He is a master of finger picking in his own unique style. To play like he does and sing at the same time shows his virtuosity. Great guitarist and songwriter.
Considering he was in his early 60's when he did this preformance is amazingly. You ever why you never hear people trying to sing one of Lindsey's songs on karaoke night, it's because they're never easy to sing. 😁

Compare this performance with the official music video from way back in the 1980s. That was very stylized and kind of ridiculous with the set pieces and costumes.
Lindsey performing it solo is 1000x better than the whole band on the studio version.
