  • While I don't often find myself drawn to spell candles in general they still manage to fit into my craft every now and again. They make wonderful long term spells as they are capable of working more powerfully over a much longer period of time as say a spell bag would.
I've really been enjoying this home protection candle and having it apart of my daily ritual has been really lovely and I do believe it's something I'll keep doing as the days go on
    Ingredients Needed:

I really enjoyed watching this. It brought back a lot of memories of my family candle shop. So many hours making candles, wicks, and working with molds. It was all just family, and loved selling them at craft fairs. Good times! :)

That's so cool about making candles and the intent of them. I didn't know that candles burning with the herbs could be used for protection. But I'm new.
I love watching candles burn when it's dark in a room. It reminds me of a camp fire. And is so calming to me.
I had been thinking about making candles lately from beeswax. But not sure about how to melt it and with what.
Today I've been in pain so that project was saved for later.
I think it's cool that I find this video after thinking about the subject.
Thanks for demonstrating your first try.💚

    Video request!
How to incorporate a pagan belief into your witchcraft, when you're not working with deities?
    Context :
I have been doing intuitive magic for all my life, and now I am starting to explore my native folklore and norse paganism/nordic mythology in general. Therefore I realized that I have practiced witchcraft all my life without knowing it, and now I wanna get into doing it much more intentionally - at the same time I want to do it more in line with my new life as a norse pagan. Since I only just started on both of these paths, I wanted to hear your thoughts on the matter, please? 🙏

I love watching your videos, they're so peaceful and they also inspire me to do things that have gotten away from me in the past few, extremely busy/stressful, years. I'm watching this one on a cloudy/dreary Saturday morning, everyone in my house is still asleep or at work, and sitting here watching you craft and sipping my coffee...I can't put into words how relaxing and how much peace it brings to me, plus, oddly enough, it's makes me motivated to (of all things) work on my house de-cluttering so I can get back to doing the things I love to do. Thank you so much for sharing and for all of your time and effort that goes into your videos, I truly do appreciate you and what your videos bring into my own life.

This video was confirmation for me. I have been following my intuition primarily in my spiritual journey, and I felt the urge to add rosemary to my white candle. I know rosemary is good for protection, as I burn it often for cleansing, but I haven't ever formally done a protection spell. I felt like this was probably a protection spell, so this video hardcore confirmed that I'm headed in the right spiritual direction. 🥰✨🌿🍂🍃🕯

Seriously, I am so envious that you had three days in a row of what seemed like steady rain, working on your spell candle beside that huge window to boot. What a sublime opportunity to just chill and soak in that kind of... well... magic.

Some options to avoid the rattling sound are a rolled up towel in the bottom of the pan, a metal rack if you have one that fits in the bottom of the pan, canning jar rings in the bottom of the pan. Basically you just need something to lift it off the bottom of the pan.

You mentioned still learning on your candle magic path. I'm curious if you have tried (or thought of) a wood based wick to get more of a crackle from the candle?
I've always been drawn to candles, and really well the flame for that matter, but candles due to the cleansing fragrance. So I found this video really comforting and informative. The engineer in me also immediately went into 'how to make this better' mode. I've recently begun starting down my Pagan path, trying to find a niche where I might more closely align. I definitely am nature based, maybe more so than most, as the only place I really feel 'at home' is out in the woods. Which is where my mind immediately went to, with candle magic. Bringing the outdoors in. That snap and crackle of a wood fire would promote a remembrance and gratitude toward the flame, which is serving your intention(s). There is a lot about our lives that simple placebo effects have a way of enhancing (intentions). Might be something to think about as a way to level up a particular candle, because as it burns you would keep being reminded of its presence even more so than by scent alone.

I have felt , seen and heard so much over my life time. I'm not sure if I'm a witch but thus protection spell seems good now. Nothing bad has ever happened and the things I have seen or heard have been while my daughter was here too and she heard it at the same time.
I would love an explanation as we have seen figures , black pop up faces that quickly dissappear, animals that move too quickly that was in a house where there were no animals . Heard ours names constantly called ( womans voice always)
It doesn't freak us out but would like to know what it is .

I have made myown candles for 50 years. I collect old candle wax and melt it down. I use and old sausepan i wont use again for food and just melt it.
And put in a mould with a metal centree, once formed take out centre. Use string for wick. Pour a little wax in centre in stages once set you have a candle.
I use a bog roll for a mould this gets dumped after use.
