  • I had to get one more Cisco trip in for this year, but this time I was going to target BIG CISCOS! I found some tanks, and if you have never chased these guys before then I suggest doing it before the winter is over!! They are a pile of fun to catch!!

    • @nickdammen1544
      @nickdammen1544 5 років тому

      Jamie Andrew Singleton I’m no expert but from my experience I think I can answer your question. Most of my ice rods and the higher end ones don’t have places cut out of the handle to mount the reel into it like most open water rods so most people and I just use electric tape and stick er on the handle. Hope this helps

      Nick is bang on :)

    • @scarpadog155
      @scarpadog155 5 років тому

      There must be a reason why there isn' t some kind of means to attach a reel besides electrical tape. Doesn't black tape get funky when it's 20 below? The entire idea of an expensive rod that doesn't possess a intuitive means to then attach a $200 reel makes no sense to me. @@ClaytonSchickOutdoors

    "This is Howard Cosell bringing you the play by play of the Manitoba Mauling between Clayton Shick and the underdog, Dinner Plate Cisco..." That's what I thought of listening to you talk as you caught fish.
    Clayton, if you don't know who Howard Cosell was you can youtube search his name. He was a famous U.S. sports announcer who had a very distinctive voice and manner of speaking. He announced some of the Muhammad Ali boxing fights and N.F.L. games back in the 60's and 70's and 80's. You loved him or you hated him. lol
    Imagine the size of the pike, walleye, and muskie's if any, in that lake because of eating these cisco's. Wow.
    I was looking for pictures of cisco's to paint a lure to match. This is more than I was hoping for. Those are HUGE CISCO'S.
