I love that Embark are constantly experimenting live with new modes and asking us for feedback on how we think they should be improved. The 5v5 mode has huge casual and ranked potential, im excited to see how it pans out.

Love the idea of The Finals evolving from a straight foward shooter in season one, to a complex sci-fi tale with deep lore and conspiracy as the seasons go on. If they do this right, it could become an 'all time' game eventually.
Yeah that's the thing I think Embark have a secret longer term vision that we don't see yet, for example the lore story, like damn how in depth can they go?
The new shotgun is for heavy, it fires one big bullet, not a spread of bbs. It's a slug shotgun. Pistol is for light. FAMAS for medium. Super excited for the burst guns!
Many content creators said that season 2 is gonna completely make or break The Finals. So far this looks great and the complexity of the game will immediately go up so much from all these new gadgets and stuff. "Mom get the Volpe VR headset! We got an arena to burn."
Ahaha, love the theory and yeah like I said in the video, I think it's actually the secret magic trick Embark are builing (tree-branch theory) they are building gadgets that kind of interconnect with eachother, and I think it will only grow!

I just love how hyped you get for this game, I remember back in CB2 staying up all night playing this game and how absolutely tragic it was for the beta to be over. I was so hyped to see this game grow and now it has, and I’m so glad others see it the same way I do.

6:30 medium does actually have a breach weapon. explosive mines. need both both u can breach into a room with them instead of laying them for a trap. bit expensive comared to breach charge/c4, but still gets the job done

if this is following the idea of game development This map look like on polishing stage, meaning it adding the model for testing but not the full built one. Basically right after block meshing. Meaning A: It was unfinished map by the Finals but got hijacked. B: It was Deleted file so it had only old data of the map that was unfinished C: It was the data that the CNS gathered and mad it by themself D: Embark wanted easy way to make map XD Personally I think it "C" Because the trees and building and vents look like object from other maps. This CNS is trying to make there own game like in real life world where some small indie compony stealing models and assets from the bigger games. This just idea thou

Oohhh good question, I think the teleporter has a max range that it would activate from, so say you exit that range from the first initial one, it doesn't activate

I'm a bit confused on how the gravity gadget will be useful for heavies to use against enemies. Won't it just help hostile lights out the most with dash or grapple? I know the gameplay changes based on console or PC with what is OP and what is weak.
Yeah I think we'd have to of course see how people use it, maybe it's just a gadget that can't be replaced by heavies current "unbreakable" build as mentioned in the video. I do think that it can help manipulate the cashout but you can do that anyways if you run the goo gun so
I’m very excited for the new guns! When this game first dropped, I thought there really needs to be a burst fire weapon, and to see that both light and medium classes are getting burst fire weapons really makes me happy! Plus the new 5v5 game mode is something that I’ve wanted for a while. Probably the thing I’ve found most annoying about the base game is a third party coming in and ruining a good fight between my team and the other team. I’m DEFINITELY gonna be spending a lot of time in the new game mode! I cant wait for season 2, just 3 more days!!!
Yeah I’m 100% on board with you, I think that third parties are just outright annoying sometimes so being able to mix that up with a 5v5 is really cool! I really like burst weapons too :D

