@Jay Cee It is obvious that you either have no idea how statistics on shootings work or you are just so incredibly biased that you will twist reality, the facts to fit your agenda. Statistics on shootings by police in the US tell you the race gender, age of the citizen shot, the circumstances, why the police were called there for, if the person was armed or unarmed. And the statics show that the majority of people who are unarmed but still shot by police are black or people of color.

Thus, she is acknowledging that issues with race exist and are real. Not every human will do this. Some humans don't believe that race is ever an issue. Why? Because I might be wrong. We all deserve respect right up until the minute that we DO something that proves that we DON'T deserve the benefit of the doubt. It's bad and we're just seeing the by-products of the products they create. Police forces, teams have their own messed up sense of keeping each other in check and having each others back, even when it's wrong. They shouldn't be afraid of speaking up to fellow officers if they're stepping out of line. The hierarchy of power in the police force is honestly depressing and embarrassing.

Official Update with important corrections on this story: Growing up in the 1970's I remember a few, but not many, of my fellow students who thought they were better, richer, greater than their fellow students. If children ever again return to actual class rooms in America, it is very, very unlikely you will see a single American child who thinks he or she is better than any other child on the planet. Nothing can possible be more humbling to any child than knowing he or she is growing up in the only country in history that already has a 140 Trillion Dollar Federal Debt that is growing by a million dollars every 90 seconds.

In the late 70s, or early 80s(I'm not sure of the exact time) they had a huge change in police enrollment. The standards changed to allow many more to enroll. I truly believe this was a pivotal point in how we got here.

There are extremely few who stand for their conscious and the truth. You are one of them. Hats off to you young lady. I stand for the truth and for the weak and die the next day than seeing and doing nothing about it. God bless you.

You have a certain kind of white to get this privilege. Ask any white kid from poor broken homes that don't look like bank mangers and they will tell you that they've had many bad experiences with cops. Ive been pulled over and treated like a criminal dozens of times. Its not as glamorous as it seems.

Those who dislike are without empathy, respect for life, dignity, and ethics. So they never call themself Christians but think some still do, and then they are also great liars too.

Amazing. Sometimes the biggest problem is not seeing the problem and the lady illustrated the dilemma so well... it was clear she could see the problem and her being on the beneficial end of things did not blind her.

Its bad policing and has nothing to do with the lawyers race.
The police should always make their presence known, and she is lucky she called out to the cops, otherwise the situation could of been the same.

User 548753 your right I have my criminal justice degree and all cops need to go through years of learning to train the mind that people aren’t bad, if you want to be a cop you have to remember your pulling someone over or trying to apprehend someone who already might not be having a good day and you unknowingly may add on to that bad day so long story short more community policing less ticket and apprehension
