I can't think of anymore off the top my head but I have heard of other rigs that were present at the WTC after the 9/11 attacks have some form of memorial on the rig and in the firehouse even after it's gone to have a 2nd life with another department it's something to be honored and its a nice way to remember all those that died and first responders are still dying now from cancers and the likes from the dusts.
Good to see my department's old rescue is part of the fleet as a rescue truck! Every time I walk in the station upstairs I see a picture of it haha. Thank you guys for your service, you guys are one of the reasons im with the fire department, but good to see our old rescue haha
Yeah, I was in the department the other day (because I’m an explorer) and one of the guys just found out they got rid of it. He didn’t know it was gone.
That was an awesome Fleet Friday. Extremely well done, nicely explained, was wonderful. I'm liking the "better camera" set up too, helps to see detail a bit more. Well done!
Havnt had time to watch it yet but really excited to see your dive rescue unit set up. I do some rescue diving for my department in Cape Town. 👍🏻 Keep them coming👌🏻

My dad drove a truck in the Army, and the keyless ignition is standard for military trucks. I like how you guys have that on your rig, as well as the pirate skull as the logo. Oh, love the shark jaw on the dash!
I’m super curious what kind of certs Eric and Connor have. Especially after the first due fire Eric called I’m curious what kind of training he has and where he falls in the organization rank wise.
Jordan S Before this job Connor was a news anchor I believe. So from what I know she doesn’t have extensive fire training. Eric on the other hand I believe was a firefighter before he went to PIO. This is what I remember off the top of my head, I could be wrong
@@afineproduction3745 I remember in one of their videos they said they both went through a cadet/explorer program with a fire department (maybe the pio interview video)
this truck not only is still saving lives but is in my opinion the very best way to honer those who lost their lives on 9/11 its an honer to even see this beautiful truck but to drive it or get in it would be the highest honer my local department has a truck just like this one as its rescue unit (its not a 9/11 veteran but still an awesome truck) we do however have a piece of the twin towers at a memorial here i visit every anniversary this truck is the true memorial to the fallen heroes saving lives and doing what its ment to do and keeping the evidence of her history still there is incredible take great care of it you guys are legends and doing everyone proud
It is nice to see how Colorado FDs participated in 9/11 recovery efforts. Marking the truck helps to remind us of the senseless attack on our country by terrorist. What is sad is the toll that those efforts had a price that was paid in the loss of so many firefighters due to toxic materials associated with this effort. Looks like a very nice set-up for dive rescues.
That's actually a common route for fire trucks as they can't be (easily) sold like police cars. And most specialty rigs (Divers, Hazmat, Logistics, Animal Rescue, Utility, etc.) have a very, very low miles-per-year number compared to the engines, trucks and ladders - so it makes sense to take old trucks and give them a new life as high-specialty-low-demand vehicles.
@@madgamer248 Thanks. I thought I hear that. I was just a bit doubtful when they drove a rescue all the way to NY. I thought for a second maybe they were closer

I absolutely love that y’all kept the history of the truck and honored it rather then covering up its past.... a class act.

firefighter7752 I was going to make such a post. I fell like 9/11 is getting lost to time. Never forget.
Why would they even TRY to cover it up??
@@jackgibsxxx0750 some departments completely rebrand and decal their apparatus when they purchase them second hand.

This truck is gorgeous! I love how they kept the old number in honor of those who lost their lives in 9\11 and even now from the related cancers.
I remember playing in that truck as a kid make me feel old now
I remember Heavy Rescue 10 from Mastic FD. I grew up on that truck and spent many years climbing around it. Glad it’s still getting used well.

Great to see a former Mastic Fire Department Rig (Mastic, Long Island NY) living a second life of service in South Metro Fire
Hello from holbrook fd, long island new york! I have a buddy who actually used to ride in that truck.
Any pictures or anything of the Dive unit at 16?
Love the look of Sutphen rigs.
Agree
Will Conor be in this one
This is my favorite by far

Request, would we be able to get a video driving this truck, or a response in this truck, absolutely love Detroit Diesels. Miss seeing & hearing them.

Muy buenos vídeos 🚒🚨👍👨🚒
Awesome fleet Friday!! Can you do a tandem axle tanker pumper and not a tender? That’ll be really unique.
More videos to come when you're starting up their trucks and right
Anyway y’all can ask the LT. What company made the hat? Would love to get these for my department in NC!
I personally don't know but I know customink does things like that, custom hats and shirts n stuff
Fleet Friday Suggestion Tender 34, Or Collapse unit
i want collapse unit so bad...
Collapse 45
Oh yay!
Sounds like a fire truck with the 6V92!
It is on i am about to watch it see you all later
so excited
Bring back Do an interview with Marty
Can you guys do some ice the spare rigs when they’re in service
so essentially your dive rescue truck started out life as a standard rescue truck, but was retrofitted for diving operations later on its life.

You guys need to do a ladder 12 Fleet Friday
Could you do a put on of your dive gear please?
I've seen the local police flying down the street with their boat on a trailer. How fast are able to safely go with a boat behind you?
can you do a tour on the other dive?
Nice one
Anyone Know The Intro Song? AWESOME RIG!😀
Oh wow I grew up in Mastic
Is there any chance you could do fleet friday on the TEMS unit or ESU3?

Is stensvad still at that station?
That’s mastic’s FD old rescue truck
anyone know what the opening song is?

Man that truck needs some LED lighting.
Guns n Guns I think they’re keeping it original for historical reasons
I like these lights more

But do they burn up?