Great changes! Worst thing about squads of 3 is splitting up your friend group to que with each other someone always has to sit out! hopefully going forward they make a 5v5 ranked game mode so we can all play not just in a casual setting
Yeah exactly that, I think in Season 1 launch I had two calls because we normally played in 5s, so someone would have to kind of duo and rotate over ahha
They will 100% still be in the game. Its a F2P game at the end of the day, they need to make their money somehow. So it would be counterintuitive as a business to remove part of their monetization options.
Very much looking forward to this. Solo Que definitely needs to be sorted. Ideally solo que playlist. Having 5v5 will make things interesting. I wonder if we can add attachments to the guns. Atm i dont get the lvl experience and only unlocking camos. Id rather add extended mags, change dot sight. Add recoil grip. That will be far more beneficial in gunfights that seem impossible to win at times.
Yeah even cosmetic attachments would be cool to show weapon mastery or something, I haven't seen much on that side so we will have to see what the game brings!
at first glance it looks like it will dramatically change the "meta" and game dynamic. it looks like a big leap of faith that theyre making. but it seems great because it will open a lot of imagination and possibilities. it wont stay as a run of the mill shoot and explode everything.
Yeah that's a good point, I mean sure it's a risk but that's what Embark like taking, and once you have things that allow more complex or work together the tech just becomes really in depth and there's then many possibilities rather than state similar things over and over again
That oni mask that the contestant on the right is wearing has been teased since the game launched. Look at the statutes when players die it has that skin.
I really wasn't expecting this much, and they did an excellent job of tying all of the new content into the "hacked" theme of the season. I feel like it's cool to see new live services like The Finals and Helldivers 2 that have even half of the effort of Fortnite put into their live service. Can't wait to see where both games go!
Yeah this theme really fits well into the actual theme of the game too, I think that it just works together perfectly with the themes and the style of the game
The reshaper is fine only IF once the turret fires, that it loses its disguise because running into a cashout point and not seeing where you are being shot from will be pure cancer. That burst pistol gives me CODBO2 B23R vibes.
I really hope they have addressed the oppressive nature of the medium class in season 2. Based on the trailer, im not holding my breath. Mediums basically have an infinity gauntlet at this point.

It'd be more fun if you could disguise your own gadgets as random objects until they trigger so you could surprise enemy teams. Turning enemy gadgets into other stuff just seems too similar to the glitch grenade effect

You can also shoot to break stuff. It takes a TON of bullets but with team focus it actually works quickly

Mines are explosive. You can plant them on a wall/ceiling/floor then shoot them to break walls with medium. Also the china lake exists

If you could throw grenades through the TP grenade, that would be sick, and could allow for much more aggressive play, which sounds fun to me.

I’m very excited for the new guns! When this game first dropped, I thought there really needs to be a burst fire weapon, and to see that both light and medium classes are getting burst fire weapons really makes me happy! Plus the new 5v5 game mode is something that I’ve wanted for a while. Probably the thing I’ve found most annoying about the base game is a third party coming in and ruining a good fight between my team and the other team. I’m DEFINITELY gonna be spending a lot of time in the new game mode! I cant wait for season 2, just 3 more days!!!
Yeah I’m 100% on board with you, I think that third parties are just outright annoying sometimes so being able to mix that up with a 5v5 is really cool! I really like burst weapons too :D

Great changes! Worst thing about squads of 3 is splitting up your friend group to que with each other someone always has to sit out! hopefully going forward they make a 5v5 ranked game mode so we can all play not just in a casual setting

They will 100% still be in the game. Its a F2P game at the end of the day, they need to make their money somehow. So it would be counterintuitive as a business to remove part of their monetization options.

Very much looking forward to this. Solo Que definitely needs to be sorted. Ideally solo que playlist. Having 5v5 will make things interesting. I wonder if we can add attachments to the guns. Atm i dont get the lvl experience and only unlocking camos. Id rather add extended mags, change dot sight. Add recoil grip. That will be far more beneficial in gunfights that seem impossible to win at times.
Yeah even cosmetic attachments would be cool to show weapon mastery or something, I haven't seen much on that side so we will have to see what the game brings!

Yeah that's a good point, I mean sure it's a risk but that's what Embark like taking, and once you have things that allow more complex or work together the tech just becomes really in depth and there's then many possibilities rather than state similar things over and over again

I really wasn't expecting this much, and they did an excellent job of tying all of the new content into the "hacked" theme of the season. I feel like it's cool to see new live services like The Finals and Helldivers 2 that have even half of the effort of Fortnite put into their live service. Can't wait to see where both games go!
Yeah this theme really fits well into the actual theme of the game too, I think that it just works together perfectly with the themes and the style of the game

It'd be more fun if you could disguise your own gadgets as random objects until they trigger so you could surprise enemy teams. Turning enemy gadgets into other stuff just seems too similar to the glitch grenade effect
