Bring carter back. Love seeing an educated angler share knowledge and information with young guys that will keep the sport alive. People like you are why the sport will continue on. Would love to see more videos of you getting younger guys and women out. Us who enjoy the sport and fisheries love to see you keep the tradition alive. The younger generation and women are NEEDED to generate income to keep these fisheries alive. Thanks from a wildlife biologist!

This video got me fired up! I will complete my task of taking someone laker fishing in exactly one week! Lake Granby in Colorado. Not as epic as those Manitoba lakes, but one of the better lakes in Colorado. Mostly pups, but there are a few 36-42 inchers in there.
Wow! Unbelievable video Clayton talk about action. What flavor chips was Carter wolfing down? Thanks for all the work much appreciated! I also wish you would have been in 39 hours. I think you and Manny would have been an awesome team.

Keep em coming Clayton! Carter got blessed to go out with you for trout. When were your sweaters going up on the merch store? I keep checking but am worried I missed that bus.
Love the videos great tips! I’m curious if you set up in 70ft cause that’s the depth you like on the shelf or was that the bottom of the shelf? You mentioned in goes into deeper water, 100 ft so! Did you mean the shelf your fishing goes one big drop all the way down to 100 ft and you picked 70ft to fish?
I meant that there was some deeper water behind me... It was a very slow incline. but I was on a steeper break of the structure... I really like that 65-75 feet
Great vid. I am so jealous seeing as Lake Simcoe is still WIDE open, so I've yet to target lakers this year. Do have to say though, you said your last later came out of nowhere, but I could definitely see it on the graph before it hit...😉
Yes, I saw it on the graph too :) I meant like there was noting there, and then boom... AS in I wasn't marking it and reeled up to him... You are right :) Cheers!
I prefer a spinning rod when I fish outside for sure... But I still like the spinning rods in the winter in general, less chances to freeze up. Sorry for the late reply :)
Hey Clayton! Josh from Weyburn here. Love the channel you've been building. Your lake trout vids have encouraged me to go give it a try. Once this cold weather breaks I'm planning on go up to Caribou or Bakers. Are the lakes up there "truck accessible" or do I have to take a sled?
Tip 4: have a sonar/flasher. It is maddening to try to cover 70+ feet of water blind. Question: do you fish barbed hooks in Saskatchewan? I have always been happy to go barbless here in Manitoba, even if it means losing the odd fish... especially when you get a treble hook deep down a pike’s gullet. Awesome video!
What lake in Saskatchewan would you recommend that’s has lots of lake trout (not necessarily big) because I’ve never got one and I would really like one 👍
Love it Carter! Touch the fish, eat the chips. Touch the bait eat the chips! Us fisherman are very concerned about cleanliness lol 😂😂 Still sporting the pail I see lol

Yes, usually the cold weather makes it really tough to even move around.
