Sunday Soundscape

- This Sunday I'm going back to basics, after a fashion. Mostly just a simple and slow, random arpeggiator on a nice and complex chord (details below) with a backdrop of delicate rustling of rain. The arpeggiator is also "showcasing" one of two new sounds I designed on Microfreak synthesiser recently, that will probably be used in an album that's on my mind right now. I hope you like this one!

So the Microfreak's arpeggiator is constantly playing on this set of notes: G-Bb-D-Eb-F
It may not seem like much, initially I'd say the G in the root suggests some sort of Gmin chord (kind of like a Gmin7 with a flat 6th added?). But I actually look at it from the perspective of Bb major scale, so it's more a Bmaj add4/G. Or you could look at it as a Gmin and Bbmaj chords played simultaneously, with an Eb added for good measure. Randomised and slow arpeggiator playing over such a set of notes (expanded two octaves up and two octaves down) results in a melody that is sometimes peaceful and blissful, and sometimes wistful or even mournful, which is exactly what I'm looking for :)
