It seems to me that the landowners and the DAO are not on the same side. This is because the DAO could produce fuel without the involvement of landowners. The project needs to find a role in sociality to Landowners. I wrote a proposal today how we can partially resolve this issue. It was sent via support form as feedback. I'll sent it You in a moment. Maybe it will be some inspiration. Congratulations for a lot of votes.
It's a bit disappointing that Viper isn't included alongside you. He was one of the key figures dedicated to enhancing the competitive aspect of the game
I love Viper Coffaro but during the previous epoch, the entire competitive aspect of Illuvium has been cast aside. Likely a matter of avoiding Scope creep but nothing is stopping Viper from voicing his concerns and talking directly to the team even when not on Council. Also I talk to many esports experts regularly
Illuvium OW has excellent bones the game just need to be fleshed out to make the game more engaging. Combat will be a huge moment to get right. Acquiring loot while battling in OW would be amazing!
Hey Scoriox, long time fan here. I think user acquisition can be amplified if we look at not only the demographics of our generation; where Pokemon was in our lives as kids, but also today's kids. My fiancé's niece absolutely loves squish mellows, I think if Illuvium could try to partner with them and make a select few of them to start with, with the target audience being ages 10-16 perhaps. That will bring in another generation of people just like we were as kids, that could possibly have Illuvium be it's Pokemon. The squish mellows could drive additional revenue and possibly bring in new players, both the kids that learn about Illuvium from the toy, and possibly the parents that want to start playing, or at least possibly finance what the child may want from the games. I also agree with your Illuvium Zero comments. While I'm not a big land holder (just a T1); the amount of time I've put into it and the hype behind it possibly being how I can afford to play the Overworld somewhat competitively has recently taken quite a hit. It's fine that the attention of the dev''s is more on the other aspects of the game atm, a city builder without competitive elements will not do well, so it definitely will need more attention prior to the full release of the game. Things like building defenses possibly being your personal Illuvials, buildings being pilfered for resources, guild wars and top player rewards, massive resource battling events (a giant overview of the map of land plots, where you can see resources available for gathering, where land owners can guild up and use their plots to fight for those resources, ie extra fuel passive generation, etc...).
re: landowners. You know, it strikes me that Illuvium has many constituencies. Companies in some parts of the world have specific board seats dedicated to particular roles in the company. For instance, some have board seats for labor: The union boss sits in the same room as the other board members to represent the workers. Maybe the council needs to consider this sort of a structure where there are 2 seats set aside to represent land. X many seats represent Development. Y many seats represent the DAO.
Congrats. Nobody deserves it more than you brotha! Arena in mobile would be clutch! I spend too much time at work during the week to be able to play, but if it was on my phone… 👀
Changes to the economy such as recent land changes should not in my opinion be released without running it by council first. I really like the idea if creating more value for landowners as Kieran has previously mentioned.
Would it be possible to make it so regular gamers could just pull out a credit card and pay to buy stuff from the dao or something and the dao sources these in-game purchases from the market on behalf of gamers? Regular gamers could then just play and own stuff in the game and worry bout setting up wallets and all that side later on. I think Illuvium could get a lot of regular gamers if they had something like this. It would also allow money into the ecosystem regularly that would not even ever leave. Some gamers...probably most gamers, don't mind spending to play and don't really care about owning all the stuff. That could come later for a lot of gamers. Just being able to get them to be able to pull out a credit card and buy fuel and characters would be a great start
No offense to scoriox, solid guy, but why aren't the team hiring real game expert advisors and economists instead of paying a council of amateurs to help make decisions?
No offence, do you think a economist will improve illuvium? Its more than just a economy and crypto is way different on scale and speed. I always preffer to work togather with a passionate person than any PhD who is not into it. And this guy defenitly has done his research, and is passionat (has impressive spreadsheet skills which basicallly is a PhD.)
@@GroenteNL And that's why you have Illuvium in the disarray state it is now, making haphazards changes as they go along. All MMOs all have game based economies. Better to poach experts from Web2 with experience. As passionate as these council members are they have no experience and are amateurs, I can also throw ideas out there too but that don't make me an expert.
Fair criticism. The answer is unfortunately super simple. The overlap with expert game designers and people with an interest in Illuvium, Crypto and Council is basically non existent. The minute that person arrives with proven credentials I don't doubt the community will elect them. The truth is they don't want to yet, or haven't discovered Illuvium or whatever else
many thx for this review and sharing our thoughts. so glad to have you on board! so excited for the future of our wonderful ecosystem

Congrats bro, i also think it's too early to think Illuvium as a fail game.
Great Video! Well said. Let's go!
Congratulations, super excited for you and well deserved. 🎉🎉🎉❤
Congrats Scoriox. The future is in good hands with you in it!!
