've been so much more excited to buy that than a port for the same price with the same graphics and almost no new content. I remember when i was a kid and i got new supermario for my ds. It was my favorite game ever. I even got a mario nintendo, the back of it was customized to look like mario jumping on goombas and when you opened the ds it was a metalling red color. I have some real good memories with this game.
Damn, I never knew the Switch was another console. I thought it was an add-on for the Wii U which adds deluxe features such as buying the same game again.

You know, been playing this, having not owned a Wii U, and even though the visuals are the same as all the other New Super Mario Bros games, the level design in this game is REALLY freaking good. Easily the most fun of the whole “New” series. Highly recommend for any classic Mario fan that hasn’t already played this on Wii U.
It's also good if you never managed to complete the original on Wii U like me.
That's an unpopular opinion it seems/rn, unfortunately, cause of wonder....(not saying that the new game will be bad but people hate on nsmb(U) now/make it look bad! 🙄 "bland and repetitive" series etc. blabla...)

Despite people’s opinions/bias, i love this game
2019 was one of the best nintendo switch years (this game, mario maker 2, Luigi’s Mansion 3, yoshis crafted world, links awakening,etc.)
